I popped into Aveda after reading some good reviews about a patchouli oil I just had to have. What a calming, wonderful experience the consultants provided! I was immediately greeted, guided to the patchouli oil, shown some more oils, and led to the register… but wait! I was offered hot tea and a stress relieving mini massage! I love it here! This place is like a calming painting of goddesses that will help you find product! My consultant also gave me a sample of skin care before leaving! So so nice! Yay Aveda! I’ll be back!

This last trip to the mall was specially planned for a couple errands including picking up some Aveda items. I was going to stock up on my normal firmata firm hold hair spray but after talking to Michelle for just a few minutes totally opened my eyes to what using the right products can do for our hair. She made me look like I walked out of a salon in two snaps. Using the LIGHT ELEMENTS TEXTURIZING CREME, she rubbed a tiny amount in her palms and used her hands to give me texture and definition by twirling small amounts of hair. Then she sprayed it using the aerosol CONTROLFORCE hairspray. It’s fine and doesn’t feel wet at all (if it does you are holding the can too close and need to use bursts of spray).
She offered a mini shoulder massage using the lavender oil and I felt rejuvenated and totally refreshed especially after the sample of hot tea. What a pick me up during the middle of the shopping day.
Michelle sent me off with some samples they were offering at the time and some tips on local events in the area. What an experience! Best Aveda trip ever!

Last weekend my sister and I were cruising through Towson Mall and hit up the Aveda store to get some hair and skin care products. I’ve long been a fan of Aveda for their natural ingredients, zen-​like ambiance, and yogi appeal — so it was no surprise to be greeted with the standard wafting fragrances of natural herbs and the Ayurvedic like atmosphere at the storefront.
One of the consultants, Michelle, was quick to offer us their signature hot herbal tea, and we sipped it slowly while browsing down the shelves, sniffing each bottle and jar and testing each oil, moisturizer and hair care product.
Eventually, after trying to select a hair care product, I realized I needed a professional opinion as I have very thick, unruly Okinawan hair which is full of body and a personality of it’s own. I was looking for a product with serious lasting control, shine, and texturizing properties and Michelle was right there to offer her sage advice. After personal hair consultations, and awesome neck massages with the lavender oil, we selected the light elements™ shaping wax for me and the light elements™ texturizing crème for my sister who needs slightly less control.
Michelle also steered me to the tourmaline skincare line for serious moisture and protection through the winter months. This was highly appreciated as I was about to select the botanical kinetics line which probably was not quite as effective for my skin type and lifestyle needs.
We walked out of Aveda feeling well-​cared for and upheld in the truest yogi spirit. Mahalo Michelle for your outstanding customer-​service, product knowledge, and radiant spirit!
