Gorman’s Furniture

This place looks like a mini warehouse of furniture. It is thrown together without any design or staging elements. Like any warehouse, they have a large showroom of everything that is American traditional. The staff is knowledgeable about pieces and there is quite a selection of all furniture pieces. There is always a sale so check your local paper!

Just a first blush impression… looking for table, chairs and family room set and did not find what we needed but there is a big selection. Nice help. Nothing «original»

After months of going back and forth and looking for a replica bed, we decided to stop by the Gormans in Troy. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service. From the moment we walked in we were greeted. Judy was helping us, along with the store manager, who went above and beyond to find the bed, that we loved at the Novi location. We bought the bed and are extremely happy with the service.

Connie helped us today select furniture that will meet our needs since our upholsterer ran off with our sofa and chairs. Found some lovely Stickley pieces with a plethora of fabrics that match our living room color– a dark pumpkin. The designer will come out and help select pieces that will fit the area and develop a pattern for the furniture. I am delighted and relieved as living without furniture has been difficult. Lead time is the typical 8 to 12 weeks but I can live with that. The quality is there and although I am not a big fan of today’s furniture look aka oversized, we were able to find pieces that we can graciously live with as we put on a few more years.

High end furniture company with a high end furniture lines and price point to match. I do have to say though that I am always taken aback when I am shopping at a store and the customer is treated as if I am being done a favor by the store employees. On a recent visit I had to seek someone to assist me with pricing on pieces we had been in more than once to look at. These pieces are not marked. Again, you are not doing me a favor to assist me with pricing on a piece of furniture that I would like to purchase from your establishment. Unfortunately we were moving and the order turnaround time was insufficient to place an order for these pieces and we will need to do it from our new home rather than there but the truth is had the service been more conducive when we began looking, it would have been a sale for Gorman’s.
