Came here on a recommendation from a friend & Unilocal reviews. Food is «GREAT!!!» The«BEST» Hummus & Gyro sauce I’ve ever had? The mixed grill was«OUTSTANDING» as well! It came with Shish Kabob, Chicken Kabob & Shish Kafka, but they allowed me to get Gyro Meat instead of the Shish Kafka. I have«NEVER» had better meat. It was cooked to «PERFECTION!!!» I absolutely«LOVED» the rice. The other food was fresh & hot, but the Toom(garlic sauce) was NOT garlicky enough & the Fattoush was just OK, waaay to much white, hard lettuce. Here are the negatives: 1.) There was only 1 other customer in the restaurant &1 waitress when we arrived. However, by the time we left there were 3 severs. We waited 20 minutes just to get menus & our water. We were literally there 1hr. &5min., before we got our food. So, this is definitely not a place to go if you are in a hurry. Even though service was slooow, our waitress was very informative & friendly! 2.) The facility is in «DIRE» need of a «GOOD» cleaning & some updating inside & out!!! 3.) They charge you for the Toom(garlic sauce), which is usually complimentary @ the Mediterranean Restaurants in our area. If not for those issues, this would be an easy 5 star rating. The food will most definitely keep me coming back!

Delicious falafel wrap! And only $ 4, I was in shock! Would def order from here again. The inside could use some help as its a little outdated and dark.

Don’t be deceived by the fact the building used to be a Wendy’s. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Sautéed Mushrooms were so good. Hummus was great. We tried many different items between the three of us and it was all good.

Went there one time and ordered takeout. The hummus was some of the best I’ve had! Good size portions, friendly staff, and tasty food.

I love their kabobs, and shish tawook, the salads are great as well. Wish they were open on Sunday but, oh well. I eat regularly at the best med places in Dearborn, and this place is just as good.

I’m not an expert on Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food but I know what I like. My wife and I both enjoyed the Kabobs, the shish tawook and the hummus was to die for. I don’t know what they did to it but it just seems to be a little different than everybody else’s in a good way. We will be coming back to try other items on the menu but be advised there is no liquor here, just beer. If you like experimenting with different kinds of beer try the Lebanese beer. It’s very convenient for us based on its location on Alexis where we can just slip down Douglas from Michigan without having to endure traffic when were in our… no traffic mood. We like.

After years of driving by this joint, we finally went for dinner and I am kicking myself for not going sooner. This immediately became one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in Toledo. It is certainly some of the best Mediterranean food in this city. For one, they did a great job renovating the former Wendy’s which houses the restaurant, so you forget that aspect pretty quickly, which is good. It feels clean and classic inside, very cozy and welcoming. Our service was fantastic and friendly and the food was so incredibly affordable for how good it was. The hummus was thick and creamy, very good even though it was on the bland side. I usually like my hummus really garlicky. But this was rich and flavorful nonetheless and I really enjoyed. Being our first time we tried all the meats on the hummus. The best hands down was the gyro meat, which was some of the best gyro meat I’ve had, it was thick and dense and cooked perfectly, a little crispy around the edges and lean, not like the lower quality chewier kinds elsewhere. The chicken was my second favorite, lightly seasoned and succulent. The beef tips were s distant third. Small chewy cuts of meat that didn’t do it for me. We also got fatoosh and lentil soup. The soup was wonderful. It didn’t look like much, just beige ground lentil soup, but each spoonful carried such a rich array of flavor. It was really fantastic, I had a hard time identifying the spices, but whatever was in it was such a tasty well rounded flavor. The fatoosh was also awesome. The dressing seemed house made(I didn’t ask) and was light and tasty and the veggies were fresh and crispy, as were the crunchy baked pita chips. We got the small order to split and it was huge! We shared it and still took half home. By this point we were honestly stuffed. But then came our sandwiches. I got the chicken shawarma which was a lot of food for $ 4.50! Same juicy lightly spiced chicken, excellent Mediterranean pickles, and rich creamy garlic sauce rolled up in a thin toasted pita that was about as long as my forearm. It was excellent. M got the falafel, which was also fantastic. I’m pretty picky about falafel, but this too seemed house made and was super crispy on the outside and like, airy, and moist on the inside. Lots of veggies and also very long. We finished with an order of excellent baklava, again something I’m picky about and not crazy about. But our server insisted. Order came with two small rolls that were flaky, nutty, and perfectly gooey with honey. It was really delicious and a great way to end a great meal. We will be returning. Often.

