I had the spicy pork meatballs and Megan had the Carbonara. Both were amazing. We also got he bruschetta and the bread was out of this world. Of course we had the bread pudding and it is as good as everyone says. A little pricy for our taste but really great for a birthday celebration.

Highly recommend. We went here last night a few days after from returning from Italy and the food was fabulous. The waitress and host were amazing and very accommodating. They have a good selection of wine but only an Italian beer bottled. I had the special lobster risotto which was delicious. Another one of us had the chicken lasagna and claimed it was amazing. The atmosphere was intimate but try to get a table away from the door when it’s cold outside.

The pastas, shrimp plates, lasagnas are all to die for! I love the environment here. Cozy, modern, waiters are all friendly and nice, no loud ab noxious people cursing or yelling next to you(can’t stand when that happens), with a nice location. I love going for walks after dinner with my date on Riverside drive!

This was an intimate restaurant with a delicious menu at a fair price. My husband and I truly enjoyed our meals. I could over hear that several of the guests were regulars. Our waiter on the other hand was a little pushy and often made us feel rushed(asked me 3x in less than 5 minutes if I was ready to order dessert). We’d go back again, just hope for another waiter.

I picked out this place because it was the highest rated Italian place on Unilocal, in my area. I/we all agree! Great food, atmosphere and our waitress was the bomb. Will definately be back.

My favorite restaurant! Fabulous atmosphere and service. The food is outstanding and it’s a great place to relax with a friend or have a large group celebrate there. We’ve had a few of our holiday dinners there(work friends etc). My friend even held her wedding reception there. It was excellent. So friendly and warm.

I ordered the crab and asparagus stuffed ravioli with a saffron cream sauce that they have right now as their special and it was amazing!!! The staff was so nice which made our mine and my families dining experience even better. It was the best Italian food I’ve had in a while. I’m definitely coming back.

One of my friends took me to Prosecco last night for my birthday. It was one of the best dining experiences I have had in the past 6 months. If I could I would eat their every day. The service, the ambiance and the food are outstanding. Do not miss an opportunity to eat there. You will not regret it!

What a great find in Toluca Lake. It has a nice atmosphere and warm interior. From the time we walked in until we finished our meal, we had a great time. The food is fresh and well seasoned. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The manager is a nice guy and likes to laugh with the customers. I recommend the entire menu. I only wish they served more than wine.

Bad food and even worse service. I don’t eat very much salt so for me to be reaching for the salt shaker says a lot. Bland, bland, bland. Nothing had flavor. The service was ludicrous. I was honestly in tears from laughing so hard at the amount of attitude our waitress had. We were trying to make the best out of the situation but, fact of the matter is, she was so rude. I don’t know how many servers they had working Saturday night but every person there seemed overwhelmed. I understand being busy but, again, the amount of attitude was mind boggling. She was snappy and it was inappropriate. Thanks but no thanks. There are much better restaurants in the area to settle on this place for dinner.

Walked by and saw how cute the inside looked and decided to come back for lunch. This place gets busy so just make reservations it will save you the wait. Parking — valet is $ 4 or you can try and find parking on Forman Ave. They have 2hr 8am-6pm street parking. I had the Misto Mare — Grilled Tiger shrimp, calamari and bay scallops, herb garlic marinara, linguini which was amazing. The sauce was light but very savory and they didn’t skimp on the seafood. The highlight of the dish was the bay scallops which were so delicious & cooked perfectly. The service normal, nothing special but I will definitely come back for the Misto Mare.

