We stayed for one Saturday night in February. I didn’t check Unilocal reviews on this place until just now as I was looking for another hotel for an upcoming trip. Interesting to see reviews from 2015 w similar complaints as mine. Our air conditioning unit did not work. We did not notice until we came in after dinner. the office was already closed. We called the emergency number… 4 times! 10pm, 11:30pm, 1am and 2am. No response. I talked to desk hostess in the morning and she told me that upset her because they just had it worked on. Same response the other reviewer mentions! I asked if she got my calls. She said it doesn’t go to her so she has no idea. I told her we were very unhappy. She said she would talk to manager. I didn’t hear anything for 2 days, and only after I had sent a 2nd email demanding a refund due to lack of customer service. To their credit, they gave me a sincere apology and a full refund. The rooms are fine; spacious and clean. The walls are extremely thin and we could hear the conversations of our neighbors to the side and upstairs.

It’s hard to find out what kind of room you get probably unless you call the hotel and talked to them directly. The staffs were certainly courteous and helpful that this may work. The reason you may want to talk to them could be like what we found out about our room: 1. Our bathroom has a frosted window facing a public patio with benches, docks and occasional guests reclining, but otherwise no vents whatsoever. Steam from your shower will make your room more humid. The outdoor temperature was mid-fifties to low-seventies and humid when we visited. Our bathroom window was sweating every time I checked. In fact the grout along the bottom of the window was covered with black mold. 2. On our 3rd day visiting Treasure Island, we were so tired of eating we tried a simple meal for two: ramen noodle, boxed broth, frozen veggie and cooked meat from a nearby decent Publix. Pros: Our room, and apparently every room, has a rear-facing window overlooking the deck with benches with umbrellas, a gas grill, 5 – 6 docks where a 24-ft sailboats was docked. Beyond that is a wide canal across which are back of private homes and motels. Many eateries, Publix supermarket and Walgreen within 1 mile. The 2-burner stove had a light that alert you of a hot surface well after the stove was turned off. Good safety feature. The kitchenette had a complete 4-setting set of cups, dessert plates, dinner plates and soup bowl. Decent set of cookware, indented and free of scratches. Floor was tiled in very light color. Less service to accumulate mold. The staff washed the floor before we checked into the room, slightly b/44:00pm. Cons: Kitchen has no hood nor air vent. Suitable only for reheating restaurant leftovers in the microwave oven. Flatware was the lightest I’ve ever seen. One of our forks was bent. Drip Coffee Brewer emitted explosive snaps while brewing, but office staff handed me a new one once I brought it up. For the price, we’re happy.

We picked up a week-long stay here for a decent price when my fiancé’s family came into town for a 90th birthday and family reunion this past weekend. The kitchen was stocked with dishes(and a coffee machine!) and there were three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms — which worked well for our group. While the beds could have been a bit nicer, you cant beat the view. The help was kind, and attentive when we had questions — the rooms were clean when I arrived and we enjoyed our stay!

This motel is not a place I will stay at again. The room was ok but our air conditioning in the room was not operating correctly. I should say that it had air coming out of it but barely. And not cold air mind you. You know you might have a problem when there is a fan in the room. Went and asked about it at the front desk and was told that it had been worked on and they were all full. After checking I found out that our room was the last room with the old air unit. The unit was up on the wall in the corner. It didnt have a cover on it. I mean you could see the louvers in plain sight. Plus it was loud. Hard to sleep with the heat and noise. The pool is nice but it needed cleaning. Was there a week and didn’t see it get cleaned once. The full refrigerator that was in the room was a joke. It barely kept our food cool. The freezer was as cold as the fridge. lol…they ahould fix this room before they rent it out to anyone. If you need anything after 5pm Sunday through Thursday your out of luck. No one is at the desk. You have to call an after hours number. I ran into another guest that had been at the beach all day and the toilet in his room had over flowed. Said he got an answering message. Man had to wait till someone show up the next morning.

Older building with remodeled rooms that are nice. Room has a stove, refrigerator, microwave and pots/pans/dishes, etc. we couldn’t check in earlier than the official time of 4pm. Staff is friendly and facilities are clean. The only thing we found surprising was the fact that housekeeping only cleans your room every third day. You can take dirty towels to the office and get clean ones.
