My favorite location, got to be the best staff members. Love the food, more importantly to me is the Staff always remember me and my Husband, and we live in Tennessee. Thanks for all your kind words.

omg AMAZING. I had the Western Sandwich with pulled pork and pulled chicken, cheddar cheese, pickles, and sweet bbq. Side of Mac and cheese and baked potato casserole. Try it!!! Food was amazing!

I think the quality of food that you get here for your money is really good. Its so much better than the national BBQ restaurant with the pig on its sign. In addition to great food at a fast pace, they also have free ice cream with any meal, and Sundays are kids eat free days. We come here at least once a month! Gotta check it out!

Ordered the pulled pork and beef brisket with sides of salad and onion tanglers. To me it looked like dog food. The flavor was not good at all. Of course I compare this place to slows bbq and bad brads bbq and I give this place 1 star. The salad tasted like freezer burn, the onion tanglers had no onion at all as you can see in the picture. Felt like cafeteria food with the way the sides are. Worst of all I felt like the meat was old and sitting out too long since I got a stomach ache from it. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

Not bad BBQ I think the brisket is a little over chopped lol. But it is pretty good. I definitely would come back again.

Have tried this place on and off since it opened never really had a great experience. The workers are generally lame and not enthusiastic. The atmosphere is generally empty and the food is always sub par maybe par. On my visit today I noticed many flies in the dining room and empty napkin holders and dirty tables when the restaurant was empty. That kind of restaurant especially when it isn’t cheap doesn’t make a repeat customer. Final advice drive up the road to billy sims.

My husband and I love BBQ. He had been wanting to go to Dickey’s since we first drove by and saw it opened. We were out recently and stopped by for a late lunch. We were about the only people in their. I was excited and looking forward to it! It is located only a few miles from our home. I left disappointed, I just plain didn’t like the flavor of much of it! As a matter of fact, I threw out a good portion of my lunch. My expectations were not grandiose. I was hungry and looking forward to trying a new BBQ place, close to home. No one wants to be disappointed, however, with the flavor, I was. I know to each their own, my husband liked it a bit better than I did, he wasn’t thrilled either though. We LOVED Red, Hot and Blue and miss them, I think the recession hit them hard, because they were always busy. I also love Famous Daves. This wasn’t even CLOSE to the quality of taste you can get there. I am sure Dickies is less expensive. I will pay more and not throw my food away. I wish my review could be different. I am always fair and honest. I want to support local businesses. Dickey’s is just not for us.

I love love this place! You get an amazing meal for such a good price. We’ve tried the brisket, chicken and spicy and cheddar sausage and they are so good. The sides are also delicious. We recently had some food catered for a party and everything went well. They are very professional with their set up. They delivered the food on time and set up everything and provided all the things we needed.

Great for when you want BBQ but do not want to wait for an hour to be seated on a Saturday night. BBQ is the big food trend now, and sometimes you just don’t feel like making a night of it. This is where Dickey’s comes in. The food tasted good and the daily specials are priced well. The service was exceptional for counter service. I found the signs limiting the number of pickles and ice cream to be tacky. If enough people are loading their trays with a dozen pickles to make it an issue, then just put a pickle on their plate.

4 stars for what it is! Quick, inexpensive bbq. Now, is this place better than bad brads, slows, or lazy bones? Hell no! But is it better than billy sims? Hell yeah! I came in on a Thursday and got the daily special: pulled pork, cheddar link, two sides(Mac and cheese and slaw) with a drink all for $ 8.99($ 9.53 after tax– prices have gone up since Matthew p review)! They have the best sweet tea I’ve ever had! I usually get my liquid cavity in a cup from McDonalds or from sams club but I like this better than all of them! I asked for the pulled pork extra lean so no fatty chunks in it and it was good but the real winner is the cheddar link! Woahhh! Nice creamy textured inside with a snap and a kick of heat at the end! Very satisfying. The slaw was good– tasted like KFC slaw. The Mac wasn’t bad but left more to be desired. Almost felt like it was from GFS and just warmed through and served. Again, I’ve had worse but this wasn’t too bad! Overall I’m glad I tried this place out! Everything I had was good and I would order again! Give it a try, you’d be surprised!

I ate here for the first time tonight. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get, my son and I both walked away completely stuffed. The quality of the food was excellent. The pulled pork and brisket were very good, flavorful, and juicy, we topped ours off with some of the original BBQ’s sauce. I had fried Okra as a side and it was perfect, the jalapeño beans were ok, not great. My son really liked the cole slaw. The service was amazing. I felt like I was in a family run business, in fact I thought the managers owned the franchise. Even if the food was average getting treated with such great service would make me go back again. I would give it 4.5 stars if that was on option on Unilocal. Great for families, great for takeout, we will definitely be going back again.

It’s probably a 3.5 but I’ll be nice and round up. For fast-casual BBQ, it hits the spot. The meat is very good and the portions are pretty generous. The sides are adequate but nothing too crazy or special. The service is usually pretty fast and you can get a good meal out the door in less than 10 minutes. Only down side is the limited sauces, as they only have three and they are just OK. The big yellow soda cups are a nice little bonus, as is the free soft serve ice cream.