Dined here twice in one week… my newest Italian discovery, even though they are celebrating twenty years this year. Not sure how this hasn’t been on my radar, but they have now earned a place on my regular rotation. Gracious service, sparkling prosecco and absolutely delicious food. My first experience was a small birthday party for five. Open Table won’t book Prosecco for anything beyond four people and so I actually had to make a phone call. The gentleman who answered was apologetic and helpful, especially when I informed him that a wheelchair would be involved. Great food! Chicken lasagna, corn chowder and the Canadian white fish were all proclaimed to be «hits». I ordered the osso bucco which was huge, falling off the bone delicious and the saffron risotto was amazing too. My dish was the one everyone wanted to taste and there was enough to go around. For dessert, the birthday boy received a complimentary panna cotta — creamy and yummy. We also ordered the oft-raved-about bread pudding with cinnamon gelato– spoon wars ensued… like pirates crossing swords! Night two, a birthday twosome and we met up with Amy, the owner. She was friendly and we got some history about the art work on the walls(hers) as well as the story about her dishes which are daintily painted with Italianesque flowers. My friend had the seafood over linguini and I had the grilled tiger shrimp with basil pesto and fusilli. Very generous servings that we shared, the seafood linguini in Chardonnay sauce was delicate in taste and abundantly laced with tender clams. The tiger shrimp was big, juicy and grilled to perfection. The bail pesto was quite intense, not skimpy like other places, and fantastic. We finished off our dinner with a complimentary panna cotta for the birthday girl and the addition of an affogato for each of us. This is an espresso poured over espresso gelato– an excellent way to finish off an amazing dinner. Prosecco is my new little treasure in Toluca Lake.

F.A.S.T. review Food: corn chowder(to die for), pear Gorgonzola salad(had a good sweet, sour and creamy mix with the pear, cheese, and vinaigrette), crab cakes(I enjoyed very much it was soft, and the flavors meshed well together and you didn’t get sick of eating it which I usually feel when having crab cakes due to the rich taste), grilled tiger shrimp(was roasted well and again justo simply tasted great), spicy pork meatballs(yummy no complaints), I was wayyyy tooooo full to have desert! Ambiance: it’s a bit dated but I didn’t mind it. Service: hands down the best service I’ve ever had!!! The waiter was funny, personable, kind, attentive, and just made you feel comfortable! Tips: metered parking or you can park in the neighborhood for free.

Came here for dinner to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The valet service was seriously disappointing. My parents pulled up and the valet attendant told them he couldn’t park their car because he only uses the 3 passenger loading spaces right in front of the restaurant and someone else had parked there car there — uhhh so why even set up a stand? He was not trying to park it somewhere and run elsewhere which was pretty lame. The restaurant itself is pretty small on the inside, so make sure you make reservations. We were sat immediately and the waitress even brought out a tasting of one of their house wines for my dad to try when I told her he was a Chianti fan. There were some minor things about service that kidn of bothered me, they don’t give you bread unless you ask for it. They also only have olive oil on the table and dont offer you balsamic unless you ask for it which I think is kind of ridiculous for an italian place. We started with the burscetta with mozerella. My family liked it but I was a little off put by the color of the tomatos. Didn’t look like some fresh roma’s if you ask me. Not bright or vibrant in color at all. They had a bunch of specials for the day which most of my family ordered up and they were relatively pleased with their dishes. I got the osso bucco which is definitely a rich dish. I didn’t get any taste of saffron in the risotta or any flavor very much at all. The veal, however, was super tender which was good.

Stopped here for dinner, tried the Sweet Italian sausage and porcini mushrooms with farfalle pasta, tarragon cream, and Parmesan. This dish was light in flavor, but decadently rich in creaminess. It’s definitely worth a try. For dessert, I ordered a cheesecake and cup of mocha. Although I am not exactly a coffee enthusiast, I found that the two items complemented each other quite nicely, and proved to be a satisfying way to conclude the meal. The texture of the cheesecake was fluffier than one might expect, and it was less dense than that of your typical cheesecake. To my surprise, I could swear that I detected the *slightest* hint of licorice with each bite. The level of service provided was excellent. By and large, the restaurant staff was friendly, polite, and attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is best described as intimate and classy. The level of lighting is quite dark. I found the restroom at Prosecco Trattoria to be kept extremely clean, as well as lavishly decorated. Hooray!!! :D My only gripe with Prosecco Trattoria is the discomfort of their seating. As is common with a surprisingly large number of other eateries I’ve recently visited, they’ve apparently chosen to go with ridiculously hard wooden seats that are completely devoid of any cushioning whatsoever. Boooooooooooo!!! Parking in front can be tricky to obtain, even on a weeknight. I would suggest eschewing the services of the valet, and trying to obtain a space on one of the residential side streets nearby.

