Great view. Good coffee and pastries. I had chocolate brownies, cinnamon twist and chocolate éclair. All were very tasty. I normally come here for coffee whenever i am in that neighborhood.

Finest piece of boardwalk real estate ever for a coffee shop, it’s a postcard’s dream here in Tiburon. To make a tourist trip to Tiburon complete, it’s always ended here at «Caffe Acri» for us. But that’s not just because of its gorgeous eye-catching qualities. It’s because the HOTCHOCOLATE and LATTES are from the ground up stupendous, and time after time, always served with integrity and dependability. They warm the frosted mouth and belly. The pastries aren’t exactly first-rate, but they’re nothing to bat away either. They also have cool drinks and artisan ice cream for the summer season. #elevation

Flies and pigeons… that’s all you get plus mediocre food and service. All our sandwiches were very bland and tasteless. Salad was wilted. If you want to get a good food go to Potbelly… that should give you the level of this place. The best thing is the location. I would go to more pricer places around the corner at least you get decent food.

Passable food. Bad service. Forgot a pannini and couldn’t be bothered to apologize. Good location.

Horrible service. Bad coffee for the price. They even charge if you want to make your coffee sweetened.

Great location but the coffee and pastries are so so. I also think the place can be tidied up.

People that ride bikes love this place. There were bike stacks surrounding the café. Plenty of outdoor seating. Panini sandwiches: the grilled cheese was just right with cheese melting on every bite. This is a must-stop on Paradise Loop to refuel. Coffee, soda, Italian desserts. The éclair with shaved white chocolate was on point, the ladies were delighted. Stunning views all around of the Golden Gate Bridge and boats in the water.

Great location, full of cyclist and day visitors. I had a latte, which was nothing special but cured the need for caffeine that I needed. Next time I will have to try the pastries.

charming little spot, friendly and prompt service, great for cyclists who want to grab a bite or have coffee before heading back to san francisco. my friend got a lox and creamcheese bagel that looked very yummy and fresh. the coffee was full-bodied.

What a great location and beautiful bay-side view– and what a horrible experience. It started when we walked in. When we ordered breakfast, the guy acted like he was doing us a favor taking our order(the girl was much nicer later) Our omelet was horrible, dry and sort of thrown together. They didn’t bring out any butter, jam, or salt and pepper, and didn’t ask if we need any when they served our food– we had to go fetch it. The coffee was ok but the chai tea was too sweet, and so on. The view is nice, and it’s a good atmosphere– if you don’t mind being surrounded by bikers(which seems to make up ¾ of the customer base… they must come in from the ferry to ride here). And the bathrooms were clean. Otherwise, we won’t be coming back anytime soon(UPDATE– we will give it one more try next time we’re in town… see owner’s response below)

A nice little place where every guest seem to know one another. The breakfast was great. A bit high priced but this is Tiburon people :) Panncakes were supergood!

NOTE: I’m a resident here in Tiburon, so my views may be a bit different to others’. PROS: great corner location in Tiburon; charming staff; nice, rare-for-Marin outside patio with(sometimes) direct sunlight; super yums cappuccinos; great tea selection; really good pastries CONS: most cooked food is fairly average; closes absurdly early, see below for discussion on this I’ve come to Caffe Acri since they opened. Frankly, there are no other cafes in Tiburon, and they’re in a prime location, so that’s fine. But now that I live in Tiburon and commute to San Francisco for work by ferry, one thing absolutely blows my mind: how can such a charming little café — really, the only Euro-style café in Tiburon — close so early?! To illustrate my point: the SF-Tiburon commuter ferries arrive at roughly 5:50pm and 6:50pm. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve stepped off the ferry, on a beautiful warm spring or summer evening — or for that matter, a cozy cold winter evening — and wanted — yearned! — to step inside and grab a tea or glass of wine. Or those evenings after dinner when you just want to go sit amongst other people, like a café in Paris’ famed Quartier Latin, to read a book… or perhaps even write your own! But no: no such luck for weary commuters. Must go straight home, or straight to dinner, and then straight to sleep, apparently. Interestingly — and my impetus for writing this review now — I worked from home today, and I’ve been here since 4pm; I’m currently writing this from Café Acri right now. It’s now 6:30pm; and annoyingly, they’ve of course been closed since 6pm. It’s just such a shame, that in charming little Tiburon, such a self-proclaimed«European town,» we have literally nowhere to grab a tea, coffee, or glass of wine, unless we venture into one of the(few) full restaurants. To not have a café that remains open into the evening is absolutely antithetical to the very essence of what defines a «European town.» I understand if they closed at, say, 9pm — nobody stays awake past 9pm in Tibs! — but at least don’t close at the absurdly early hour of 6 or 7! Café Acri team: if you guys extend your hours, I will happily bump this review up to 4-stars! :)