Dammit this was good! Ok, so I skipped lunch yesterday, and on the way home from the museum, I was starving. I spotted Dickeys on the way to I-75 and hit this place on the way home. When I got in line, it took a minute or two before I was able to place my order. The line is kind of backwards, and you have to cut through the register line to get to the order station. The staff here seemed kind of noticeably annoyed in general, but I didn’t really care at that point since I was starving. They have specials most days of the week. I got the brisket because that’s what I wanted, and it happened to be the Saturday special, which was awesome. It came with two sides and a drink for $ 8.99. YES! The brisket was awesome, the coleslaw was good, and the fries were okay. Drink cup was huge, and overall, I had a really good time here. Like I said, the staff was a bit crabby, but I wasn’t overly concerned since I was just that hungry. I would gladly return in the future. Fair prices, good food and a variety of other things as well. Pretty good BBQ considering some of the options out there.

I like the pickles and«free» soft serve, but found the pulled pork kind of bland. To me it tastes like roasted pork with some sauce. Rather than the slow smoked food advertised. Not very much smokey flavor… Please feel free to correct me if I’m mistaken.

I have been to quite a few Texas BBQ places in Texas. I have worked for companies that had manufacturing facilities down in Houston, in El Paso with sister plants across the border in Mexico and in Dallas. And I have spent some time in small towns in East Texas too. So when I saw that Dickey’s advertised itself as a Texas BBQ place, I was hoping for the best. I hoped for that great tangy taste from all those trips and stops at Texas BBQ joints down yonder. But I think Dickey’s was a lot more like BBQ that you might expect in Wisconsin than in Texas. The choices were weird. I saw that Chicken was one of the meats and I expected that they smoked whole chickens. So when I asked how to order chicken, the counter person didn’t know why I was asking. It turns out they only sell chicken breast meat cut into chunks. I have never seen that before. And they had a choice of a one meat plate, a two meat plate, a three meat plate and a four meat plate. They ranged from overpriced to silly expensive. So I opted for the two meat plate. Now I had to choose. So I chose the chicken, not knowing that it was white meat with some BBQ sauce on it and I chose a cheddar hot link. This came with two sides. I picked the Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw. The hot link wasn’t bad and the chicken was so-so. The Mac and Cheese had been sitting for a while and the Slaw was OK. I might have opted tor ribs, but the ribs looked to have been cut in half and not much to eat for the high price Dickey’s was asking for the small pieces. I actually think that now that I have seen the menu, it might have actually been smarter to buy some meat by the pound rather than paying for the plate price. They have sandwiches too, but I didn’t see anyone eating them, so I did not consider that. Actually, the place was empty at 5:15PM, so that might have been a warning signal. Dickey’s does provide free soft serve ice cream. It was grainy and icy though, so that was a waste too. Drinks come in huge yellow plastic souvenir cups at a big cup price. Since I love good Texas BBQ, I won’t be back to Dickey’s any time soon. I also suspect this location will not be here for very long.

The food is good, but some things are sallllllllty! The BBQ Baked Beans are Saaaaaaaallllllty! So I say no to them. The ribs are also toooooo salty, and dry and not very meaty, so no, to those as well. The beef brisket however is delicious and so is the BBQ smoked ham. Mac and cheese is good and so is the creamy coleslaw. The cheesy spicy sausage link is very good with just the right amount of heat and cheese. Overall, the price is right and the food is good. Now don’t be fooled by the free«ice cream» it’s the worst you’ve ever had and the machine looks so unsanitary that it really should just be removed… It’s like milk, with ice crystals, soup. I must add, that upon our first visit, «Nate» the prep cook was a nice guy. After subsequent visits, «Nate» has become a cranky, rude, MF. If I was in different company my last time up, «Nate» and I would have had words. If you hate the job buddy, it’s time to move on. It’s not worth it for me to come in and drop $ 60 and deal with this idiot. Time to move over to the new Billy Sims and let nature take its course over at Dickey’s. We had a nice run Dickey’s, but you got too much«Dickey» up in here for me these days. Fire Nate and maybe I’ll be back. Everyone else seemed nice.

Think of Dickeys as the Boston Market of BBQ. That being said, I highly suggest you do not go in there with high hopes of receiving top notch«Q» or else you will be pretty disappointed. Today I had the Westerner Sandwich with Texas Style Chopped Beef Brisket and Spicy Cheddar Sausage. Food wise, I have definitely had much better, but it wasn’t awful, it just lacked in a lot of aspects I am used to when it comes to decent Bar-B-Que. I was looking for a good rich smoky flavor which wasn’t there, but what I did find were a few little chewy fatty pieces of brisket which was a bit unpleasing. I opted to make it a plate with two sides and opted to have both of them Mac & Cheese as others on here said that was the way to go. I for one wasn’t very impressed. While it was creamy it had this weird flour like texture to it. It didn’t taste like flour, it was just the texture — gritty would be the best way to describe it. Even so, having an off texture to a food can be just as bad as off flavors.

Listen, I’m going to tell you how to do Dickey’s. 1. You come on Thursday. 2. You get the Thursday Special or Managers special offered on Thursdays only. 2a. Both come with big yellow cup, and choice of two side. 2b. Thurs Daily Special is cheddar hot link, and pulled pork. Managers Special is chopped brisket. 3. Get mac and cheese, and creamy coleslaw. It’s the two sides that actually do right. 4. Pay 7.99 for a plate of food weighing in at like 1.5lbs. 5. Procure sauces of choice. I mix regular and hot together. 6. Procure free pickles and fill drink. 7. Enjoy food 8. Hit the free ice cream machine fro vanilla in a cone. 9. Bus your table. 10. Regret eating it all, plus ice cream as you’re literally stuffed. Bön appetite! PS. I add Cheddar Hot Link to my manager’s special, it’s ¼lb for $ 3. I share it with my co-worker. It’s got a snap to it, with a nice texture on the inside. The smooth cheddar hits you first, followed by the smoky sausage note, then pow some heat.
