At first glance, this place doesn’t look like much. The inside is dark and dreary and 80s looking. However, once the food comes out, nothing else matters. I am never disappointed with anything I order. The canneloni and lasagna are delicious and their house dressing is nothing short of amazing. The portions fill you up and service is great. If you come here expecting something like Maggiano’s or Olive Garden, sadly my friend, you’ve come to the wrong place. However, if you come here and want to be treated like a valued customer with great, homey food, then this is the place for you.

The best pizza in the suburbs, PERIOD! Tony’s had been making their great New York style pizza since 1961 and they know what they are doing. This place should be number one and it just goes to prove that people don’t know good pizza. If you like chain pizzas, you don’t know good pizza! I have been eating at Tony’s for over 25 years. If you haven’t tried Tony’s, hurry up and get here before I eat it ALL!

Tony’s Pizza is one of those gems that you just hope never goes away. They have been a staple in Troy for over 50 years and they make the best true New York style pizza in the area. Their pepperoni has that wonderful flavor that has been lost in 99% of other pizza places. Their pizza will appeal to foodies who know great pizza when they stumble upon it. If you love Supino Pizza, you will love Tony’s…they are that good. Try the antipasto salad as well, very very tasty!

I have been coming for years and love there antipasto salad and pizza. My husband is not a big pizza fan but loves Tony’s. He never eats the crust but he always eats all of Tony’s. I wish they had earlier Sunday hours… The place is outdated but I am there for the pizza!

The inside is a little dated but the pizza and salads are very good. Tony’s is one of my wife’s favorite places to eat. When you’re at Tony’s you should try their special pizza with multiple toppings to make the best combination with their sauce and cheese. Tony’s is a reasonably priced restaurant with good quality food and good service. You’ll enjoy your dinner there as we have many times ourselves.

Went on a weekday and there were only a few other people there. It happens. Well, I think it’s because the pizza is just ordinary. Its flavor is just okay and its crust isn’t flavorful or texturally enjoyable. In short, nothing too special and I won’t go back. I don’t like to comment on non-food issues but the place wasn’t very clean either. Sorry, y’all. I do think the old-school style is cozy, though. Wouldn’t change that about it. In the end, I’d give it a shot, but I wouldn’t expect to be excited on the walk out to your car after.

The middle aged lady server is amazing! Had her twice. Hubby and I had the lasagna, pizza, breadsticks and salad. Everything was amazing! Definitely recommend to anyone again!

Hands down one of the best pizza ever. I always get the special which has all kinds of meats and veggies and even just a cheese pizza is delicious. The inside does need to be remodeled because its a 70s style booths and table but when you have good food and service who cares. I will definitely be back.

I don’t know why some people couldn’t appreciate this place, but it is a classic, old school mom and pop pizza joint. Kudos for brick oven thin bubbly crust, high quality Italian sausage, not too sweet red sauce, amazing homemade garlic bread sticks, friendly service, and a great value for great pizza. I often make my own pizza at home, complete with sauce and dough from scratch, and my mother is Italian, so my standards are high. Naples, Italy may have better pizza, but Tony’s beats all the other places we’ve tried for miles around. We found this place on Unilocal and will definitely be back.

So I go to Tony’s over a bunch of other suggestions because I ‘had to try this place’. Ok fine, i’m always up for something new. We get there and the place has maybe 5 tables of people and the rest is pretty empty. We get seated and i’m looking past my booth to the ones on the opposite wall and all the tables were dirty. Like 3 of them that had dishes and napkins everywhere and they stayed that way till just before we left like an hour later. The pizza came like 20 minutes later and it’s not what I call pizza. It’s what New Yorkers might call pizza, but this wasn’t even a good rendition of a NY style pizza. Crust was rubbery and I couldn’t get a knife through it so I had to pick it up. like a NY style pizza should be. but I digress. It had a good cheese blend(Fontina, Parm?) and had the little pepperonis that I like, but overall this crust was not what the DR ordered. Staff was friendly but seemed oddly overworked for a mostly empty restaurant. The place itself needs a redux but i’ve had better food in worse conditions too. Place needs some TLC in every area, but it could have a Renaissance if it just tried, me thinks.

Great service and awesome pizzeria style pizza. The salad with the house dressing was great tasting but a little on the small side, can’t wait to come back.

An absolute must-try! The pizza is some of the best around, and the breadsticks are amazing as well. The pasta is pretty good, but that’s not why you come here. Salad is also a bit hit-or-miss but again, that’s not the point. Everything is reasonably priced and the servers are usually very attentive. One of my favorites.

We took Mom here for Mother’s Day. Five of us shared two pizzas, the chicken parm, and manicotti. Everything was delicious. I even enjoyed their house Italian dressing, and I don’t even like Italian.

Had pizza /Antipasto Salad /Breadsticks here today. Service was very good and the food was good. I’ve been coming to this place on and off since I was a kid. It’s reasonably priced and a family owned restaurant. Not the best pizza in town, but better than the chains.

I have eaten here many times over the past 13 years. The food is pretty consistent and the pasta dishes are delicious. I moved to Cleveland Heights a while back. On a recent trip back to the east side, I made sure to stop and get some of Tonys delicious salad dressing to take back to Ohio with me. It is soooo good.

I drove past this place countless times saying to myself«I gotta try that place» until one day I finally did, and I was very pleased. Now I am only reviewing what I ate which was pizza but they have a full menu that seems pretty good. The pizza however was really good! If you a fan of going out for pizza definitely check this place out. Nice staff, really good thin crust round pizza. Good salads and garlic bread. Check out Tony’s, they’ve been in business for 50 years and now I know why.

Someone call Chef Ramsey, what a nightmare. The family was nice but running around sweating on everything is a bit of a turn off. Upon arrival we waited 5 minutes for a seat in an empty restaurant, only because every single table was covered with dirty dishes, I mean it looked like they hadn’t bussed a single table all day. We started with an antipasta salad, what a disappointment. It was 8 bucks & we got less then a ½ a head of poorly chopped iceberg lettuce they buried with a gallon of oil & «WATER» dressing which they then topped with two slices of salami, warm cheese & a few olives. I was starting to get the feeling my impression of their restaurant was not a concern. The bread sticks were served with no sauce & had to pull teeth to get that. I was crossing my fingers that maybe the pizza would save this meal, nope. Cold, under cooked super bland pizza with a rather large pool of water. I could think of at least 10 other pizzerias in the area to go to before I made myself a regular here! I’m hoping I just caught them on a bad day, but I doubt I’ll be brave enough to return here anytime soon as this memory haunts my pizza dreams.
