Been going here forever, so good. They’re burritos are absolutely amazing. One of my favorite places in Tracy, I highly suggest the El Pastor!

Best Tacos in the extended Bay Area of course I can say that only about chicken tacos that we had 2 weeks in a row. Most affordable too if you are not looking for a fancy food place but just great authentic tacos and burritos.

While it ain’t that thrilled with the food from the Brentwood location, my friend bought me some shrimp tacos with avocado from this place & the food was a lot better!
The shrimp weren’t over cooked, avocado was super fresh, the jalapeños & carrots were massive! The food just tasted better from this location!
Service was great, and the food came out fast!

I love this place! The food is always fresh and simple but delicious I prescient the no-​frills straightforward fresh hot and tasty home cooking. i’ve eaten her several times and never been disappointed I eat the shrimp cocktail on a weekly basis best eight bucks I’ve ever spent it is so fresh the shrimps are juicy it’s a great deal on something light and healthy and did I mention that the shrimp was delicious.

Yummy, authentic, well priced food. All seating is outdoors. Can’t go wrong with a good meal here!

Fast, cheap, delicious! Love everything I get from here

This spot does seafood incredibly well. I ordered the campeche cocktail and a shrimp ceviche tostada. The service here is ludicrously fast! I ordered my food and before my butt touched the chair at my table they called out that my order was ready! The cocktail was chock-​full of seafood, every spoonfull was heaping with the most succulent shrimp, oyster, squid, octopus, and crab. They serve it to you in a Styrofoam cup, the broth is super flavorful on its own but they do have ketchup and Tapatío on each table so you can control the amount of condiments that go into your cocktail. The tostada was well awsome too, tons of shrimp. I’m definitely coming back here when I’m craving fresh and delicious seafood.

THE LOWDOWN:
GOOD, CHEAP, DELICIOUS, FLAVORFUL MEXICAN FOOD! And they are FAST! What’s not to like?
FOOD: If you want to FEEL LIKE A BALLER, GET THE SHRIMP BURRITO! It’s so delicious!
FOR KIDS — The BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITO. It’s a big size and very filling for them. About $ 3
We also like the CARNE ASADA TACOS! The meat is marinated and is yummy. Chicken tacos are pretty good, too, though I prefer the steak.
ASK FOR MORE LIMES and SALSA! Also, grab one of the BIG BOTTLES OF TAPATIO SAUCE on the tables, pour as you wish, and enjoy!
TO-​GO SERVICE: We frequented the Brentwood location quite often and we have been here several times at the Tracy location, too. Service was fast, quick and friendly. «What can I get for you, buddy?»
COST: We ordered dinner to go — 6 tacos to share and a bean and cheese burrito, which cost about $ 10.55.
RESULT: Check this place out and make your mouth and tummy happy. We will be back here again.

La Costa, is that go to spot where you always know that’s its going to be good. Great prices and fresh food. I with they had one in the east bay because we need one out here! I’m sure that a place like La Costa would do amazing on this side of the Altamont and basically wouldn’t have any competition due to the fact that they actually season the food and the salsa doesn’t taste like the skin off of a wax pepper drenched an oil. La Costa, thank you for using salt and pepper in your food.

The shrimp burritos here are killer and you can’t go wrong with asada either. This small take out /​eat in corner Mexican restaurant has just about everything you could ever want and then some.
Eating outside is fun when there isn’t a lot of traffic billowing exhaust fumes in your face. Other than that LA Costa is a great place for Mexican food in Tracy

I am going to give this joint three stars. Though the price is good the food was just ok. I prefer the location off of grant line. My issue, after ordering three tacos and a carne asada burrito, I found melted plastic in one of my carnitas tacos. Unacceptable. Too lazy to go back I just tossed that taco out and checked the other food items (which were ok). This is my second attempt to this locations. The first time, the wait was far to long so I left. The second time (this time) I found shizz in my taco. No Bueno. There are too many other taquerias to deal with the negatives here. I’mma pass!

I didn’t think the food at this place was going to be that great just looking at the old-​fashioned style of the place, but man oh man was I wrong. It was so delicious and satisfying for the price you pay. We came here after my Uncle passed away because this was his favorite Mexican spot in Tracy and he definitely had good taste because the food was great and made to meet your needs. We ordered a lot of food and they prepared all of it within 15 minutes. An added bonus is that they are so reasonably priced and the amount of food you get is perfect!
I would recommend adding some more spice or flavor to your meal if you’d like to add more of a kick as well as guac and salsa!

Favorite. Love the food but hate how long it takes for to-​go orders to be ready. It they say 15 minutes plan on it being 30.
I’ll wait though… nom nom nom.

This is the best mexican food you can get in Tracy.

I only tried the tacos and fell in love! Great price, great taste and fast service. I was driving up to Yosemite from San Francisco and found this place on Unilocal.Enjoyed the tacos and loved them so much I made sure I visited La Costa on my way back to San Francisco!!!

This little taco stand is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat around town.
I have only been here 3 times now but have absolutely loved it everytime.
The first time I came I got the Asada burrito and was blown away by how good it was. It’s a big burrito to so you won’t go hungry.
OH AND HERE’S WHAT IMPRESSED ME THE MOST ABOUT THIS PLACE. I ordered my burrito on my first visit and handed the very nice guy my card to pay, to wich he replied I’m sorry sir it’s CASH only as he pointed to the large super obvious sign clearly stating this. We’ll I didn’t have any cash (I’m married) on me so I told the man I’d run to the bank
He said don’t worry about it, just pay for it next time. In this day in age he trusted me to come back and pay based on the honor system. This impressed me.
So on my second trip I paid for my first burrito and ordered the carnitas burrito. I think it’s the best one.
Third trip I stuck with carnitas.
Seating is outside but it’s covered. If it’s hot outside I’d probably get it to go. The staff is super friendly, and they have a large menu.
It’s located across from the high school so if you don’t time it right you could end up in a huge line. Try to come before school is out and when they aren’t on lunch break.
I highly recommend this place. They only places I like better were down in Colima Mexico during my vacation.

This place is really good. Best taqueria in the area.
I love the carne asada burrito with whole beans.
Also the carne asada tacos are exquisite. If you like salsa you have to ask for it when you receive your order or else you will not get it. Also ask for any other condiments you prefer like jalapeños and they will give them to you on the side.

This place is legit as hell. My husband from San Diego said «this is the best thing I’ve tried in Northern California». Super yummy! Pineapple in the pork burrito– who knew? My riceless chicken burrito was divine. It was packed during lunch but they serve quickly. Clean restrooms.

I’ve been here before but this was my first time ordering something other then thee carne asada tacos. I tried a steak quesadilla && it was soooo good. Kind of like an oversize taco with all the trimmings. You can’t beat their prices either !
There lines are always pretty long but they move quickly. Fast and friendly service

Great traditional Mexican fast food!
Most people come here for their burritos but I’ve always loved their Quesadillas! They come with cheese, meat, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. It’s big, it’s messy, it’s delicious. My favorite is the Carnitas Quesadilla.
They have a decent selection here including Burritos, Quesadillas, Tacos, Tostadas & Tortas and various seafood items. Everything is sold a la carte. The prices have gone up over the years, but the food is still reasonably priced for what you get.
All the food is good here but based on some bad reviews I’ve seen, I think some people come here with the wrong expectations. La Costa is currently one of the top rated Unilocal food spots in Tracy and they deserve all the great ratings but I think people expect a sit down restaurant or a Taqueria. La Costa is more street food style — you order at a small window and the majority of the seating is outdoor. Come here with the right expectations and you will not be disappointed! Enjoy it for what it is!
