Chucks on Monroe

How do you run out of chicken chunks on a slow Saturday night? No Miller Lite on draft either. Should’ve stayed closed.

Can’t wait for this place to reopen after they were unjustifiably shut down by the state of Ohio liquor board. possibly And probably one of the best establishments that I’ve been to in the Toledo area in the last 20+years! They have great food & drinks and prices in town and the atmosphere is excellent!!!

They’ve recently lost their liquor license due to a patron consuming 17 drinks during a 3 hour span then driving himself onto the wrong way of I-​475, killing another driver on Christmas Eve.
They are currently serving food and have updated their breakfast menu.

GREAT FOOD! They have the best chicken chunks around. Also, the buffalo chicken wrap is excellent. We have had them cater several parties. We highly recommend Chucks for great food and atmosphere.

It seems like this is the place to go if you want to end your night in a fist fight. Why does every dude in this place have a chip on their shoulder? Drink prices are reasonable and you can mingle with the opposite sex too but for some reason these guys would rather fight each other.

Very disappointed in today’s experience. I’ve been a loyal customer for about a year now and today I wanted to order food to go. So I went to the website and noticed the ‘Order Online” link, which seemed easy. I went to the daily specials and ordered a couple sandwiches for my friend and myself, along with sides and apps. It said Wednesday’s were $ 2.00 off sandwiches which is why we ordered them and the price reflected that. Placed our order and 15 – 20 minutes later I went to pick up the food. I went to the bar and told them I had a order to go and the bartender told me he didn’t put it through because the prices weren’t the same. I then told him that I ordered from the website and he was confused to how I even did that. He asked for my order again and I showed him the email and asked if the total would be the same and he said no. I then asked for the manager and he told me there was not one. I then felt like this unprofessional establishment does not deserve my business or time. Extremely disappointed in this experience, and the way it was handled. I will most likely NOT return.

Went on a Monday night, and they only had 1 bartender and 1 server. Server said they were much busier than normal, and that was probably due to the Tigers season opener. To her credit, she busted her butt and did pretty well.
Not a place to take a family for sure!!! Tthe juke box played music that was not «radio edited» and music was very loud (for a 6:30 on a Monday night), no Kid’s menu or kid’s cup.
Food was very food. Cheese sticks were awesome! I had the «Chuck» which is like a Big Mac w/​bacon — very food, and wife thought the Patty Melt burger were good as well. Fries were out of this world!
Used our
coupon and had no issues using it.
All in all, this is a pretty good — just not a family friendly place. Wife and I decided that we would like to try again on a weekend «date» night without the kids.

Was in this past Sunday and saw they had a Beef tenderloin special for $ 9.99 with 1 side. I decided this sounded good, this was next in line to Rockwells and Mancys steaks! It was topped with a garlic butter and could have been sliced with a butter knife. Everything on the menu is great and very gourmet for a local bar! I suggested the chef ask for this to be on the Menu as I believe it would be a great hit!

I remember going to this establishment in the past with family (over a decade ago). The food was good from what I remember. However, my most recent experience ensured I will never go to this establishment again. A group of me and my friends all were looking for a relaxed place to get food and drink.
Unfortunately, this did not occur. Before we got into the bar, we heard the bartender say f– n*****, thinking he was out of earshot. Unsurprisingly, none of my friends who weren’t white were allowed in. The bouncer also turned down another group of Mexican dudes after us. Btw, none of us were wearing excessively baggy clothing. We just wanted to kick back and have some burgers and beers. If you like segregated establishments go right on over to Chucks. I will never go to this establishment again.

not good anymore

I ate here a few weeks ago with my parents. We tried the tableside hibachi skewers… it’s like cooking your food over a candle, but it was fun and tasty! We ordered sandwiches all around, and nearly licked our plates clean. I can’t wait for my next trip!

I have had the displeasure of going here after the change of ownership and was greatly disappointed. I would frequent this place several times a week in my early 20’s and it was very friendly and comfortable with a large mahogany bar and an owner that made a point to know you on a first name basis. This has all changed and been taken over with cheap plastic decals and a vacant friendliness.

After my friend’s graduation ceremony, my friends and I were looking for a place to grab a quick drink and catch the beginning of the cavs game before our dinner reservations started.
We found Chuck’s and we were glad. Although only a 5 – 10 minute drive from UT [University of Toledo], the crowd was older, mainly 30s and 40s there. In addition to the inside bar, It has two outdoor areas, one is a deck with wooden picnic tables [looks like it was just built weeks ago] and another area with a roof overhanging the outdoor bar [also looks recently updated] with some round plastic tables and a couple TVs.
$ 1.50 domestic bottles on a Friday night. Good service at the outdoor bar when we were there. There was also cornhole set up outside.
It’s a good alternative if you’re looking for a place with an older crowd.
