This place definitely reminds me of home. I was born and raised in Miami Florida and parents from Guatemala. This place is the real deal and most importantly family owned. Yes the pupusas take awhile to make and they should because it’s made to order and very fresh. Hands down the best pupusas in town. Will definitely come back.

Had a grilled chicken plate with rice and whole beans with corn tortillas. I came in close to closing and they were kind enough to let me eat in which I really appreciated. The server which I also think is a family member of the owner was gracious and helpful, and didn’t rush me at all. The chicken was flavorful and the beans were tender and tasty without being too salty. Even the tortillas tasted fresh(don’t think they are homemade but they were soft). I tried the spicy salsa and it definitely was spicy — try at your own risk but definitely try if you enjoy spicy! The guacamole was fresh and delish. They specialize in papusas but I didn’t try this time. I will come back and try them soon.

Had never had a pupusa before so I’ve no basis for comparison but I thought it was good. Cook time was longer than I was expecting but not unreasonable(got it to go, so no comment on other service). Was kind of odd that the salsa came in a tied off baggie rather than a cup, but I guess thats ok.

Man, this is one of the hardest reviews I have to write. This place was not busy when we went it, but they are tremendously understaffed. There was one table already sitting when we entered and while we wanted to order to go, the family that came in behind us were seated and helped first which wasn’t a big deal just a little upsetting. After about 15 minutes the poor guy running around trying to help everyone came over to us and asked us what we wanted to order. I ordered the super burrito asada with all the fixings. The guy who helped us, I forget his name was very kind. He apologized many times and was very sincere and genuine offering recommendations and helping us decide. I am not a fan of rice or faux guacamole in my food so I opted out of both, but he explained to us how his dad makes the guacamole fresh and the rice isn’t like everywhere else. So I said okay and opted for both rice and guacamole. I was so excited to try it. When I took a bite, it was tremendously spicy so I immediately loved it. The downside is as I took another bite, the rest of the burrito was a huge soupy mess. The ingriedients weren’t meshing well and the guacamole was the only thing I could attribute to the soupy-ness of the burrito. Overall, I was underwhelmed. There wasn’t enough meat, rice was the main attraction, and the whole thing was a mess. The reason I will come back and try it again is because this place is a mom and pop shop. There will be some growing pains and hopefully they will read these reviews and make those improvements so next time when I go in I can give a better updated review. If you are on the fence of trying them, please do. The pricing is fair and the food can only get better from this point.

We ordered a super burrito and 2 pupusas… The burrito was ¾ filled of rice, again the $ 6.50 super burrito was ¾ filled of rice… so much for paying the extra. The pupusas were ok but I will go back to ordering from the other place in town that sells them.

Awesome service! ATM machine accidentally charged me twice on my last visit here. The owner went above and beyond to make it up. Even gave me some stuff to go for the inconvenience. Food is amazing to go along with the exceptional service. Great authentic El Salvadorian food!

Another happy customer! The food is delicious, served hot and fresh and the service is excellent. We drove from Patterson and it was worth the drive. We’ll definitely be returning.

Man oh man am I satisfied right now. This restaurant has so many choices! The owner and his son(I think) were all very friendly and helpful. I got a super burrito with the best al pastor I have ever had. Ever. This was the best $ 8 I have ever spent for a burrito, chips & salsa, and a homemade horchata. The burrito had everything including guacamole. Yum yum yum! Did I mention that the horchata was homemade? It was so creamy and delicious!

Ive been eating here three times a week since they first opened a while ago right next to my house. I have tried most of the menu and I’ve got to say everything is always consistently really good!

Amazing service! I’ve only had the papusas, but there is a variety of different choices. The Cola Champan, the Salvadorian soda, was tasty. I’ll be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

I couldn’t even write a review the night we went here because I was so stuffed! This place is amazingly good! I saw it driving down 11th and thought«mmm pupusas!!» So on our next date night we went straight here! The building is really cool, it’s two story and open, a really cool feel to it. We were immediately greeted by .crap I forget his name! A guy lol, he told us about the menu and explained we could pupusas anyway we’d like. They are super new and just getting the feel for what works and what doesn’t, so if it’s not on the menu, we could just ask. We got 4 pupusas. They were so freaking good! I had had them 1 time before in Berkeley but these were glorious! They hand make them right there! They told us about themselves, super sweet family run place! I am a sucker for chips and salsa. They brought a few different to see which ones were most popular. I usually like the brownish salsas but this time I loved the green salsa, red and brown. I am not a fan of spicy and they had a really spicy one my husband was devouring! Can’t wait to come back with the kids! Great family places and great prices… amazing food :)

Food was great, Large portions for a great price. I had the Camarones Rancheros, didnt get a picture but the dish looked as if it came out of a five star kitchen and tasted just as good would definitely recommend this place to others.
