This place is over rated, and cold. The entire place was freezing which is a bummer when expecting a hot warm breakfast. The French toast is kind of rubber tasting and the hash browns were nothing to brag about… It’s better than the Waffle House but to be honest I’d eat at Denys any day over this place.

Well today was my third visit, and I have to say it’s the third time I’ve been disappointed. So many people like this place, that after one bad experience I gave it a second chance. After another bad experience, I gave it a third chance … after today I think I’m done. I don’t place crazy specialty orders but when I can’t get a waffle cooked properly, that’s a bit disconcerting. The outside was nice and crispy but the inside was actually still raw and doughy. The other people in my party did pretty well on their dishes, except one got charged for coffee he never ordered(or received). Service overall was very slow. It wasn’t even their peak time(meaning no one was waiting for a table and maybe 20% of the restaurant was still empty). There was even a table of four that was seated well after us, and got their food well before us. All in all of disappointing visit.

Great food awesome service. Had the Crab cake Benny. WOW… The Hollandaise is so good you could bathe in it. Clean place, staff is sharp.

We use to come here all the time. But the last couple of times the service was horrible from the waitress and the hostess was not very nice. Food took forever the waitress never brought my chocolate milk. When I asked for it a got slumped shoulders and she rolled her eyes. She went and got brought it back and… silence. plus the food was on the decline.

Stopped in for an indulgence to take the edge off the start of another work week. Got the bacon/spinach/swiss omelette, Very light on bacon; plenty of cheese, but not much flavor to that. Not much flavor to the omelette at all, and for $ 9 I expect something well above average. And the coffee was pitifully weak. I’ve had coffee from gas stations that was more satisfying. You cannot call yourself a «breakfast place» without serving good coffee. I’m not talking coffeehouse good, but could we at least rise to the level of, say, a donut shop? I will say, though, that the hash browns on the side were some of the best I’ve had. Their exterior was very crunchy, the inner layers well cooked but not mushy. If I went back to Marie’s, I think I’d get a side of these with a couple of fried eggs a la carte. I did have pancakes here once about ten years ago. I remember them being fine but nothing special. On account of those, and the wonderful hash browns, I give this three. The omelette on its own is a solid two.

Wow. I have been sitting here for an hour. Still don’t have food in my mouth. Can’t tell you if it is good or not since I am about to leave. Ooooo…food is here. Yup just as I suspected. Average at best. After we brought to the waitresses attention that we had been waiting an hour and still had no food… and the people around us had ordered a half an hour after we even placed our order… all we got was huge attitude. We were very polite. I really believe she forgot to place the order. But she handled it horribly. I hope to never set foot in the place again.

Friendly staff, great assortment of menu items, good strong coffee(flavored creamer available), clean atmosphere and restrooms. I had the French toast and my husband had the eggs Benedict. Both were cooked very well. For us there are only two small issue. 1. Limited parking 2. Cold syrup.

Poor service, pancacks were microwaved and had hot/cool spots in them.

One of the decent breakfast places around the area. There is a bit of a wait time during busy periods: Saturday/Sunday mornings as expected. Typical breakkie menu but interesting presentations i feel. Attentive staff.

The food was excellent as was the service. The only complaint keeping it from 5 stars is the fact that the fruit cup side was extremely sparse. A little more fruit would make this five stars. Five stars should be reserved for close to perfection. Will come back and hopefully ownership will take note.

I ended up here for a Sunday Brunch after finding out that Chik-Fil-A was closed, but it turns out that we lucked out! The portions were large and reasonably priced. The wait staff was very sweet and the food was excellent. I will definitely be back! The only downside is that they shut down at 3pm, so make sure not to get there too late.