Mmmmmm… unbelievably delicious! I am never disappointed when I come here. Best chicken gyros around and the taboulli is to die for! Ya Halla’s is definitely the best kept secret around.

As word spreads about how awesome the food is at Ya Halla’s they are going to have to expand or start taking reservations! We made our weekly pilgrimage to Ya Halla’s for lunch today and boy was it worth the drive!(30+ miles round trip) I had to force myself to take a picture of the unbelievable grilled chicken in the gyro before devouring it. We tried another restaurant that had rave Unilocal reviews on their gyros and sauce but after having Ya Halla’s we were left very disappointed. They served over-cooked sautéed chicken with no marinade(or flavor) that were just dry chunks of meat drenched in sour cream. Ya Halla’s takes it to a whole other level. Ya Halla’s chicken is marinated and grilled perfectly. Great sear but still moist, tender, and oh so flavorful! Ah heck enough blah blah from me. Just check out the picture and then go try it for yourself. You will not be sorry!

Our first time here, a gift card purchased at an auction brought us here today. Everything was very good. We both had the lentil soup which was seasoned just right and delicious. My wife had the fattoush salad and I had the mixed grill kabobs, they both came with a side of hummus. The lavash bread was very good, they said it was from a store in Dearborn, MI. The bread also went with everything, dipping in the soup, yoghurt sauce and the hummus.

A lot of places say they have the best«this» and the best«That»… But I was told they have the best hummus and now I am a firm believer. I tried their hummus and their grape leaves and enjoyed every bite. The service was absolutely excellent, I had a very pleasing conversation with the owner and I firmly believe that I will be a repeat customer!

I’m used to good Lebanese food in Dearborn. I was a bit nervous to eat here. Right after the first bite of my humus app… I knew it would be ok. Chicken kabob entrée with rice and side of garlic sauce. It was fresh, tender and delicious. The waitress Malak was a sweetheart. Give this place a try… you will be impressed.

The food here is amazing. I stopped in last week for carryout and again today for dine in. Both times the food was amazing. Today I had a full meal, plus a side of hummus to share with the table. The only thing I didn’t care for was the rice, but that’s not a huge deal, not everything can be a home run. The rest of the food is good enough I don’t even need the rice. It’s the best restaurant bought hummus I’ve ever had. My other two complaints are that the pita bread is store bought, not fresh baked, and the garlic sauce costs 25 cents rather than being provided. The bread is a bigger issue than the sauce, only because 99 percent of Mediterranean places make their own bread and provide the sauce. Pricing was fair, and service was above average. The waitress was quick, and didn’t bother us once we had our meals. I’ll definitely become a regular here.

Not sure why they arent busier, always friendly and always delish. The lentil soup is great and so are the meat dishes, seems to always be fresh and they appear to run a clean kitchen. As with all family restaurants things can get dis functional and the young waitresses arent always an asset when the pressure builds, but comparatively to what else is available along Alexis Rd, Ya is a cant miss.

Delicious appetizers! We had tabboule and meat frape leaves. The tabboule was very green and fresh tasting, and the grape leaves were freshly made, warm, and not all briny like they are at other places. Very well seasoned. Our entrees were kababs, chicken/beef, and they were also well made and seasoned. Definitely a great place if you’re in Toledo! Don’t leave without trying the stuffed grape leaves!

My only time at this place. The food was awful, waited 45 min for our order. When we decided not to stay for our food. The owner’s wife insisted we take the food home, I said HECKYNO!!! To top it off the waiter dropped glasses right from a table she was cleaning, in front of our table and soda got all over me so I just walked out. We didn’t have to pay but I didn’t even taste the food because it looked really BAD!!! Please do not waste your money at this location…

Just wanted to update and say this is still my go to place for soup! They have the best lentil soup around. Owners always seem to be onsite now, and their daughter frequently works as a server. We like it when she’s our server because she knows everything and very good.

Best in Toledo? No, but there are lots to choose from when it come to Lebanese food, and this place is one of my go to restaurants. Nice and clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is great and at a great price too. A lot of the dinners can be half size, and you still get a lot of food leaving nice and full. I’ve been here several times and have gotten different items each time and so far its been great. When it comes to Lebanese food, most restaurants are family run, and therefore have their own family recipes, which means that one dish will absolutely taste a little different(maybe a lot to you…) than the same dish elsewhere. That’s what makes family run restaurants the best! So yes, some dishes do taste slightly different from others, but they are still good dishes full of flavor. I recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick and cheap Lebanese dinner. Cheers
