I’ve always liked Dickies BBQ but, this one in Tracy on Naglee Rd. has to be my worst experience. The dinner rolls were like bricks, the brisket was chewy and full of fat, the lemonade was water. My daughter bit into the dinner roll and lost a bracket off her braces. I’d drive to the one Morgan Hill before eating at this one again. Very disappointing.

$ 8 + for a Cesar Chicken Salad. All it has is: chicken, croutons, cheese, Cesar dressing, and LETTUCE. The ingredients are fine and it tastes great. But they skimp out on the lettuce. I know because there salad(full of LETTUCE) used to packed. I used to get more for my money. Love the salad but for what you get, its not worth it anymore. I’ll start going to Costco for there $ 4 salad and they give more!

Came in for lunch yesterday with a group of 4. Service was a little slow as they only had two people working during the lunch rush. My experience with Dickey’s is that they are always understaffed. Despite this, we all made it out with just a little rushing to eat. The only other downside was that the seating area is a bit small but they do have a little extra seating outside which is nice. All the food was yummy. I had the Smokehouse Salad. It had just the right amount of everything and has to be one of the most delicious salad’s I have had. And of course we all loved the soft serve. I would definitely recommend this Dickey’s…but maybe not on your lunch break if you are on a tight schedule.

I have been here a few times to get a BBQ fix. No real complaints. I typically order a ribs and pulled pork combo and it comes with two sides. I usually get the baked potato casserole and the macaroni and cheese. The ribs are super tender and fall right off of the bone. Customer service has always been good. Their sauce bar and ice cream station are clean. I generally spend about 40 bucks for two people. They also have daily specials and kids eat free on Sundays.

Hubby loved this place because he’s a meat man. However, me… not so much. In my opinion, meat was too salty. I had the beef brisket salad and hubby had some beef brisket meal. Free Ice Cream place was clean and fast service. Employees very sweet.

I give a one star because i know what dickeys has been for me at other places. Not as a comparison against other restaurants. Places like this one make me wonder how they operate their franchises and how they enforce their quality standards. Service was okay, but the woman making the sides and taking the money was kind of snotty. Food was decent but cold and dry, like it was old or overcooked. Okra was great but i had to ask for ranch with it which is something that just came with the okra at the dickeys i normally frequent. Bread was dry, stiff and cold and they have no butter to spread on it which the one by my house does. Food wasn’t terrible but far from what ive come to expect from the chain. Came in to sample some items for the wedding we plan to have catered by dickeys. Will be using dickeys, but not using this branch.

I always like to judge for myself so tried this location after several friends gave negative feedback! They were on mark! The portion of meat in the Baker was skimpy. And the service was far from welcoming. While the cashier prepped our food she engaged in a phone conversation the entire time with another location resulting in her forgetting to put some of the ingredients needed into the fryer resulting in two of our 3 entrees sitting on the counter waiting for the fryer. Although she wore gloves, the entire time she talked on the phone she handled the mouth piece exposing her gloved hand to any germs around her mouth and then touched our food. I will not be eating here again.

Love the place, atmosphere, staff and of course the food. I would definitely be back and have their delicious, Smoky Fall off the bone ribs. A big plus is that the owners are really nice people, very involved and care about providing great customer service. Thank you guys for a great barbecue experience! We’ll be back.

Reviewing food my brother bought back from Dickey’s for lunch: It sucked. We had the brisket sandwich. I think the cheese hadn’t melted by the time we had gotten back to the shop. It was dry and tasteless. He also mentioned that when he got there the person behind the counter greeted him and my brother said, «It was his first time here, if he could recommend something,» the guy holding a knife just pointed up to the menu and told him its all up there.

I really enjoyed the food. I had the 2 meat plate with ribs, chicken, baked potato casserole and mac n cheese. Delish! Plus they threw in a brisket sample! The people behind the counter were extremely nice, very helpful and we will definitely be coming back. Btw, the big yellow cups are awesome. You can take them home and keep reusing them! Lol

Went to this location to get lunch to go. I asked for two small containers for ice cream, and I was told they don’t do that for to go orders. Ok, seeing how the location in Manteca gave them to us with out even asking. Just thought it was rude, since it costed $ 23 for two meals. Get home and start eating only to find plastic in my mac and cheese. Thanks for the plastic! Really preferred that over ice cream!

