Good food at a good price. Often overlooked restaurant in the busy Toluca Lake area. I usually get the ham sandwich with a couple of sides. The sandwich is oversized so I go for half. Even then it is a mouthful. The sides of fruit, macaroni salad and pasta salad are fresh and tasty. I like it

This place is a GEM! The food is amazing, coffee is perfect, and the service is excellent — we’re truly treated like family here by the staff who is very attentive, caring and friendly. The food comes out fast and everything is delicious. Perfect spot for a casual family breakfast.

The office group wanted to come here for breakfast what could I do. First of all you do not have to pay $ 8 for parking, that sign is a bluff, we always seem to find a place to park. I won’t rehash my old reviews. Again, the food was good but served COLD. I don’t think it was sitting in the back I just think they don’t have heating lamps to keep food warm. For breakfast, that sucks. There is always this one waitress Marie who jumps through hoops to help you and be friendly, but it seems like she has to do all the work in this place from waiting tables, to cleaning them, to helping in the deli. Alot of other people meandering around doing what I don’t know, not my place to judge. She should be the manager and hire new staff. Very disorganized and kaotic it seems. Again, the food was good for me 5 stars to the chef, but my friend had some pasta salad, she said was bland and had cubes of carrots hard as a rock. Our waitress was very good.

We got a coupon, dinner for 4 for $ 23.99: ½ lb ham, ½ lb turkey, 6 ribs, 3 sides. Called 2 days before Thanksgiving to pre-order and was told that wouldn’t be necessary but that they’d be very crowded and they suggested we come in that day if possible which I did. The people could not have been nicer and the food was very good.

Food itself has 5 stars, but I am giving 1 star here due to the customer service. Other ppl give one star rating b/c of the services; I totally agree with them. Service… what service??? ITDOESNOTEXISTINTHISLOCATION. I went there to pre order a mini meal for thxgiving. Nobody paid attention to me and my husband; the staff was busy chatting w/each other. Finally, a lady with glasses helped us, and she was helpful. On the day of picking it up, nobody seemed to know what a mini meal was; they asked me what it was. I said, «Mini meal… for 4.» Waited for 20−30min, still waiting. Ppl who did not place a preorder left the store one by one. I was still waiting. Nobody was packing the side dishes for me. I complained. It was the same lady who took the order from us who helped me; she said the wait for the whole meal to be packed was not supposed to be that long. Going to the counter for the 3rd time, and I was asked for the 3rd time what a mini meal was. ??? No more honey baked from this location. ZEROSERVICES!!!

First and foremost… why all the bad, negative comments? When I read the Unilocal comment site, I kind of felt hesitant to go to HBH. I have never eaten there before, but we have always ordered the ham and their turkey for our office pot locks literally for 21 years. They had always made the food to PERFECTION!!! DELICIOUS!!! I visited this particular location on 11÷17÷15 and ordered a roast beef sandwich with 2 side orders: baked beans and macaroni salad. It tasted really good and fresh. The owner Marty was awesome in every way to make my food and dining experience great. It was beyond great! Thanks Marty:) I found out that the place has been there for decades and was in a very nice condition. A little old fashion, but it didn’t matter to me. I liked the atmosphere, the people, their service and the ambiance. Please people be a little more optimistic and positive towards people overall, rather than criticizing every little thing. It is very easy to say the bad about people, food, places, but a simple GESTURE will make things so much better and easier to brighten up not only their day, but also YOURS!!! I had a great experience at HBH and will definitely go back very soon!

This place is a hidden gem. The eggs benefit with ham or sausage and home fries with bell peppers always hit the spot! The sauce isn’t over powering. The service is fast and the waiters are friendly. AND bang for your buck for sure! Park at the residential streets. There’s no need to pay $ 8. A little bit of walking doesn’t hurt.

I’m never ever coming back here again. Waited 10 mins for a menu. Then once I ordered took 1hr and 15 mins for them to come back to my table and ask what we had ordered again. Then not only that people were arriving after us ordering then receiving there food and leaving before us. If your MEXICAN don’t come in here. Just keep going and find something else.

If you’ve eaten at the one in Northridge you won’t like this one. Everyone was nice but it’s not for anyone under the age of 60. I love classic, old school restaurants, the older the better. But this place is just dated. Food was mediocre. Go to Northridge if you want the best breakfast ever. We ordered 2 small dishes just to test it out, and we left hungry. 2 stars for the food and space. 3 for staff because they were nice. Service was insanely slow for such an empty restaurant.

I thought it would be more chainy but it totally wasn’t. On the inside it’s surprisingly expansive – they can really seat a whole whole lot of people in there! The staff was friendly, it was quiet. Their thing is their ham obviously so that comes in nice thick slices and so does their turkey! I got a tuna sandwich with everything(and in California that also means sprouts, which is fine but that’s a thing) on a roll and they put. The tuna salad. On BOTH sides. Of the roll. So it was like: Bread, tuna, sprouts, lettuce, onion, tomato, TUNABREAD!!! Brilliant. The bread was a teensy bit stale but I don’t really come to California for the bread here. Unless it’s sourdough. Which I totally forgot when I ordered so that’s my bad. A nice, quiet, friendly, yummy, well constructed, pleasant lunch.

