It’s a Bob Evan, what do you expect. Food is fine, nothing great but edible. This location however seems to have gone downhill. The staff is trying but they don’t seem to have enough help. Food took almost 45 minutes and much of it was cold. Portions are large and everyone can find something. Bön Evans = mediocre

Sorry Bob Evans fans. This was maybe the worst experience we have had a Bob Evans. Took 20 minutes to get our order taken and then we waited 40 minutes for our order and it wasn’t right. We didn’t have anyone check in with us from the time we ordered till we got food. I posted a picture of my $ 13 pot roast dinner, which had nothing resembling pot roast except gravy. To their credit, they did charge me for that. They forgot my wife’s sandwich and the cheese on the grilled cheese wasn’t warm or even melted. So in summary, waiting over an hour for meals that weren’t right with kids just isn’t pleasant.

It’s okay. I am convinced that this chain survives on name recognition alone. The fact is, it’s too expensive, not very generous portioned, and not always the freshest. Example: today the biscuits were like rocks, and there were maybe 2 table spoons of potatoes on my omelette plate; disappointing for a $ 9 dish. The service today was pretty good, but after the food came out we didn’t see the server until the check. Overall it’s ok, but I won’t be back anytime soon.

It’s been a while since we’ve been here due to their lack of customer service and the declining quality of food. So we decided to give it another try. I have to say that the customer service is back to being great. Everyone was friendly, cordial and welcoming. In regards to the food, the quality is still not that great, especially for the price. They are not very generous with their portions. I probably won’t be visiting Bob Evans that often, maybe a couple of times a year.

Had a horrible experience. Ordered endless soup salad & sandwiches & it took FOREVER to get my food. I noticed everyone elses dinner was such small portions!

We have been going here for years for comfort food. Lately the food quality has gone down hill, last night was the last straw. Potato encrusted Flounder should be relabeled Oily Potato Fish Paste. Yes it was that bad. This happens when the oil isn’t hot enough to cook when you drop the food on the stove, it soaks up the oil. The soup was burned(must have been cooking since lunch time), the Broccoli had the black marks on it that should have been cut off prior to cooking, the banana nut bread was doughy and last but not least, the decafe coffee had some grinds floating in it. A few grinds isn’t a big deal, but when I drank it down a bit, not only was the coffee weak, but there was(and I’m not exaggerating) a full teaspoon of grinds in the bottom of the cup. It was like they didn’t use a filter! The waitress was pleasant and said sorry(no offer to adjust the bill). We didn’t argue, it was a long day and we just wanted out of there and have no plans on going back. It is too bad to see this place go to the dogs, they fixed up the interior to make it nicer and then the food quality goes to hell.

I’ve been here dozens and dozens of times with my grandparents, as they’re 97 and 96 years old. That’s about the average age that Bob Evans draws. As another reviewer stated, they must have some sort of mind controlling substance in the food. Anyways, with my grandparents, the location is convenient and this one is spacious enough to be accessible, so we’re here more often than I would like to admit. They love it, but they aren’t writing this review, so I’m going to lay it down like I see it.(You can copy and paste this to practically any«Slop Evans» location, as I call them. The atmosphere of the place is decent. It’s a homestyle, country cookin’ look. All Bob Evans locations underwent a remodel according to corporate’s specifications, which actually had locations remove the awesome pictures of Toledo, circa 1900’s, replacing those photographs with kitschy, close up pictures of fruit and barns. Doesn’t really matter to me either way, but they stripped away the local aspect. Local flare is always more welcoming than looking at photos of blueberries blown up to the size of a grapefruit. The food and service is extremely, extremely hit or miss. If everything is working well, it really can be a great experience. If the service is bad or if the food is bad, it’s really, really bad. There seems to be few okay experiences. It’s either great or despicable, with no in between. The last visits the last few months have made me want to actually get a review out there to share, as they’ve been slipping something fierce lately. I’ll summarize as concisely as I can. This last time, our waitress wasn’t around much. We asked for an extra minute with the menus and she disappeared for 10 minutes. Something spilled behind us, delaying drink orders. Food took 20+ minutes and I ended up sending mine back, because the potatoes with my breakfast were burnt. They came back alright, but the whole process and trying to get things right were on par with pulling teeth. I’m sure I’ll be here again sporadically, but I’d really rather not, and I can’t say I recommend it to anyone. It’s hit or miss, at best, like I said, even when they’re steadily busy, to where you think it would be a little more consistent. Bob Evans will continue to nab customers and I’ll continue to scratch my head as to why.

Bob Evans is one of the best classic Americana restaurants in Ohio! Anyone who hates on their food clearly doesn’t like home style cooking. A pity for them & more room here for us!

Bob Evans is typically my last choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They do wind up being on the menu a couple times a year. Every one of those rare occasions I end up unsatisfied and full of regret. You can get better food and virtually any mom and pop diner… if Toledo had any of these left… or even a Coney Island. Why they are always busy can only be explained by some kind of brain control they exercise over people over 60.

Bombs ass gravy! I ate out every meal while in Ohio and this was the best breakfast I found.
