My sister’s fiancée hails from Troy, OH and so they decided to do their engagement party here. We stayed here during the weekend the Troy Strawberry Festival took place which I believe is (one of?) their busiest weekend (s) all year. Many business fold under the pressure of having to deal with a significantly higher amount of traffic than usual but I’m happy to say that wasn’t the case here.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well-​kept with adequate amenities. There was a nice looking indoor pool that was pretty much empty all weekend. We didn’t get a chance to check it out but it looked as good as pools at much fancier hotels.
The complimentary breakfast is standard fare. Powdered scrambled eggs, frozen breakfast sausages, low-​quality pastries, cereals and one of those make-​your-​own waffle machines. Not the worst complimentary breakfast I’ve seen, but nothing to write home about.

We stayed here Friday and Saturday night during the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover (Labor Day Weekend 2013). I believe the hotel was sold out. However, despite being VERY busy all of the employees were very pleasant and gave great customer service.
They even went the extra mile by allowing us to store our road bikes indoors while we attended a nearby re-​enactment. The breakfast had plenty of options (even though instant scrambled eggs are always gross) and everything was fresh. They kept it replenished right up until it ended. The breakfast attendant was very nice, brought people refills, and even got used dishes out of the way for us. The guy who checked us in on Friday remembered us the following day and asked us if we’d been able to catch the evening shuttle.
The soft chocolate chunk cookies were fantastic too. The workout room is very small (just 2 machines) but the pool is pretty large and is indoors. If you’re a cyclist it’s fairly easy to get to the Miami-​Erie Trail from here… check MapMyRide.
In all honesty, we received better, friendlier service here than we have at many Westins and Sheratons.

We have used Fairfield Inn for a sweet sixteen party for our daughter. We had two adjoining rooms, service was fair, swimming pool good, and morning breakfast was better then most of the hotels we have stayed in.
