Great portion sizes here! I got their avocado in my salad and I’m extremely excited to eat it, because who doesn’t like avocado right? And when I take a bite, I realize they’ve put lime all over the avocado to keep it from going brown, and it was overload! Totally ruined my salad because the avocado smushed all over! So much for that extra 2 $ charge for avocado!);

Probably the healthiest place to eat at the Somerset food court. They don’t offer side salads; just the whole giant portion salads. Best to have someone to share with. The salads aren’t bad. The wraps here are horrible. Don’t get it. Just stick with the salad.

I thought the salad was just OK. Lots of lettuce and skimpy toppings. Next time I’m at Summerset I will try a different place.

Salad Sensations is one of the food vendors in the Somerset Collection mall. I was so excited to eat here and make my own salad. Their sign said I would get lettuce, dressing, 1 meat, 1 cheese, 1 egg, and 4 vegetables for $ 8-something. A little steep, but okay. I was disappointed by three things: 1. While the giant bin of lettuce had three kinds of greens – spinach, fancy greens, and iceberg – I was given just one kind of green. Can you guess which one? The cheap one: iceberg. I was looking forward to some spinach, but never got a chance to ask. This felt misleading. 2. When I went to ask for orange slices as one of my 4 vegetables, the guy behind the counter told me that orange is a fruit, and not a vegetable, so it counts as 2 of my 4 vegetables. This was confusing because no sign anywhere said that. This felt misleading. 3. When I actually went to eat the salad, it didn’t taste like anything. You know how sometimes you eat a tomato and it’s incredible and dense with flavor and it’s so juicy and you just can’t believe anything is that delicious, and other times it tastes like a cold blob? The whole salad was the cold blob. Nothing really tasted like anything. I was pleased with: 1. The size of the salad.