I ate at the one by Home Depot and I spent $ 18 on a plate that appeared to be a child’s plate. Taste is good but hook it up.

Had a really great lunch at Dickey’s as our experience was quite opposite from some of the others. We were in the area at Home Depot and seen Dickey’s so figured we would give it a try as I’ve been to one before and thought it was fine. The place was fairly packed and the employees seem to have everything under good control. I ordered the rib plate with the green beans and casserole potatoes and my mom ordered the brisket and chicken. Our food was served hot and quite flavorful where we ended up buying some additional plates to go to take home for my Dad and husband. The meats were fairly juicy, not dry at all. I’m surprised to read some of the other comments as I would definitely go here again. What I also really liked about the restaurant is one of the owners came around and asked how everyone was doing. You rarely see that anymore so it’s good that they focus on customer service as it’s a great opportunity to fix any issues/complaints. They seem to be doing a great job.

New barbecue place in Tracy, so I decided to give it a try. Overall thought — not worth it. For the 4 of us our bill was over $ 50. My sister & I shared the rib plate, then my mom and brother ordered their own. Way overpriced for the quality and quantity of food we received. The rib plate included about 4 or 5 ribs and two sides. My sister and I got the potato salad and fried okra. You can see over the counter while ordering and can tell that everything they give you is not even close to fresh. The potato salad was bland and definitely prepackaged. It’d say buying potato salad at the grocery store is better than theirs. Our fried okra was just okay. And for the main part of our meal, the ribs, THEYWERECOLD. Like they couldn’t even reheat it all the way through for us or something? They weren’t even warm. The meat was tough and just not good at all. My mom got the pulled pork and it was so dry and extremely salty. She also ordered the fried onion tanglers which were probably the only thing that was decent. We asked the workers to refill the iced tea and saw one of the girls come out and mix the powder in with the water and place the container under the tea machine thing pretending like it was freshly brewed. Also, the dining area is extremely dark and not appealing at all. The place was empty and now i understand why. This place was so disappointing. I’d rather go to Texas Roadhouse or Famous Dave’s if I want actual barbecue and not cold reheated meat. The only positive thing we found about the place was that they give free ice cream.

First time here and it was really good. Quick service and plenty to choose from. You can tell the people who work there don’t hVe much experience with customer service but hey they’re new so I’ll give them some slack. It can get pretty pricey especially because you have to order things separately unless you get a daily special. I got a brisket sandwich BBQ beans and the Mac and cheese. All very good. I’ll mKe sure to be back

Ribs are delicious! Tangy and smokey flavor. The pulled pork sandwich is great too. Sides are awesome. I suggest the baked potato casserole. The restaurant is new, clean and everyone has a great attitude. Definitely will be a regular here.

Surrounded by all the hype on the radio, my wife and I decided to try it out since it was their soft opening/grand opening. I decided on the 3 meat plate and my wife ordered the 1 item plate. I ordered the beef brisket, BBQ honey ham, and chicken breast. I don’t know why they chopped up the brisket but for my wife’s plate the amount of food looked really small for the price. My 3 meat on the other had was fairly adequate in food portions and price. The potato salad was a bit runny and just not up to par. Store bought potato salad in my opinion tastes better. I liked the green beans and bacon side — very tasty. The meats on the other hand while smokey was very bland. The beef and chicken were at best luke warm to cold. The only meat that was nice and warm was the ham, because it just came out of the oven when we ordered it. I’m glad I got extra bbq sauce because otherwise the meat would of been very unappetizing to eat. My bread roll was like chewy to the point of it being not fully baked. I didn’t get the 2 onions rings. It’s not like I was going to eat these 2 raw onion rings. I gave them 2 stars for the cold and bland meat. Their service is great but I just feel like they need to work out the issues and adjust from the criticism they will eventually take. I will be back though to try the ribs.
