Authentic, delicious, and super satisfying. Salsas were nice and spicy. Steamed beef tacos, beans and rice– HIT. THE. SPOT!

Right place for taco and burrito. I have tried steak burritos it is quite good as I expected. Try to find out deals for a busy lunch and add a real Mexican style soda!

Just stopped at their new location off of grandview parkway and had a fabulous experience! The new location is an actual restaurant verses a takeout place. I got the steak tacos and they were the same great flavor and quality as they are at the silver lake location. This is by far my favorite restaurant in traverse city. The staff is so friendly and very knowledgable of their menu and products. I would 100% recommend this over any Mexican restaurant in traverse city, you will not be disappointed!

Chicken tacos are the best I’ve ever had. Fresh and savory and homemade and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the prices are more than reasonable. As another reviewer said, JUSTGO!

This is for the new one downtown Traverse! Wonderful goodness with a touch of authentic! Great service — hoping that soon the menu will be more like Silver Lake so we can mix and match

Service was excellent. Real Mexican sodas with cane sugar, no hfcs crap, real Mexican cheeses and authentic sauces. Real pieces of pork in the beans, nice salad. Great food.

We’ve enjoyed the food overall, having ordered a variety of items. They have minimal seating inside but we live close so choose to do take-out. They’re always super fast with food ready in about 15 minutes. The solid gold at this place is the TC Torta. This is coming from someone who has been known to enjoy an unhealthy amount of tortas around the Chicago area. While you can’t go wrong with any of the meat choices available, the TC torta combines steak, chorizo, pork, and ham between the most magical mixture of veg, beans, and condiments. It’s a quadruple meatfest for your mouth hole that is on point.

I love this place. I do not live in TC anymore, so this is my go to place whenever I visit. I have had tacos in various restaurants in the U.S., from the Southwest to Chicago, and also in Mexico. It is refreshing to have a place like this in Traverse City. The food is authentic, cheap, and fresh. The tacos always have great flavor. The last time I was there, I tried one of the sampler plates with flautas, a sope, and a tamal. It came with beans and rice. Everything on the plate was delicious. Unfortunately, they do not have a lot of seating for dine in orders, but I have always managed to be able sit when I have gone. The woman who takes the orders(I believe is the owner) is always very nice. I have never had a bad experience here.

I love this place. I have had several different kinds of tacos and liked them all. The salsa is great and I could eat a whole bowl full of the refried beans. Most of all, I like the people who work there. The nice lady behind the counter came out and told be about how the restaurant started and their relationship with the grocery store on South Airport. It is a true family enterprise and I completely buy into that. With places like this and Taco House, I will never again go to Taco Bell. What would be the point? I can’t wait to try the TTL out on Three Mile!

I’m a SoCal girl and know mexican food. This lacked on all accounts. Won’t be going back.

Had an excellent experience here. Love how casual and relaxed the vibe is; it’s all about the food. Very helpful, friendly employee helped me order(I was torn about what to order, so many things looked awesome). Food was fresh and tasty. My meal was less than $ 10! Will definitely go back the next time I’m in the area.

New owner? Last time we ordered it was terrible. The staff was definitely not the same. There was new signage and a white lady scrambling behind the counter to sort orders. After calling, I was told food would be ready in 20 minutes… so I arrived 20 minutes after calling. Stood inside for another 20 minutes watching the staff scramble(had I not already paid I would have been tempted to walk away). Onto the food — refried beans were pretty awful, and the enchiladas were bland and funky(in a bad way). NOTHING like the food they were putting out before. Overall, the service and food were a big letdown. We are disappointed since this place was our go-to spot near our home for carry-out. I’ll try again in a month or so and will update review. Hoping I just caught them on an off day!

Wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. Definitely was more authentic than other options in the area. The menu was a little chaotic. There is seating in the place, but there really wasn’t a waiter. Carry out and call ahead if there’s more than just one eating would be best. Food was good, just wouldn’t be my first or second choice.

The clerk behind the counter(Trish) was trying to clear tables and take orders from a packed restaurant at 6 pm — not doing very well. She gave us 1 entrée when we ordered 2 and rudely blamed the mistake on us. She was rude to other customers also. Not what we’ve come to expect from this fine establishment.

Wow. Try all of their salsas including the Salsa Macha. Holy hot. The corn shells were doubled and the cilantro instead of lettuce… winning. Fork out the extra for cheese and go with the shredded chx. You will not be disappointed. Yum.

Authentic and reasonable price. Enchiladas were great and the burrito was excellent. Great takeout place that is clean and has a friendly staff. Not much for a sit-down dinner spot but we will be back for takeout.

JUSTGO! Seriously…this is the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had since living in So Cal.(As someone who lived in Ventura County for 15 years… I feel safe saying this!) Good prices, tons of variety, authentic Mexican sodas, real coke, snacks… a little bit of everything! Do yourself a favor, go check it out!

Came to this place for early dinner, the lady on the counter was pretty friendly. This is more like a convenience store/take out restaurant with a couple chairs and tables. Food was good, the salsa was very good(both red and green). They used store bought chips though so that was a bit disappointing. We ordered menudo(weekend special), platter with 2 tacos and tamales and nachos. They were all good, but it felt a bit like we were not wanted when they started locking the door and putting the closed sign at 5:30, still 30 mins before they actually close. And I wish they would put prices on their drinks and some of the merchandise. All in all pretty good for TC.

Love this place. The owner Robi is very friendly and talkative(in either English or Spanish). My fav are the fish tacos. I’ll miss not having these when I go home to Ireland! Gracias para la comida tan rica!

BESTRESTAURANTINTC! No joke. There are places with lines, endorsements from celebrities chefs, foodies lined up, and downtown or lake view addresses, but none with better food or warmer service. I had 3 fish tacos(more than I could eat) and my husband had 3 tacos al pastor. We also got some tamales to take home. We were so impressed with the authenticity, cleanliness, and friendliness. Oh, and the salsas are out of this world! Dining room is just a couple of tables and it’s counter service, but it’s a lot less of a headache than the Latin place on Front Street. Cheerier atmosphere, too. I was told the new«dos» location out on Hammond has more seating.