Came here for a business lunch yesterday. Parking is tough for lunch during the week on the block but luckily they have valet! The place is small but very quaint and the service is great. We were greeted right when we walked in and then seated promptly. Our server was knowledgeable on their specials and sold them well. I really wanted to order the veal ravioli but maybe I’ll get it next time if they have it. We ordered a few appetizers, entrees, and desserts: — Crab cake appetizer: very tasty. It was fresh and you can certainly taste the crab, which is great since most places but too much filler. — Grilled tiger shrimp in creamy parmesan polenta. It was okay, the polenta didn’t have too much flavor and the shrimp was overcooked and hard. — I had the veal scallopini: very good. Meat was tender and the marsala tasted just right. The polenta that came with it was also good(better than the tiger shrimp one), as well as the broccoli/cauliflower — Another person got the clams/bay scallop linguini, which I had a bite of. It was loaded with bay scallops. A+ — For dessert, I had a bite(since I’m not a dessert guy) of the bread pudding, espresso brownie, cheesecake, and tiramisu. The bread pudding stole the show. Soooo good I actually had a few bites of it. Cheesecake wasn’t that good. The brownie was awful to me since I don’t like the taste of coffee. The tiramisu was just okay. If you like dessert, GETTHEBREADPUDDING! I’ll definitely be going back. I want to try some of their seafood next time!

Absolute gem of an Italian trattoria — sweet arrival with $ 4 valet right in front — very welcoming and cozy interiors and the friendliest staff. Small but just the right size of a place I am guessing 70 seats to deliver great service and consistent great food. The owner is such a sweetheart and classy lady. Reminds me a bit of old glamorous Italian Hollywood — she is so charismatic and friendly. All types of clientele from Hollywood hip, power peeps and just down to earth neighborhood crowd there — great vibe. Non pretentious — warm friendly what Italian should be about. No barriers to dine here. Food is on the mark every time. The short rib risotto is to die for. As well as their deserts and bruschetta. Great wine collection. Specials always good — the scallop risotto yesterday was al dente perfecto but I will default next time back to the short rib as my fav. Great wine selection of nothing intimidating but enough to suite every wine level. Great for special occasions, dates, biz dinners, get togethers or just a good bowl of pasta night. If they had a bar — I’d stop to eat solo here at least once a week after work for my carb fix but since they are small(and no bar seating) I almost feel guilty to take a table by myself for a quick meal. This is one of the best and worth the drive. But be patient as the small kitchen is about quality and not necessarily speed — worth starting with antipasti course and a glass of wine. Finish with one of their desserts or a triple scoop of gelato(sea salt caramel and cinnamon yum!). Relax and take in the comfy ambience designed by the owner herself. Best thing — non pretentious and very affordable. Great dining experience but have patience. This is a gem of an Italian place worth the drive.(Ps make reservations) They do also have a small private dining room for small parties. Ciao(chow) baby!

FOOD: my husband got the farfalla with sweet italian sausage and porcini mushrooms in tarragon cream. he loved this. pasta was al dente. this is on the heavier side but he loved it. one of the many specials was this dish: scallops with a cantaloupe purée sauce. i love scallops and i wanted to get this dish but i was scared that the cantaloupe would make the dish über sweet(good thing our waitress reassured me that it was not). scallops were done perfectly! they were nicely glazed and went very well with the light cantaloupe sauce! yum. the panna cotta($ 6) was glorious. awesome texture. not too sweet… and berries so that you meet your daily suggested serving of fruit. i could eat this all day. all day. this officially is now on my top 10 desserts. SERVICE: our waitress was very knowledgable and had some great recommendations. staff as a whole was charming and attentive. we came here at an odd time(late lunch/early dinner) and were the only ones in the restaurant. i would assume service would still be great when it gets busy for dinner. AMBIANCE: very cute place. it’s one of those places that surprises you when you walk in. when we would drive by on riverside, our reaction was«oh, another italian place» because from the street, this place doesn’t wow you. inside is obviously an italian theme but not over the top. fresh flowers. quaint and homey but still very classic and elegant. PARKING: street parking. some free spots but mostly metered. OVERALL: this is a great restaurant. the scallops were amazing. the pasta was everything we wanted it to be. great place to take a date but also great for big groups since they have a larger, darker back room. also, get a prosecco(or wine they have a large selection) and unwind. this place is a bit pricey. $ 70 lunch(thanks to my $ 30 scallops). yikes, i know… but sometimes you just have to treat yo self. yolo.
