Came to Michaels for art supplies but came alittle too early… was hungry a bit so I stepped in to try some food. I ordered the Loco Moco with coffee. The coffee is nice and smooth and I’m very picky about my coffee. The Loco Moco I have to say is the best I’ve had in a long time. I’ve tried this dish many of places and it’s been a no hit, you would think I simple dish is easy but not many can get it right. I’m very impressed so I will be back with my kids. Besides the great experience the warm homey welcome was awesome. Thanks for a great experience.

Terrible service! If you want true Hawaiian go across the street to TnT Aloha Café. We came here cause TnT was closed. First and last time here. Owner saw us waiting to be served and did nothing!

The is place reminds me of being a youth and hanging out in Hermosa Beach. Nothing has really changed w the flavor and quality. The only thing that has changed is the location. Check this place out if you are a veteran to Beach Hut or check it if you are a newbie. Ono grinds ahead.

This place is great! Got a kids chicken bowl. Love that the sauce came on the side. I don’t like it when stuff is drenched in sauce. Rice is perfectly sticky. The bread is awesome. Toasted, buttery. Yum. Great eggroll in a thick wanton wrap. Moist peanut butter chocolate cookie.

I have been going to this place for years, back when they were in Hermosa. I always get the Loco Moco, which is a hamburger patty over rice with a couple eggs and gravy on top. Comes with a slice of yummy King’s Hawaiian bread. Overall very solid. Friendly staff.

Not sure all the 4 stars reviews are all about. This place Is like Denny’s of Hawaiian. I ordered Ck Teri, super sweet. Macaroni salad has Teriyaki sauce in it, so weird. On the menu, Portuguese sausage was supposed to be spicy, but no spice and super plain. House salad only lettuce and half tomato with some kind of sweet dressing too. I think they got the wrong idea of what Hawaiian food is all about, like 100 percent teriyaki sauce. I was embarrassed to send all the food back and the mistake they made so I just ate all without complaining. Not bz at all for lunch time, but took 35 min just to take out plain lettuce salad and macaroni. There is more, but I think I said enough. Only thing good is the sweet bread and Tabasco to save my meal. It has to make major improvement for me to come back there again.

I love this place. It’s situated in a weird plaza next to michaels and the Salvation Army(both of which I frequent), but an odd place. Anyway, the woman who takes care of me always remembers me and knows what I want. Small town equals great service! I always order grilled chicken and a side of broccoli. Boring I know, but it’s what I want. They do it right EVERY time!!! I pay very little for this and absolutely love it. My boyfriend has ordered more traditional Hawaiian food and he loves it. It’s not overpriced, it’s delicious and the service is fantastic.

Just found this place by accident after going to Bebe Nails(see my review). A relaxed place with a surf theme and easy going friendly people serving good food. I had a breakfast burrito — very good. Their burgers also looked good. I think with Orchard gone from this location they aren’t getting as much foot traffic but I will be back.

I used to go to the Manhattan Beach location many years ago and was really disappointed when it closed. When I found that it still existed, I had to check it out to see if it would live up to my memories. It did! I ordered my favorite, the Shogun, and it tasted just as I remembered. I have been there several times since and it is awesome! Scrambled eggs, teriyaki chicken, white rice, and Hawaiian Sweet Bread. So good!

This IS the same place as you grew up with in Hermosa Beach! The new owner, she learned from that brother who kept debating to retire! So, the vibe is not the same, not being on the main street of Hermosa BUT, you can still get all your favorites! Like for me, the #8 Royal Hawaiian… I think she doesn’t offer all those optional sauces they used to offer as I really only care about the Teriyaki. AND when you crave yourself a Hawaiian Breakfast this hits the spot so well!(and yes I’ve tried the Hawaiian Bread place and… it’s just not the same. I can’t get these dishes over there, so I do think this is way better) and it’s close to the beach-if you were to hit it after surfing. The new place is in a strip mall but at least exists with all the same favorites. The new place will break in, I love bringing my kids here and its’ chill. Coffee is good and those Hawaiian juices in the can that my little bro loves. There’s a TV here too. Though the vibe of that old place is gone… I see a lot of new people or people from the former… supporting her too. I appreciate this owner rescuing what was my favorite brekkie spot! AND a lot of friends don’t even realize they can still enjoy it! So great to tell friends that they can still have this meal! The memories will live on and I can continue to enjoy this taste without flying to Hawaii!

After three separate visits to the Beach Hut, I can safely conclude that this place aims well with satisfying breakfast dishes at really good prices. Sounds like a sales pitch but seriously, what you eat, how much you get to eat, and what you are paying for, is a steal. The breakfast burrito for example, was easily able to save half the burrito for another day. The loco moco, a MUST, especially when brown rice substitution is at no extra charge. Yes! The different breakfast meats including the sausages and patties PLUS the hawaiian bread on some dishes, very filling. The service is nothing to be excited about, depending on who’s working, but nothing to complain about. You still get the food and they’re all very knowledgable about what they are serving you. Trust me, some places have servers that don’t have the greatest expertise on what they are serving you. Overall, The Beach Hut is a petite environment with a cozy atmosphere, friendly service, great prices, and comforting food. Will I go back? Most definitely.