Overpriced much? $ 9 for a ham and cheese? 6 $ for a grilled cheese? I work across the street, I enjoy the food here but every time I order for pick up, The staff is unorganized and my food isn’t all ready. They seem very overwhelmed and I’ve even stood by the front counter and wasn’t noticed for about 5 minutes before someone offered to help me, maybe they need a new staff?

Always loved their ham and ham salad sandwiches but $ 8 for shitty parking now? Nope, won’t be going there for lunch anymore.

Went to the Toluca Lake Honeybaked Ham for breakfast yesterday for the first time. There weren’t many customers and minimal staff to wait tables. The waitresses were nice but spread thin. It took awhile to get our order in and to get the food. The best part was the breakfast was delicious. Their pancakes were fluffy and melted in my mouth. Eggs and sausage were perfect. The coffee was delicious too. The prices were very reasonable. If the service would have been faster they would have received 5 stars. We’re glad we went and we’ll be going back.

Rude! Note sure why they’ve posted that they are open until 3pm, because walking in at 2:30pm, a full 30 minutes before closing, it felt like the staff had already checked out! While yes their spiral glazed ham is amazing, with customer service like that they probably struggle with return customers! On a positive note I found another Honeybaked Ham in Glendale, about 6 miles away. I called and they were more then happy to help me. Toluca Lake Honeybaked Ham has lost my families business!

I have been coming to this particular Honeybaked Hams for 3 years now to purchase sliced spiral ham for my mother in law. My experience today was fairly frustrating and I think i’ll be sticking to Gelson’s from now on. It seemed that Honeybaked Hams is thinking they can pull a rope a dope on its customers this holiday season. My frustration lies with 1) the employees trying to pawn thin deli slices on me after I had been more than obvious, not only on the phone, but to two people in the store as to what I was seeking and 2) by acting like they were the only business in town to the sliced spiral ham game and hoping that out of sheer desperation and frustration, I’d shell out 35 $ for boutique pig meat. I called this morning around 9AM to verify I could still purchase SLICEDSPIRALHAM(not the thin deli slices they use for their sandwiches). The person on the phone was very nice and asked another co-worker if this was still possible to which I was answered with a «yes». I drive my happy ass out to the valley with the understanding i’d be able to purchase SLICEDSPIRALHAM. The lady that originally assisted me was very friendly. I ask for SLICEDSPIRALHAM. She says ok and sends me over to the deli counter and begins to prep my order by opening up the deli container and pulling out the container filled with the thin slices of ham they use to make their sandwiches. I ask her if the ham they use for sandwiches is the same as their SPIRALHAM. She answers«No». I remind her what i’m looking for is not lunch meat but the SLICEDSPIRALHAM. She says«oh hold on» and a gentlemen comes to assist me who has obviously already had his fill of the joys of working in the food industry during the holidays(I feel ya buddy! I been there. This is why I felt it was crucial to make myself as clear as possible!) We converse on what I want, again, can’t say this enough… SLICEDSPIRALHAM. He begins prepping my order with the same thin slices of lunch meat to which I said«No, i want the SPIRALHAM in slices. I only need a lb and a half for my mother in law». The man says«It is the same thing» I reply back«The lady that was helping me before said it wasn’t» The man replies back«Oh, well, we will put some glaze on it.» (Ok, to me this would establish that this lunch meat that two people have tried to pawn off on me is NOT the same as the SLICEDSPIRALHAM that I have purchased for the past 3 years with no problems. I have never seen them once pull my previous years orders from the deli counter.) This guy really thinks my mother in law isn’t going to notice the difference between thin deli slices with glaze dabbled on top and the same Honeybaked Spiral ham shes eaten for years??? She’s elderly but far from feeble. After explaining to the guy that she is going to know the difference, he explains that if I want SPIRALHAM I would have to purchase a quarter ham for $ 35. Are you effin’ kidding me? What the hell was so effin’ complicated about explaining this to me right off the bat? Was the purpose to get me frustrated enough that I’d give in? To hell with that. You can keep those deli slices and i’ll keep my 35 $ cause no one’s getting that kinda dough out of me after such a friggin’ shit show. Who ever is running the show or business method to abide by this holiday season is a total turd. Note taken HBH… don’t bother coming back unless I plan on dropping down the $$$.

This a great, honest family business. I’ve been going there for about 25 years(since I was a teen) and everyone has always been super nice and the food is amazing. Great ham and super sandwiches year round! It makes me laugh to read some of the negative comments– I suppose all places can have«off» days. Occasionally I’ve had slow service but nothing to command such negativity. Also, I don’t think this place is for«old people»… it’s just that a lot of the older clientele are the ones that«hang out» there. I think the younger folk don’t stay to eat usually. Thanks for all your delicious food guys! Love ya!

It is sad to me that my local Honeybaked Ham store closed a few years ago… so I drive to Toluca Lake to visit this tasty delight! This restaurant has a real friendly, small town feel to it… the staff is attentive and the clientele seem to be all locals. I enjoy the neighborhood vibe. The food… the best ham sandwich you can find. They also have a nice selection of Deli favorites. and Grill items too! Super yummy!

It being Christmas, I recently purchased and served two hams. I purchased a ham from Whole Foods for an office party and a ham from Honeybaked Hams for the family. The Honeybaked Ham was a delicious, mind blowing experience compared the ordinary ham I purchased at Whole Foods. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything else. The Honeybaked Ham is better in flavor, texture, and presentation. No one else needs to make ham. We should all buy it from the Honeybaked Ham company.
