Any taiko drummer worth their salt would know about Asano Taiko’s brand new store in Torrance which had its grand opening in July 2013.
This small but amazing store makes Asano Taiko products more accessible to taiko groups in the continental U.S., especially those in southern CA. You can get pretty much all the taiko essentials: bachi, tabi, fabric, bachi bags, and of course beautiful, beautiful DRUMS! This store is pretty much Disneyland for taiko drummers.
The products are not cheap but they are worth every dollar.
In addition, the Asano Taiko store is also home to the Los Angeles Taiko Institute (LATI), the first official taiko school in the region. The faculty consist of wonderful, seasoned taiko drummers and they offer regular courses as well as special workshops that you can check out at