Not sure how this place got 4 stars. I got the plate lunch with chicken and beef teriyaki which was rubbery and fatty, chow fun that had NO flavor, green salad that had a weird Italian sesame flavor and rice. I was super disappointed in my meal and ate a ¼ and was done. Staff is nice and maybe that is why they have 4 stars but if you want real Hawaiian style food I would go to Bobs or Gardena Bowl.

Who doesn’t love Hawaii and the yummy FOODOFFERINGS? Well if you are missing taste from home or vacay then this is your place. Now I was told that a traditional Hawaiian bfast is called Loco Moco, Hawaiian comfort food for breakfast or anytime really! This bfast is a good way to use leftover rice or hamburgers. When it’s time for the Loco Moco, it’s quick and easy to heat the leftovers, fry the egg and heat the gravy, then assemble. You can vary the ingredients to satisfy your own taste. Loco Moco was developed in the late 1940’s by a restaurant owner where for some surfers wanted a high protein meal that would sustain them while surfing thus the Loco Moco was born. I don’t know if that is true and I’m NOT a surfer but who really cares where this folklore started. I stopped in here because the mom-n-ator had an early doctor’s appointment and we were running late because of traffic making the stop for a donut and coffee a task that didn’t happen. I was tired and after her appointment we had some time to kill so why not enjoy a good bfast? I of course found this place on my nifty Unilocal app while I was playing the waiting game and watching Good Morning America at the doctor’s office. I knew we would have some time after the appt to sit and eat so I figured something close would be prefect and this place was about 5 minutes away. When we arrived no one was there. This place is located in a large strip mall so parking is plentiful. We were greeted as soon as our feet hit the threshold with a ‘GOODMORNING” and a WARMSMILE. The server came right over with menus and asked if we would like something to drink so we both got coffee. I REALLYNEEDED it since I could still here my pillow and blankey calling my name. We perused the menu and I quickly noticed that most if not all breakfasts consisted of rice, Portuguese sweet bread(Hawaiian bread for you mainlander’s), which is how I learned about the Hawaiian bfast. The mom-n-ator has some specific dietary needs these days but they were SUPERACCMADATING for her and substituted the things she could NOT have with things she could have! SOGREAT! She ended up ordering ham and eggs with two scoops of rice and Portuguese sweet bread and an apple juice. I ordered a Spanish omelet made with egg whites and diced green chili, salsa on the side, no cheese, and a flour tortilla and 2 scoops of rice. As we waited for our food a couple regulars came in and were greeted and got helped themselves to the coffee behind the counter. One lady just had coffee and did her crossword puzzle and the gentlemen ordered bfast. I LOVE when places LEARN their regular customers and call them by name or ALREADYKNOW what they want for bfast. Moments later our plates came out NICE and HOT! Each order came with a side of teriyaki sauce for the two scoops of rice. I think it is like the gravy in the Loco Moco meal but I’m not sure. I’m used to eating rice for breakfast since the parentals would use left over rice and cook eggs sometimes when I was a kid. So it wasn’t too strange for me. EVERYTHING was REALLYGOOD! The RICE was NICE and FLUFFY and NOT crunchy and the teriyaki sauce was a NICE touch. Different for bfast but still GOOD! I didn’t eat the tortilla because it was a little TOOMUCH starch for me. The coffee was HOT and FRESH! PREFECT! The mom-n-ator ENJOYED her bfast as well. She even had some leftovers. I’m pretty sure I’ll go back but next time I want to try lunch.

Wow. Words cannot describe how delicious the beach hut is. Their burger is to die for along with everything else on the menu. I only wish I could live right next door to eat here every day. Angie is so cute and friendly!!! Such a great, chill place to eat some delicious food!!!

A hidden gem. I’ve been going here for years, but had a special experience yesterday. My son was having the pancakes and accidentally dropped them on the floor, shattering the plate. Before I could even react, our waitress asked the cook to start making another batch of pancakes. She then came out and comforted my son, who was pretty upset. It was a wonderful experience. As far as the food – it’s great, but, personally, I’ve never ordered anything other than the Shogun because it’s so good!

I love this place! I usually get the Yobo or the Shogun number 16 and 17. Teriyaki chicken with two eggs and two big scoops of rice and sauce with sweet bread and a wonton. The cook is the same guy from beach hut when it was in Manhattan Beach. Excellent dude! My favorite waitress is this short little Mexican lady that is always really nice to everybody. Either way the food is excellent, the coffee is good and once in awhile we get shaved ice! My daughter loves the shaved ice! This is a family run business and the extra attention is very apparent. Hope to see you there!