Went here after reviewing my options for somewhere serving breakfast in the afternoon on a Saturday. I believe they serve their full menu until closing at 3pm(as indicated on their website). I plugged the address into my GPS and drove from Bowling Green. It was a little hard to find, as my GPS was slightly off and the turn-in is a little confusing. There is, however, a pretty big sign you can see from the road, so I finally found it. They have a private lot, which makes it pretty easy to park, although the lot was pretty packed. There was no wait when I arrived(around 11am)…although it was very crowded in there. I ordered the banana pancakes, and got a full order(3 pancakes). The pancakes had granola INSIDE them, which I have not seen before, but it was very good. Added a dimension of texture. I also got blueberries in my pancakes(.99 extra). The banana favor was perfect and tasted very fresh. They brought out a pitcher of water and coffee… I liked the«fill yourself» option. BEWARE: Only order the full order if you are a really big eater. I can eat a decent amount, and I was only able to eat about half of my pancakes. I felt bad wasting the food, but was headed to the airport and couldn’t bring it with me. My waitress was very nice. I gave her a bit extra for the tip, which I don’t normally do on my budget. The bill was around $ 11 for pancakes, coffee, and the extra blueberries. Would definitely return here for breakfast options!

They earned the 5th star today. My first review here was a 4 because some of the food came out cold. Today everything was hot and fresh. They are more than willing to accommodate the customer. I almost always get an egg dish that is not on the menu anymore, the Brisk Morning. Scrambled eggs with ham, sour cream, cheese and green onions folded in. Yum. They always ask you if you want a drink to go as you leave too.

Clean inside and polite, friendly staff. A nice place to have breakfast. The bacon here is amazing, big, thick cuts. My only complaint is the potatoes are from a frozen bag and you can tell, they have that freezer burn taste and you can not take out the onions.

Came here with a friend for Sunday Brunch and I’m so glad we did! It was PACKED! But the wait for a table of 2 was just a few minutes and our waitress was so nice! Their signature dish seems to be these egg skillets that come with a bread option(I got the biscuit and it was so good!). The Uncle Moose’s Manhandler($ 8.50) sounded delicious! It’s served in an iron skillet of delicious potato, bacon, ham, and sausage bits; and all of this is topped with gooey cheddar cheese. YUMMY! And finally the cherry on top for this dish are 2 basted eggs(basically, they are lightly fried eggs that are just a bit gooey inside). So tasty! And I bet this meal would be great after a hangover as well too… Pros: — delicious food with plenty to eat — cute place that was jammed packed with people, so you know that this place is well-loved by the Toledo community — I want that skillet again! Cons: — I can see how it would be difficult to bring large groups here. Lots of seating for 2 – 4 people, but any more than that then I would call to see if you could reserve a table! Why I gave it a 4… Great brunch option if you’re in the area! It’s well hidden in a strip mall and you only know it’s there because of all the cars parked in front and by their cracked egg sign too. I will definitely come back here to try of the other skillet options that they have but Uncle Moose’s Manhandler was delicious!

What a great place with healthy choices! Lots of great egg dishes, fresh fruit, fresh made pastries and even turkey sausage. Terrific lunch menu as well!

A great place for a late, lazy breakfast. As others have said, they’re always packed and they really cram the tables in. This is the only downside. My wife and I have been there many times, always tried something different, and always enjoyed it. I like their scrambler skillets and omelets, my wife likes the stuffed pancakes, which change seasonally.

Hi there, this is mainly a note to say that the name of the place is now *Scrambler Marie’s* - . A good all-around diner — fine pancakes, good breakfast potatoes, good portion sizes, reasonable prices. The standard coffee isn’t great, but the flavored coffees are better(imho). Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere — it’s become my favorite diner since moving to Toledo in August. One downside is that they don’t have a very obvious sign, causing me to drive around a bit trying to find them the first time I went there. They’re in the same little strip mall as Bassett’s Health Foods, next to Del Taco, on the east side of the street.

I like Café Marie’s because it’s a breakfast place you can go to without coming out smelling like food. They usually have breakfast specials before 11 am M-F and they serve breakfast all day. The food is pretty good. I usually get an omelet and the portions are huge– usually big enough to split.
