The food is okay for a buffet. It’s just the basic, not the best quality, typical Asian buffet food. This buffet does have the largest variety of sushi that I’ve ever seen at a buffet though.

For a buffet it was very clean and well maintained. There was always someone testing the temperature of the foods and cleaning up every time I went to refill my plate. The bathrooms were clean and the service was friendly. The food was very mediocre and the noodle dishes were nothing short of gross. What will make it so I won’t go back is that they served me a bottle of warm beer…

I’ve been here a handful of times. Its usually pretty great but some times it’s a miss. Never been to dinner, only lunch. It a little pricey for a lunch buffet buffet though.

Thursday night dinner was just plain atrocious. Serivce is poor and owner is rude. I can’t even get napkins without asking twice or more on a slow dinner. You might as well just bring your own napkin. Food is disgusting as well. Rubber tire calamari, black crawfish, old fried shrimp, unfresh sashimi, hard fried rice, and much much more. A couple hours after the dinner, food posioning. I sat on the toilet for 20 minutes with diarrhea. You’re better off spending your 16.99 somewhere else without getting food posion. **STAYAWAYFROMTHISESTABLISHMENT**

You can have a great meal here if you’re picky and smart. I always go right to the grill, load up on the veggies and the fish fillets, which is always prepared nicely by the hibachi chef. Fully cooked but never dry. Stay clear of the salty fried stuff in the buffet, and choose your sushi wisely — and you can actually craft a good lunch here weekdays for under ten bucks.

There was so much food here, and I liked most of what I put on my plate. A great variety.

My husband loves coming here and I do too but, it’s just too much fried food and the sushi tastes kind of off. I was under the assumption they had Seafood, which was cooked mussels with a creamy sauce that I couldn’t eat because of the texture, and imitation crab. It is nice and inexpensive though to go for lunch with your significant other and I do suggest going to try it out for yourself.

Regular Chinese/Japanese buffet. Some food are good, some are not. Don’t expect a lot.

This place has gone down so much. It used to be as good as Makoto in Vancouver and we came here so we didn’t have to drive so far. But the last time we went to Makoto, the food was poor. Makoto and Mizumi are owned by the same people, and it is clear now that they had to cut quality to have both restaurants. Today at Mizumi, the sushi was mediocre and it tasted old. Veggies were limp, nothing crisp. Boring chicken, so lackluster. Soup needed alot of salt. Nothing was worth eating except the cream cheese wontons. Seriously. My husband and I pushed everything else away and ate wantons. The waitress brought soda in a timely manner but that was about it for this place. I once spent an afternoon in a retirement home visiting my Grandma and the mush they served there was better than this. I am not trying to be funny. I wish I was. Not only do I feel like I wasted a meal, I am a bit depressed that we have yet to pay for this meal. We had a coupon, which was the only reason we came today. So at least it is some consolation that our check is not full price. Save your cash. Mizumi is not worth your gasoline.

often times most regular folks are faced with a choice. this choice often happens when people think of eating at a buffet. large quantity of meh food vs smaller quantity of a bit better food. if you want to splurge on meh food, this is the place to do it. the sushi was ok, the hot food should be passed.

Don’t know how it took so long for me to get over here to eat at an Asian/Japanese buffet so close to where I live! 8D We came in here for a late lunch yesterday, around 3:00 in the afternoon, and it was decently busy, but not packed. I’ve been in this building before when it was Hometown Buffet, and they actually did some updates to make it more«Japanese»! Not a terrible amount, but the presentation was nice. The dining area was clean, with some kids walking around here and there(typical of any buffet in my opinion), and I thought the presentation of the food was good. Everything was stocked, and the food was reasonable for what you were paying for. The sushi, for example, was typical of those conveyor belt sushi restaurants; the crab wasn’t super super amazing but there was meat in the leg of the crab and that’s what you expect at these kinds of places. I like the variety of food. I think you can see the menu on their website. Like I said, you get what you pay for, and as long as you know that, I don’t see why this place would be disappointing(: Some things were so-so, and other things were super tasty. I don’t think the price of 16.99/person on a weekend is bad for a buffet like this!

Do not come right at 4pm dinner time opening. Most everything either was prepared too early or leftovers from lunchtime seatings. The fish on the sushi buffet looked dry and tacky. They had Inari sushi that was dry, I never seen that before. The dim sum dumplings in the steamers were dry and hard on the pastry edges. The selections were average with some things you normally don’t see on a buffet(crawfish, frog legs). Food was luke warm and a little bland. The best part of the meal was them having soy sauce on the table. Disappointing since my wife and daughter went there on grand opening week and raved about them. Will likely not be back to try again.

$ 24 for 2 people at lunch. Good selection, decent food, soda cup never went dry. There were a few things I would normally like but didn’t and some that were every bit as good as I would expect. I would come back. Rated a 4 star bc buffets are hard to rate a five… you know what I mean. Update: Went back Saturday and everything was great, upgraded to 5 Star. I mean, even my plate was happy to be here!