Open on 24th Dec. That would sum it up but I can elaborate. The food was below average in taste/freshness but above average in price. Unfortunately the high cost did not include good service or a nice bathroom. I guess it was for the view at the pier behind the café.

Stopped for a lunch during a bike ride in Marin county. I had organic turkey panini. It was ok. Not hot enough. The cashier was rude. I asked receipt and he said he already threw it away.

It’s one of the nicer coffee shops in Marin County, but it doesn’t have the best tasting food. There are several other options for food that are better in Tiburon. However, the atmosphere is nice, the coffee is good, the service is good, and the prices aren’t outlandish. The view is pretty good from within the coffee shop itself, but it gets much better once you walk out of the coffee shop and go to the Shoreline Park. This is a very popular spot for cyclists during the weekend mornings. Beware the long lines for the bathroom on these mornings. There’s also a nice seating area outside if you can get a table. It’s kid friendly to, but they may prefer the candy shop right next door. Tiburon has a lot to offer, many of the places have a good views. If you are looking for a café in Tiburon with a view, this is the place to go.

This is, by far, one of the nicest coffee shops in Marin county. I absolutely enjoyed myself here. Very calm and relaxing coffee shop situated right off the bay with spectacular views of Tiburon, CA and of the bay area. I had the caramel macchiato with a double shot of expresso. It was very good. I also had a chance to taste the their hot chocolate and it was very good as well. I would highly recommend this coffee shop because of its nice selection of coffees, lattes. and wonderful views.

Drink: I had the mocha cause my GF knows my drink ;p Décor: nice décor, a bit rustic in that sense. Overall: not much to comment, only came in for a quick coffee run and then off to sight seeing.

One of my favorite go to spots if I’m working from home in Marin or need a warm coffee when riding the loop. Nice coffee and cakes, nice people and a great warm environment. You won’t feel like you’re in a café cave with windows on two walls and the Marin sun outside. At busy times it does get a bit touristy, but at the odd hours of the week its a peaceful place to enjoy your lunch of afternoon coffee. the coffee is just fine, the pastries are nice, and they have some wonderful warm sandwiches. There are salads and yogurts for the health conscious patrons and gelato and flavored coffees for those who are not. The two things that stand out for me are the Goat Cheese and tomato baguette sandwich and their Tiramisu Cake which is just the prefect thing to go along with your coffee. If you are looking for a nice casual café and you’re in the area this is the place for you, and if you’re looking for a new rout on your road ride put it as a way point on your paradise loop ride.

How do I post Negative 5 Stars? I guess I can only go to one. In all fairness, this is probably a good shop. In all fairness the guy running the coffee/expresso machine at about 4:40pm Saturday 8⁄10 was probably having a bad day. But I asked this dude if I could please order a Café Au Lait, and points to his left and says tersely, «You pay over there first», I say fix your Italian or Spanish accent first then go to politeness school with that Italiana/Swiss bimbo who refused to show Oprah a hand bag because it was«too expensive» for her(how news imitates life). In politeness-coffee-shop school you will learn not to point and to end the sentence with«please» when dealing with general public. I walked out.

This is the perfect oasis for the weekend warrior cyclist. They are very cordial about coming in helmet on, bike parked outside. In fact, they even have racks right outside, although many people just sit outside with their bicycle leaning up on the table next to them. What makes this place stand out though is the friendly service and tasty café food. My personal favorites: the two egg dish with the eggs poached. The toast that comes with it is excellent, and it’s a healthy breakfast that is the perfect recharge while you are on the paradise loop. The location is also amazing and right next to the water if you want to step outside and soak in the views.
