Tilton House of Pizza

Food was good, service was extremely slow and there were hardly any people in the restaurant! My daughter & I stopped for a late dinner and ordered an appetizer that we didn’t get until we got our meal 30+ minutes later! And our meal was simple — an individual pizza and another appetizer if ½ flat bread pizza!

This place is great. We popped in on a Saturday night and it was busy. The staff handled it like pros. It took a bit to get our pizza, which is understandable for the night. When we got it, we ate until we were stuffed. So good. Great food. Great staff. Check it out.

THOP is the best. The gang at THOP treat every customer like there the best. Great food and a great atmosphere.

This is a great place to eat. The family staff are super and remember us whenever we walk through the doors. Always a smile on everyone face. The food is fresh, delicious and good portions. I typically order a salad and am always impressed by how crisp the greens are. We eat here whenever we travel through town and get the hankering for a great meal. Big thumbs up for THOP.

Tilton is a small town in NH. There are not a lot of choices for dining in this area. That said, if you are not in a hurry (they make and bake each pizza to order), then you won’ t mind this establishment. This is an order first, seat yourself, and they yell out your order when it’s done kinda place. Friendly atmosphere. They have booths on both sides of the dining room which fill up fast. (We went during Lunch hour), and picnic style tables in the middle. It took us @ 40 minutes to get our large meat lovers pizza for the 4 of us. The pizza had a tasty thick crust that held up with all of the toppings. I used a fork as their slices are BIG. We had 2 slices extra which we took home to feed another person. Would I go back again? Maybe, if I wasn’t in a hurry. For the area, this is as good as it gets for a Mom/​Pop establishment.

We love this pizza. It’s a must stop whenever we are near Tilton. The guys and staff here are exceptional. I would give more stars if I could.

These guys do it right! The long line on a Friday evening didn’t scare us off and was well worth the wait. This place was full of regulars and then some & it didn’t take long to see why! Friendly & lively service with a smile, despite the number of tickets that kept coming in. They can clearly handle the volume without jeopardizing quality of food or service.
We ordered a half bbq chicken/​half cheese pizza, grilled chicken greek salad & fries. Everything was nóstimos! Thanks for a great meal & the warm welcome.

Great find! We were on the highway driving to the white mountains and Unilocaled for food — and aren’t we glad that we headed towards Tilton! Most amazing pizza — the value addition over the delicious food was the very friendly, humble and welcoming staff. This place felt like HOME :) please do swing by and try their delicious pizzas and sandwiches!

Food was great, everything I saw being served looked delicious! The service was amazing, super friendly. The pizza we ordered was great, barbecue chicken with bacon and pineapple. Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through for lunch.

A family oriented pizzeria with tons personality. It’s like a caricature of a New York pizza joint. The portions are generous, the prices are low and the quality, while not vying for a Michelin Star, is good.
The service is friendly but can be a bit slow. All in all well worth stopping in.

This place was amazing! The food was awesome… not just pizza and grinders. I had steak tips and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs… wow! Fresh salad and the sauce was to die for. I was apprehensive about having steak tips at a pizza joint… but the tips were cooked perfect, moist, and delisously marinated… What a treat… wish I live closer! Wish I had more stars too give… now I have to go back and drop stars off other restaurants I reviewed!

Food was outstanding. Our table had steak tips dinnner, spaghetti and meatballs and a small puzza. The steak was perfect, and spaghetti was better than most Italian restaurants. The pizza was a thick crust and cheesy.

Owners are as nice as can be, pizza is AMAZING!!! When I went to the prep school up the hill I used to come here/​order almost every night because the food was so awful at school! This place was my saving grace, and the staff became like old friends. But the pizza really is fantastic, even my father (who’s a giant pizza snob) agrees… the smiles and great service is just a bonus!

Amazing pizza and a great staff.
My girlfriend and I stopped in on our trip home to western MA. May be the greatest random restaurant stop in we’ve ever had. The pizza was top quality from the cheese to the crust to the dough. The staff was so good including the guy who shook my hand and wished me safe travels among leaving. All in all great experience, I can’t say enough good things about this place.
