This is inside Whole Food market in the back. I never noticed it until hockey season when I saw their tv at the bar(they serve beer). I also saw they had pulled pork samiches, so I had to get one. Very tasty. Better, by far, than the last 2 establishments I’ve visited. Meat is done quite well and there are usually 2 varieties, one with more char! The bun is crispy/chewy enough, the coleslaw and extras add to the samiche. Add a Mac n Jack beer and this is a near perfect lunch. Only needs sweet potato fries to really be perfect. Second best pulled pork in Oregon.

being from texas, i’m a bit of a snob when it comes to BBQ and put this place off for a while. but DAMN am i glad i went for it! this place has the best BBQ in town by far. the meat is smoked to perfection and the rub they use is like crack! my top favorites are the baby back ribs and the brisket. for sides, i always get the mac n cheese and cole slaw. the ribs have a sweet smoky flavor that fall right off the bone every time. the brisket is always moist and super tender. to top it off, they have an awesome selection of local craft beer on tap. I get my growler filled here every weekend(only $ 12!!). their great customer service is also a plus. sorry Buster’s, this is my new go to BBQ joint!

Don’t get excited about there being a new bbq restaurant in town. This is not it. This is just a bbq meat department inside of whole foods. I tried the baby back ribs. They were small and sooooooo dry. They also lacked a smoky taste and the rub was meager and forgettable. The bbq sauce was the sugary sticky stuff you buy off the shelf. If you like bbq, go elsewhere to satisfy your bbq craving.

The food here is a welcome surprise in side the Whole Foods Market at Bridgeport. Wide selection of smoked meats(perfectly done) to have plain or in a sandwich. I recommend the beef brisket sandwich with the works. The meat is piled high, so you actually get a good deal despite the high cost. My son recommends the baby-back ribs, and my daughter likes the pulled pork. Free beans and extra BBQ sauce is a great perk. The mesquite sauce is excellent! They have beers on tap and you can get growler fills. Very cool for when you want to sit down and enjoy your meal on site, or if you are taking it to-go.

I mean, why wouldn’t Whole Foods have a beer and BBQ place right in the middle of the store? I like this place because they have great prices, use good quality meats and can serve as sorta of a husband daycare. I can grocery shop to my hearts content while my dude sits back and enjoys a pint. When I’m done I can pick him up along with some delicious smoked brisket and head home. They also do growler fills which is great! They charge $ 12, or $ 10 during happy hour and they have 4 rotating taps. Right now one of those is a crème brûlée stout which is delicious and usually runs $ 7 a pint so that is a super deal.