Presentation is great. Excellent variety of colors and choices of foods. Varied sushi area to the left. Next to its right, there is a Grill Bar ready with fresh meats and veggies of your selection to be grilled by the Chef. In the center of the buffet, there is the hot food, ranging from crabfish, prawns, river and ocean crab legs, ribs, gyozas, green beans, rice, spring rolls, chicken skewers, etc. At the far right, the salad/dessert buffet featuring fruits, jellies, pastries and some salad items, some fresh, some canned. By the plates, you have the 3 soups option; hot and sour, miso and egg flower. In front, there is the freezer, with either vanilla or chocolate very hard ice cream cups and/or frozen icy pols 4th of July colors in January. They look like leftovers. Good customer service from the 2 servers in charge of the whole dining room floor. They ran from side to side getting drinks, utensils, clearing plates, etc. Must say, it’s an okay place for Asian food, if you are not Japanese. Any person or group of people that prefers Quality over quantity, will not like this place. I suffered food poisoning. My stomach needs TLC before tasting junk again. $ 16.99 for all-you-can-eat on a weekend lunch or dinner You have to decide, what is more important to you… Quantity vs. Quality & Presentation vs. Taste & How much you want to pay for it

Here’s the thing about a place like this: you know exactly what you’re in for, namely, piles and piles of mediocre food at a reasonable price. If you’re expecting anything better, you’ll be sadly disappointed. Even with my expectations set appropriately low, I was disappointed. My strategy is usually to taste a whole bunch of things and go back for the few that I enjoy. In this case, I never found those few. I was suckered in by the sushi station, which had pictures of beautiful nigiri all over, but in fact only offered rolls during a weekday lunch. Be it the sushi, the appetizers, the soups, or the desserts, everything lacked flavor. I can’t speak to the stir fried items, fried items, or individual proteins, as I avoided those grease bombs. I don’t even know how they managed to prepare flavorless wasabi, but they managed. The one exception was the seaweed salad, which tasted exactly like I imagine a wet dog rolled in sesame oil tastes. On the plus side, service is attentive, the place is surprisingly clean, including all the food service areas, and I liked the coconut macaroon. $ 9.75 for a weekday lunch. Definitely not worth the time or the calories.

Where to start? This placed seemed like a good idea. All you can sushi and sea food, if the food was good it would of been great but the damn food made me sick. Stomach was hurting each burp was sour and my head felt like it was in a tornado. Dont get me wrong i was devouring plates of sea food, frog legs and oysters. The time of consumption was great was fine and dandy but the aftermath was crazy!!! Regurgitating cold sweat and explosive boom boom chocolate rain, or should i say chocolate tsunami cuz it was vicious in that bathroom had to take me one two of those dissolving fizzy white pills«alki seltzer» its a shame because i was really enjoying the food till i got sick thats the only reason i gave this place 2 stars. Just be careful when eating here. I also found a baby crab inside one of the baby clam shells it was weird i did take a pic. If u guys want to mingle with danger then take ur happy ass down to this place and test ur luck because this place tore my ass up, Literally !!! Sorry if i tmi’d it.

We decided to try Mizumi Buffet this evening based on the mixed reviews on Unilocal.Muzumi Buffet took over Home Town Buffet recently in Tigard, OR on 99W. It’s in the same parking lot as H-Mart. I never visited the Home Town Buffet before Mizumi took over so I can’t really compare what the interior looked like. Though, I am pretty sure Mizumi kept the interior exactly the same. I think they only added some additions such as sushi wall paper above the sushi bar and a few other things. The buffet is just like any Asian buffet but Muzumi offers more sushi and seafood. Any lobster fans out there? If you answer yes than Mizumi Buffet is tour place to chow down and eat your money’s worth. The buffet is $ 17.00 a person. However, there is a coupon online at for 50% on the 2nd buffet but 2 beverages are required. You have to print out but it doesn’t expire until 12/31/2015. Also, you can eat free on your birthday(w/valid photo ID) and 2 paying adults. Buy 2 and get the 3rd free. So, lobsters at Mizumi is quite interesting. The lobsters are basically on a timed interval because one is out everyone jumps for it(gone in a matter of minutes). It’s probably the most popular dish there. Above the lobsters, there is a sign that reads«2 per person and sharing is caring». So, if you plan on getting a plateful, forget it. Depending where you sit, you can gage when the lady brings out the tray of lobsters. If you are lucky, you can grab the bigger pieces once it comes out or get stuck with the smaller ones. With the handful of rounds, I’m pretty sure my family ate 2 whole lobsters this evening. We definitely got our money’s worth. Other than the standard dessert bar, prepackaged popsicles/ice cream is offered. The frozen foods are in a freezer near the soup area. No self serve ice cream here. Fortune cookies are also available in the dessert section(individually wrapped). Overall, the food/service was decently good and I probably would return. Mizumi is decently good but not great. I must admit it’s one of the better buffets on the Westside. I will say, there are no buffets in Oregon good as Las Vegas.

This place is cheap but please don’t have too high of an expectation. I just found food either really dry or yucky. They do have lobsters. Chinese cooked style. And also it’s old aged lobster so meat is really rough. There are times I had difficult swallowing the food. Yes because it was yucky. Just don’t know how to get it down. This place is Chinese ran. So not real Japanese food. I came because I just wanted sushi. It’s good with big group. All my friends all agree that you can’t expect too much for $ 15 per person. They have snow crabs. I wish they just boil it and have butter dip. Would be a lot yummy. No I will not come back. Not a big fan of all you can eat. Don’t think I can eat that much.

Lunch with the family today. Free birthday meal with two other paying adults deal intrigued us enough to come! Went right at 11 when they opened. Clean inviting facility, friendly waitstaff, fresh food. I don’t understand why there are so many haters on here, we certainly got our money’s worth and full bellies! Standouts were the potstickers, Orange chicken, pepper chicken stir fry, tempura and green beans. Cocktail shrimp was plentiful and there seemed to be constant monitoring of the empty trays and cleaning up spills. Loved the amazing array of sushi rolls, one called crazy monkey with kiwi and bananas. They also had a Mongolian grill option we did not do, but had all the raw ingredients to choose your own stir fry ingredients. They must have improved their service since other reviews as we always had full water glasses and covered mmk cleaned table of our dirty dishes. Asked for the ice cream cups near the end. Would definitely come back!
