We always order for delivery. We are a picky little family and they always nail our order. The delivery is very quick. I am always impressed with delivery time. Now the food, ITISAMAZING! I love the spicy beef pepper sauce. My kids love the sweet & sour chicken. Mmmmmmm! Plus, everyone has always been very nice. Ordering for a family is kinda spendy but plenty of food comes, so we always have leftovers. The fact that they deliver and are located in East Simi and we are West Simi is awesome.

Great Chinese food here in Thousand Oaks, Johnny is always at the front desk and is very friendly, The prices are nice and reasonable for for Chinese food in Thousand Oaks, cheaper than all the other restaurants. The fried rice is always soft and with just enough moisture, my whole family loves their soft noodle chicken chow mein. We order their orange chicken a lot and is awesome. Its just really good Chinese food at a great price.

This has been a favorite in our family for decades! We mostly have food delivered, but have had dinner in house a few times. We have never had a less than wonderful experience! Worst experience I can remember? The crispy noodles for the chicken chowmein were forgotten from the delivery a couple times over the years! Thats it! And when I mentioned it, the delivery person went back and got them! Best Chinese food? I think it’s perfect. This is a good, reliable, pleasant place for good food! Enjoy!

My two favorites here are the Chow Fun and Wor Wonton Soup. I am a picky eater so I stick to these two items. I like that they give out these complimentary chips with sauce(not sure what they’re called). If you are on a gluten free diet you are in luck because they offer some gluten free plates. Overall this place is quiet and there is never a wait when a I’ve gone. The décor takes you back to the 70s-80s, but I think it gives it it’s charm.

If you have tried the food here years ago and didn’t like it, I urge you to give Imperial Garden another try. New owners took over the place in 2013. Not only are they extremely nice and accommodating, but the food(which used to be mediocre) is exceptional! Usually I am here for dinner, but I met a friend here for lunch and was really impressed. The lunch special portions are huge and reasonably priced for what you get. I ordered Wor Won Ton Noodle soup and received a gigantic bowl full of won tons, noodles, veggies, chicken and shrimp in a tasty broth. My friend received a generous portion of her entrée along with a salad, brown rice and fruit. As mentioned in other reviews on this page, the décor is outdated, with peachy-pink and turquoise southwestern style furnishings. But the restaurant is well kept and clean, and the food and service makes it all worthwhile!

I have been going here for years and honestly I have never had a bad experience. The food is great and the service is above average. I pretty much only come for lunch because the lunch specials are such a great deal. They start under $ 7 which is amazing for the quality and quantity of food you get. My favorite dish is the cashew chicken but I’ve enjoyed everything else I’ve tried here. Yeah the décor is dated but again, I’m usually stopping in for lunch by myself so I really couldn’t care less. Highly recommended.

Generous portions but the food wasn’t THAT amazing. Kinda wished I had’ve gone to Panda to be honest. Would order takeout again but can’t see myself craving this place

Spent over 30 bucks for some fried rice and black bean shrimp. I was okay with the price cause I’ve gone here before and they usually give good sized portions and the quality is pretty good. I was extremely disappointed when I received ridiculously bland and undercooked fried rice(how can you mess up fried rice??) and rancid tasting shrimp. Ended up ordering pizza instead. Didn’t even bother calling back and complaining cause I knew they wouldn’t do anything about it besides possibly offer us a discount for when we go back, which we NEVER will.

I was in the neighborhood and craving Chinese so I stopped in at Imperial Gardens for lunch yesterday. I was greeted and seated right away. My order was taken quickly and my food came out in a timely manner. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The woman who helped me the most really went out of her way to make sure I liked my dish and that it came out just how I wanted it. I got the grilled shrimp with vegetables and it was HUGE. The shrimp were very juicy and tender, just the way I like it and so hard to find in most restaurants. The pineapple sauce tasted largely like lemon sauce with chunks of pineapple, but that was fine — it was very tasty. I would happily eat here again. The atmosphere is comfortable and the restaurant is pretty good sized so it would work well for a larger group too.

Been coming here since high school… So at least seven years. I love this place. Its my favorite Chinese food around! I could eat here every day and not get enough. My favorite item is the Jade Shrimp. It is Extremely sweet and deep fried. If you don’t like either, I wouldn’t recommend it but otherwise you should try this! I love the fried rice, beef and broccoli… EVERYTHING here! I usually order delivery and take-out from here. I think I have only sat in the restaurant maybe once or twice. The service was excellent and very attentive! Just writing this review is making me want to order lunch from here today!

We ordered imperial shrimp and bbq pork with broccoli. Both were basically bowls of broccoli with scattered meat. Both were watery and had no flavor. Both made us sick the next morning. Disgusting and not worth it.

Love their lunch specials. They have a Unilocal deal for non– lunch specials. Super good service. Quick on refills. Authentic and tasty. Mapo tofu was good. Filet fish and scallops in brown garlic sauce is my current favorite. Chicken mushu is a little salty but also good. Honey chicken is perfectly crispy and flavorful. We have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. They also deliver.

Overpriced and only mediocre food. And they are cheapskates that charge for any extras. On my last carry out visit there, I asked for a couple extra iceberg lettuce pieces for my lettuce wraps. They gave me 2 additional pieces of lettuce and added $ 1 to my bill. Really!!! The order I was picking up was for $ 75 and they couldn’t throw in 2 more pieces of lettuce?!? That was really just my final straw there but i’ve had a few other incidents of that nature there. The food is nothing spectacular. It’s not bad by any means but, for the price I expect much better quality food. It’s like going to Mastro’s and getting Outback Steakhouse quality. You just feel kinda cheated by the whole experience. The one and only perk is that they deliver. So if you need food delivered and feel like spending $ 60-$ 80 to feed approx 4 – 5 people mediocre food, then this is the place for you! However, if you can go pick up your Chinese food, I highly recommend Golden Dragon on TO Blvd.

Imperial Garden has been our reliable go-to spot for Chinese food in East County for almost 20 years. The service has always been excellent and the food is simply as good as it gets. I especially love the Crispy Green Jade Shrimp! The facility is definitely out of the way, found in a local strip mall near a laundromat, and the décor can appear dated and out-of-place at times, such as the huge mirror behind the bar or Southwest theme seats, but superficial things like this can be overlooked when you taste the food. It’s the real deal. The portions at this restaurant are on the large side, so you may want to split a dish with your partner or be prepared to carry out enough for a second meal. The prices are a little on the steep side, but considering what you get, it’s well worth it. This is a very easy five star review…

was going to give this place 3 stars. The food is decent, and they are super nice so bumped it up to four. For a lot of Chinese places, the meat can be hit or miss. I am not expected ribeye steak, but you can really taste the difference when they use lower quality stuff. Sometimes I can even taste the difference when using baking soda as a meat tenderized. The chicken I had here was okay. My favorite dish was actually the vegeterian pan fried noodle. The noodles were thick and soaked up a lot of the sauce. I love my some sauce. Hot and Sour Soup and the Egg Drops were both excellent as well and both vegetarian(if you were worried about meat or them using animal stock). Definitely worth a shot if you are in the area.
