The bison burger and garlic fries were exactly what I was hoping for. I added bacon, avacado and mushrooms. The flavor of the burger is great and not greasy.

My husband, daughter and I make a stop on here on our way to Reno. Definitely will be back! I had the patty melt and my husband had the Big Dipper. My daughter had a grilled cheese, however was not touched as she filled up on the small chocolate shake before her sandwich arrived. Fries are not needed with the size of the burgers, unless you are really hungry! We ordered small garlic fries to share. Small was more than enough for two people and they are NOT lacking on the use of fresh garlic!

One of my favorite burgers in Reno, like the size of the slider for a lite lunch. Service is pretty quick for a burger made fresh, staff is friendly.

Pretty darn good. Gluten free bun decent, burger very tasty and full of fixings. Fries plentiful and tasty, Caesar salad the perfect complement.

I really liked this place last time I ate here maybe 3 years ago. Unfortunately it just didn’t hold up. I had the Train Wreck which was a decent combination of flavors but the burger was pretty much burnt. My wife had a basic cheese burger with no lettuce. Hers was also waaaay over cooked almost burnt and they forgot the cheese and put lettuce on it… We had an order of sweet potato fries and regular fries both were very good. The service was 2 star at best, we had attitude from the original girl that took our order, she got off work as we were waiting for our food so maybe that was the excuse. I got even more attitude from the new girl at the counter when I picked our food up and asked to verify the fries were regular and not garlic. We didn’t even feel like dealing with them again to try and correct my wife’s order. I think 3 stars is generous from this experience. Not sure if we will be back.

My family and I stopped here on the way to North Shore(Tahoe) because I saw this on the Triple D show. The food did not disappoint. I got the bison burger and it was on point. Definitely worth the stop.

Try the Italian stallion or the gyro burger. They have gluten free, vegetarian and also did special cooking for our sons fish allergy by pan frying the cheesiest grilled cheese. :)

Fantastic burger and fries with a good beer selection. The staff was friendly and the place was clean and inviting. There are a couple video games in the back for kids.

Omg! Hands down the best burgers and fries. The fries are made with sea salt with parsley flakes and the burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection with fine quality local beef. The buns taste super fresh and homemade. Oh! I can’t forget the root beer float made with gourmet root beer and french vanilla ice cream filled to the top of the glass so there’s more than enough ice cream in the float. I’m stuffed and happy… Ready to take a nap. #foodcoma

Went to Truckee to go fishin’ and asked a local guide for a good burger joint that wasn’t $ 20… I’m so glad he reccomended Burger Me. Now the only burger I’ve had here was just cheese burger on a whole wheat bun. It could have been more rare for my taste but, I didn’t ask so it was about a 3… But the onion rings are just about the best I’ve ever had. Golden, crunchy, beer battered carbs! Ive stayed away from rings for a couple of years now but these are worth breaking the fast. Please help keep this place busy!

A popular burger place in Truckee. From the outside it is fairly unassuming with some parking and a couple tables but inside it was surprisingly busy but still with some tables free. We had the Patty Melt and BBQ Bison Burger. The patty melt is an odd creation, basically a sandwich with fancy bread but with a circular meat patty… which means you have corner pieces of bread with no filling… it was still nice although no lettuce/veggies. The BBQ bison burger was solid but not all that exciting although every bite was quite nice with all the ingredients working well together. The fries were good quality too, nice and chunky with good crunch. There were also 2 old school arcade machines: Mrs. Pac-Man and Centipede. Overall a good solid burger place with quality ingredients.

Time to update my review from the one I wrote last year. I wasn’t too impressed with Burger Me! the first time I visited last year, but have been here another two times since then. I still think the food is average and the milkshakes are delicious, but my opinion about the atmosphere has now changed. I really like stopping here after visiting Sierra Hot Springs north of Truckee on Highway 89. It’s a perfect place to stop for dinner on the way back to Roseville and even though there is limited seating, it’s a good place to take a group of people with separate checks since you order at the counter. I always seem to come here with 4 – 7 people in tow, so while we do have to hustle for seating, we always end up seeming to find it. I’ll definitely be back on a return trip from Sierra Hot Springs.

