Waffle House

This is the BEST Waffle House you will find out of the entire South! The entire staff is always positive and outgoing. The service is fast and the waffle is delicious! This is a great breakfast joint if staying in the area! Fast and clean. Yum!

Great communication from the moment we walked in the door. Waitress was kind and helpful with the menu. First time we had been to a Waffle House, and though they were busy, they got our order out quickly and correctly. We expected it to be a greasy good meal, and it was!

One of the best Waffle House locations I have visited. Tasty food, friendly and attentive staff, and of course, great prices. It can get pretty busy depending on the weather /​season… especially on the weekend. But overall, I’m definitely a fan!

Decent food for the price. No complaints or compliments. You need to ask for the $ 5 deal menu otherwise they don’t give you. Biscuits are very greasy!

Went here two days in a row, it was good the first day and even better on the second day.

The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean. The waffles were tasty. Parking cam be a challenge during peak times.

Great service at their busiest! My food was amazing and the waitress was very polite. We will be coming back for sure.

The staff were nice, waffles addictive, BLT sandwiches great! Nice place to visit on vacation for a family on a budget. I would eat here again.

By far the best Waffle House I have ever visited. The staff are funny, warm, and friendly. When on vacation I like to eat at locally owned spots. I am so glad we opted for Waffle House. My kids loved it. PLUS, they offer free coffee while you wait for your table! C’mon, it’s a no brainer!

I just love Waffle House. If you take it for what it is and not try to fancy it up its a darned good place to eat. These employees were busy and working hard but our waitress was friendly and fast and our food was perfect. What more can you ask for?
It looked pretty clean to us, no complaints there. ALL the staff were friendly, the cook even came over and asked us how the food was. Several other servers, besides ours, took the time to say hello and ask how we were.
Parking was great, unlike many other places in the area. I’m a fan!

Waffle House is a brand that is synonymous with customer service and this Waffle House is no exception. As always, we were greeted with a friendly welcome to Waffle House! The food tasted as it always does which is good but not great. What I like about this particular restaurant is that they are used to high volume so they are prepared for it. With this Waffle House, you can expect what you have grown to expect from every other one and maybe even better if it’s busy.

Unlike other reviewers, I felt like the restaurant was clean when I visited. Visited during the day after the breakfast rush. Our waitress was on cue for everything and checked on us at the right times. Cannot complain about the visit. Our food came out pretty quickly and it tasted like the breakfast I had hoped for.

This is a very busy highly touristed Waffle House. Day after Christmas standing room only. I only get one thing at Waffle House: the pecan waffle.
Hot fresh and clean. Nice waitresses. It might be slightly more expensive than other waffle houses since it is on the beach. But that’s ok.

Alright, I knew that the Waffle House isnt a great quality place BUT I wasnt expecting that… The cooks and waitresses were arguing in front of the customers, I even wondered if two women were going to fight! Of course, with such a bad ambiance, they were rude to everyone including customers…
The food was OK, had some hashbrown with a bacon and cheese sandwich… Orange juice is disgusting, only tasted chemical…

This was my first trip to Waffle House. I lived by it for years and never bothered to stop in because the line was always out the door. But when we were down in Treasure Island visiting in May, I made the husband get up one day and we went.
One table was open — it wasn’t cleaned but we were going for it. We stood by the end of it, claiming it as ours, until someone came over and cleaned it off for us.
The menu looks limited, but when you realize you can mix things up on it, it suddenly becomes much much bigger!
I had something off the menu that had bacon, eggs, toast and hash browns. The husband had pancakes (neither of us got waffles, don’t ask me why.)
I cannot speak highly enough of the food I received! They did the hashbrowns exactly as I ordered them — perfection in cooking and with the toppings. It’s making my mouth water right now as I think about it. The cheesy eggs were cooked perfectly — and I HATE most eggs, especially in the morning. Toast — hard to screw that up, but it was good. And the bacon — oh Lawdy — the bacon was delicious!!!
The husband’s pancakes he said were good, and his bacon was gone before I took a second look. He likes breakfast, and I’m not sure how surprised he was at the food, but since I’m definitely NOT a breakfast person, I was much more impressed.
For a breakfast place, I love you! Not sure how your lunches are, or if you even serve lunch and dinner, but I cannot wait to go back to one up here near us in Ohio! Hopefully it’ll be sooner than later!

Last I checked your not supposed I have bugs in ur soda and a trash can covered in flies within two feet of your food. I will never go to a Waffle House again! It’s not that hard to just clean people.

First of all, you need to overlook the fact that this joint isn’t the cleanest in the world. The menu’s are syrup sticky and I wouldn’t recommend putting your silverwear (or anything else going into your mouth) on the table.
That said, let’s talk about why you eat here. The Waffle House, no matter which one you go to (and we’ve been to many on the Florida coast) is great for breakfast food. We tend to come here in the middle of the night, after a long day on the beach, looking to finally put some good breakfast grub in our bellies. Pancakes, waffles, toast with jelly, hash browns, BACON, sausage, eggs, etc… they have it. Their food isn’t gourmet and it doesn’t look the greatest. BUT…it down taste damn good!
Lastly, the WH tends to hire the coolest people around. Chatty waitresses and a funny cook combo can usually be found no matter which location you visit.
Keep the door open Waffle House. we’ll be there after midnight!

I don’t expect much when I go to one, so I’m never disappointed when I leave.
And this one did just fine at 3a on a Friday night.

They’re Waffle House but I was in a hash browns mood. And they let you design your own which sounds pretty cool. But I like ‘em crisp and they were rather soggy.
Their generosity with the jalapenos keeps them at a solid two but I’ll look elsewhere for my late eats.

Whose idea was this? Well, okay. maybe it was 3:30 or so in the morning and we weren’t going to be driving anywhere… but still. If I had known that I (and the hotel’s plumbing) would be paying for it for most of the next day, I would have passed.
One star added for at least being cleaner than the Waffle House near where I live, which hasn’t been updated or probably cleaned since World War II.
