Another great local example of doing things simply, but well. The menu here is short, but don’t let that hold you back from trying The Chinese Dumpling House. The owner’s admitted aim is to start by doing things small, but well. The expectation is to grow the menu with time. Two kinds of handmade dumplings(pork/chicken) either panfried or boiled, as well as two types of meat buns are offered(a sweet bean bun as well). A cold shrimp Spring roll, or chicken Spring roll that is fried is available too. A noodle/veggie/shrimp dish and two soups round things out. I sampled the majority of the menu, and can happily say I liked it all, and loved some. No disappointments here. My recommendations are to start with the Chicken Spring roll(fried), then try either the chicken or pork dumplings. Both are fresh and delicious(and be sure to use the soy dipping sauce. I think there’a dab of chili paste in there, and it really enhances the dumplings). Next, either meat bun would be a good choice, but I strongly preferred the beef/onion meat bun. Savory, beefy, juicy, delicious! Several tables are available, or order to go. Prices are very reasonable, and everything in the picture I posted came to about $ 18. A value, for the quanity and quality. This little dumpling house is off to a good start, and I think will be quickly found by those that go looking for something new and delicious! I recommend, and will be back

So I had to try this place after seeing some reviews. Ordered take out and it was about half hour wait. The menu is small but dont let that stop you from tasting this place. Noodles with shrimp was great, good fresh vegetables and some nice pieces of shrimp. Pork dumplings were delish, I ate close to six and probably could of ate more. Fresh spring roll was best I’ve ever had. This is NOT your run of the mill chinese restaurant where everything is loaded with sodium and you kinda feel funky after. Unfortunately they were out of wonton soup which I will be ordering next time.

Simply put, If you enjoy Chinese food you must eat here. My wife and I ordered the soup, one wonton and one chicken and ginger. Both were fantastic! We also shared an order of dumplings and meat pies which were out of this world. While we were waiting for our order we had conversation with the man working the counter who was very nice and informed us of the origin the food we ordered. We will be back!

Sometimes you just need a dumpling, or multiple orders! With the cold months upon us, I felt like comfort food. Dumplings are on my comfort food list. A group of us ordered a dozen each of the chicken /chive and the pork /chive dumplings, three meat buns, chicken spring rolls, shrimp rolls and an order of the pork with fried noodles. Sounds like a lot but there were five of us so it was perfect for us to share and snack. Everything we had just hit the spot. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the outside and steaming warm on the inside. The flavors in the pork fried noodles were fantastic. The meat buns were not my favorite compared to everything else but others in the group loved them. The price point for each menu item is perfect and I will be frequenting the Chinese Dumpling House.

This place is amazing! I got take out twice the same week because I couldn’t get enough. We ordered the chicken dumplings, meat buns, and fresh spring rolls. Everything was great, and it’s pretty filling. The meat buns really are super juicy so don’t take that warning about it being hot lightly. Friendly service, small but nice and clean interior, and great prices. It’s too bad that I’m from out of town because I would love to go back.

Best dumplings I have ever had. Cute little place with nice people. Very inexpensive and tastes amazing. The meat buns are delicious, but of course the dumplings are to live for. The fried noodles are also great. Best Chinese food in Buffalo. All the other Chinese food here sucks.

Amazing is all I can say! I decided to try this place because of it proximity to where I was today. I kept searching the website to determine my choices assuming their was a larger menu. I later realized this is a 5 item establishments. But what they do is good. I decided to go with the Pan Fried Dumplings with chicken and chives and I was not disappointed. It was takeout and time was short but this were out when I arrived at my next destination and so delicious. I also enjoyed the sauce that came wiht it as well.

Had almost everything on the menu today. Didn’t have the soup or spring rolls. It was so inexpensive!!! We had enough leftover for another meal. The flavors were good. Not too much ginger or garlic. Everything tastes homemade. Not frozen for a long time but made fresh for us! The pan fried dumplings had a good amount of crunch and weren’t overdone. We had Chinese tea which added to the meal but I would have liked it in a pot and steeped– not a tea bag in a mug. I know– picky. It’s a tiny little place and a $ 10 minimum on credit cards. I’d eat there more if I lived closer!

Happy this little place popped up! Let me tell you about it. I was hanging out with three friends and this place was a two-minute drive away. We took a chance and went there. They had a few tables so guests could dine in. As the menu is quite small, we made an effort to try everything. THEFOOD! Juicy meat buns(beef) — Let me explain this experience to you: think of a hockey puck. Now imagine the hockey puck with incredibly juicy beef/onion guts and a warm bun exterior. Now recognize that hockey pucks are not edible and I was actually eating a yummy meat bun. Nonsensical metaphors aside, I liked these meat buns! They feel like a steal for two bucks. Chicken Noodle dish — Excellent! Their noodle dishes are five-star worthy. Juicy chicken, really skinny noodles with perfectly cooked veggies, a solid amount of sauce, nice portion size. I kinda want to tell them to rename their joint to the noodle house, cause the noodles were the star of tonight’s gluttonous feast. Dumplings — I deferred to my friends on this one since I’ve never been huge into dumplings. One friend said the ingredients tasted fresh, the other said he wasn’t crazy about them. They both agreed that the price was super reasonable. One friend ordered twelve total dumplings and ended up plenty full at six … $ 4 to feel plenty full is a good deal. Chicken with cabbage/onion spring roll — This was good and nicely presented! The roll was skinny and I didn’t feel like there was quite enough chicken, but overall it was tasty and I’d likely order it again. Chicken Ginger Soup — This was served with rice. I had to toss in sriracha and soy and that liven it up, cause it was, well, boring. I’d say the chef should do something unique with this dish. Change the flavor profile and make it dessert-y. Decrease the amount of broth and increase the ingredient-density. Throw a goldfish in it. Anything! Service: It was awesome. The restaurant owners are a couple and they are super friendly and pleasant. They catered to my boyfriend’s amusingly specific requests(«I want two steamed chicken dumplings, two fried chicken dumplings, three steamed pork dumplings and three fried chicken dumplings … and can you serve them all together to me so eating them will be a surprise!»). Pretty pleased with this place — the prices, the service and the sexy noodle dishes. I’m rooting for them.

Small menu but she is only letting the best go on it! I had the boiled and pan fried chicken and pork dumplings. One word for them AMAZING! The owner is a wonderful woman very passionate about her food, and you can taste her energy and hard work! B

They only have a few menu items, but they do them well. The dumplings come two ways — pork or chicken and can be ordered fried or steamed. They also have steamed buns and two types of spring rolls. Tried both types of dumplings fried and they didn’t disappoint — good flavor and chew. The service was friendly and they aim to please. Takeout is the way to go with this place and I would suggest calling at this point as they’re still getting the online ordering piece together.

Only a few things on the menu. We tried only dumplings, which I love. Buffalo is getting more dumplings by the month. Jolie’s lead the way, but there have been lots o new places in the past few months. Eddies Chophouse in university heights, Taste Good in Kenmore and now this place in Tonawanda. I’m glad they are in different places so I can stop in when in the area. This is not a place you will come to sit, not for long anyway. They are targeting the takeout market. But there are a few tables and you can sit. They do lots of phone ordering an are set up for online as well, through their website. I found prices reasonable. You’ll be asked if you want dumplings boiled or fried. We went with fried. I could see getting some frozen from here and cooking at home. The website has directions. While I’m partial to Jolie’s these were a very nice treat on a day I needed to be in the area anyway. Thanks to the BN I learned of this place. I would not have found it on my own.