While passing through on the way to Sac, the tummy grumbles hit. My husband has been to Burger Me before with his friend and he thought I might like it. He knows me so well. Their special this week is an elk burger. It comes with a big fat onion ring on it, provolone cheese, spring greens, and a blueberry BBQ sauce. YES. I am telling you, this burger is something else. The sweet BBQ sauce offsets the gamey taste of the elk. The onion ring adds a good flavor and texture, but I also think it adds to the burger in that it adds some fat to the elk. I know elk is pretty lean and the burger patty by itself was dry– but eaten in the sandwich with the onion ring, cheese, and sauce, the dryness wasn’t an issue. Also, it was enormous and I could not even get my mouth around it(TWSS). We had sweet potato fries too. They were excellent. EXCEPT the one thing I wish they’d do better– serve honey mustard sauce to dip them in! But yeah delicious burger, absolutely will be going back.

Huh?! How did they end up on the food networks triple d show ?! The food was mediocre and nothing was extraordinary. We were all starving after our spartan race in Tahoe and we were excited to try out this joint on the way home. The place was easy enough to fine, they have a small parking lot out front and some parking across the street as well. Looking overt he menu, I decided on the bison burger and garlic fries and the bf got a regular cow cheeseburger. We asked for the order TOGO… Big mistake here… My bison burger was ok. A bit dry but I liked the fact it was leaner. The thing tasted like a traditional burger, nothing amazing. I tried a bite of the cheese burger and did not like it at all. It tasted really greasy and I could taste And feel the fat chucks in the burger meat. Now let me move on to the Fries… omg… They were SOAKed in garlic oil !!! In a bad way !!! It seriously soaked oil thru the bag and onto a paper map I had in my Lap and stained my shirt with oil !! It was a complete mess ! The bag was DRIPPING oil !! Totally gross. They need to find a better Way to package their foods. Other then that I mean the taste of the fries was ok. I almost forgot we also ordered a side of chili. It was super salty and stated like it came From a can. Maybe it would have been a better Experience if we dined in …

Great roadside stop. Delicious burgers and good portions. Burger was grilled exactly to perfection and seasoned well. The onion rings are expertly cooked so you don’t bite into it and drag out an entire onion ring separating it from the batter. The parking can be a bit tricky but spots open fast.

This was a great spot for a quick lunch in Truckee. We arrived right before 11 on a busy Saturday and most restaurants had a long wait. We made our way to the end of the main shopping area and found Burger Me which had just opened. It would have been quite the wait if we’d come any later. I was immediately drawn to the special which was a chile relleno burger. It was very different from what I was expecting, but quite delicious. It was served on a baguette style bread instead of a burger bun. The burger was delicious, but the chile relleno was amazing. I loved the green salsa on top that was slightly sweet. They also loaded the burger with mixed greens and I was glad to get a little veggie with my lunch. I also ordered a side of onion rings which tasted homemade and were yummy. They are a pretty greasy onion ring so I’m glad the order was small. My husband enjoyed his bison burger and especially enjoyed that a bison burger was an option. He had a side of french fries which I enjoyed. The fry sauce here was the best that I’ve had. It looked liked all other standard fry sauces, but was a definite step up from the usual.

Train wreck and BBQ Bison Burgers. Amazing! Train wreck has egg, chili, bacon, lettuce, tomato. Great flavor. The BBQ bison had BBQ sauce, jalapeños and bacon and cheese. Yum! The onion rings are to die for. Piping hot and golden. The bite and the onion is amazing. Probably best O rings ever. Seating is limited. Get friendly share a table. Outside tables too.

The flavors of this burger place was okay, but the bread absolutely sucked big time. On top of that, the burger was stacked so tall, there was no way I could take a bite out of it. My lips were burning too since they were chapped from the day. I might come out here again if I’m staying at Northstar. but I’d definitely order one of their creations instead of trying to make my own. The fries were delicious! Nicely fried with wonderful flavor. Just the right amount of salt and there were sprinkles of parsley for more flavor. The cashier, short stubby caucasian needs an attitude adjustment.
