I’ve been going to Jude’s for over a year now and have always had a good experience. In the beginning, the appointment system was a little off because you could only arrange things for same day. Now, they take appointments well in advance and the system works. I like to have Bea(bee-uh), the manager take care of me. She’s fast, accurate and skillful. I’m in and out in less than a half hour and that’s with the deluxe treatment — hot towel, shampoo, shoulder massage. It’s a true barber shop.

Have been turned away multiple times when staff says they are booked, but there is no one else in the store. Other Jude’s I have been to are much more accommodating to walk ins and give a better cut.

Another awesome Judes experience yesterday with Kari. In fact, all the staff greeted me as I walked through the door. As always, I would not go anywhere else. Please use the on line booking to ensure your spot as they are always busy from open to close with good reason!

Worst haircut ever! I asked Heidi for a light trim and ended up with a sort of crew cut. It looks awful! I haven’t had a haircut this bad and hair so short since I was in the military, will not go back!

Had a bad experience. When in Traverse City earlier this week on business and having just a little spare time, I did a walk in to see if I could get a cut. I was told it would be about ten minutes and who would be cutting my hair, so I waited. Well, the person I was told would be taking care of me took someone ahead of me whose cutter had told him she was ”behind.” No explanation to me. I waited some more and after a wait of about 35 minutes I was running out of time and I had to leave. I let the woman who signed me in know I was leaving, but received no apology for taking so long. I should have called ahead, I suppose, but it would have been nice of them to explain why I wasn’t taken care of in 10 minutes and when I could expect to get a haircut. Poor communication and not much respect for my time.

Thought I would try giving this place a try. Said it would be am hour wait then they immediately took the next guy that walked in and I heard him say he did not have an appointment, I am out of here. Got a nice response from the owner apologizing for the performance of her employees actions. Nice of her to take the time and respond, looks like I might give them a another chance next time in TC.

This place is fantastic. It felt like I was back in NYC except that the price was half what I normally pay there. I called in and was able to get an appointment with no hassle at all. The staff was very friendly and exceptionally skilled. I’m very picky about how my hair is cut and they did a masterful job of it. I was also thrilled to learn that they do straight razor shaves but didn’t have time during this visit to get one myself.
