Travis AFB Theater

Decent size movie theater on base. Basically looks like a schools auditorium except with a large screen for movies. The prices for the movies are decent, and the movies they show are recent. They also throw «theme» movie nights for kids which I really like.
The appearance of the theater is pretty old though and the seats needs to be cleaned a bit more. Can you imagine how many kids have spilled drinks and treats and what not on these seats. I was here for a graduation for a clients family and we had to move because some seats had some weird stains on it. Eeewew!
For today though they are showing the new «avengers!» Movie! The minute you walk in there is bathrooms to the left and also small concession stands for popcorn, candy and drinks. Pretty nice to have it on base.

As military theaters go this one is right typical, but compared to the two local theaters in town its… Not so great.

Movies are always great, and the snack bar, while small, has all of the wanted, or needed goodies.

Very large theater. The prices are better than in town especially at the concession stand. However the hot dog buns were stale today, so that wasn’t good. Seats are comfortable and 3-​D glasses are good. Enjoyed the movie.

You can’t beat a place that’s located on your base and shows cheap movies to you. They are usually only open on the weekends and have two or three showings of recent to semi recent movies. though sometimes they have some sort of deal where they show movies that aren’t even released yet which is awesome.
The interior isn’t anything spectacular but at least it’s semi clean. For a place that holds a lot of Roll Calls, it’s pretty tidy. The concession stand is small but it has things that will fill your need for a movie.
