Our family was on vacation in the LA area, and we decided to have a family portrait taken. Jim is my cousin, so we decided to use him… thinking we’d get a nice shot of all five of us on a park bench or something simple. Jim instead took us to a beautiful nearby Phantom Ranch and very artfully captured the most gorgeous pictures of all of us, as a group and in smaller individual shots and pairs. I was so incredibly impressed with his expertise in handling the kids, coming up with great positioning for the shots, his good humor in 98 degree weather, keeping us all relaxed and natural. He was very thorough, patient and efficient with our time. It was a sheer pleasure. And when we saw the proofs, we were amazed. The setting, and how he captured it, is so beautifully done. His artistry is apparent in how he shot us, while we also capturing our natural selves in our expressions. He is top notch! Couldn’t be more pleased.
