I have been coming here for over 10 years for take out and have yet to be let down. The food is very good, fresh and well prepared The service has always been excellent. I have had Chinese all over the world, including China, and rate this restaurant as a local gem that I feel fortunate to have available.

We live very close and this is our favorite Chinese in the area. We ask for our meal made spicy. The consistency of hotness varies for meal to meal, but we keep going back because we love it!!! The combination plates are large enough to share if you aren’t starving.

By far the yummiest Chinese in the city. I’m so picky(especially with Chinese) and I have yet to try something here that I haven’t liked. I recommend the General Tso — extra spicy and the egg rolls!

I used to wonder how this place stayed in business, having a fairly large seating area, as there never seems to be anyone in there. But when you dine in, you see a consistent stream of people getting takeout orders which must be the vast bulk of their business. This is one of the best Chinese Restaurant I’ve ever been too, not just Toledo but anywhere. As Megan says the ingredients are always fresh, high quality. And the portions are huge. Unfortunately my wife isn’t much for Chinese. She once went off on a family thing leaving me to fend for myself. I ate here four or five days in a row. This place is in the plaza at the southwest corner of McCord and Central. The Unilocal map sometimes shows it on the other side of Toledo, apparently not able to locate this address properly.

If there’s one thing that Fortune Inn Restaurant(FIR) needs — aside from upgrading its outdated layout — it would be an improvement in service. It’s not that the server(and, presumably, owner) wasn’t attentive. Rather it was her impersonable nature that made our dining experience an unpleasant one. While FIR does offer a separate Chinese menu, we were forewarned that not all the items were available. Thankfully, the two of the three dishes that we selected from the mentioned menu were doable. The food itself was okay and by no means stellar in any way. Of the three dishes ordered(Assorted Meats and Tofu Hot Pot, Crispy Beef, and the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops), only the crispy beef proved to be the most memorable one. Considering the numerous Chinese restaurants in the city, I am quite certain that there won’t be a second trip. The service left a sour enough of a taste in our mouths to stay far away from FIR.

My parents always take me here when I’m back in town because it’s their favorite Chinese place in Toledo. The food is very fresh and the menu is huge! The Sweet & Pungent Shrimp is my boyfriend’s favorite dish and I really like the Sauteed Chinese Vegetables with Ginger. I love these little family-run Chinese places. I wish we had one this good where I live now!
