Food is excellent as always — service is slow as always. Beer is good and very flavorful, just wish the manager or owners would be more attentive to the customers and not the fellow employees. We will be back but will just have to be prepared to stay longer !

I recently hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner for 40 people at Fifty Fifty Brewing and could not be happier with their service and food. Their restaurant manager, Katie, was easy to deal with and very receptive to any suggestions we had. That evening their staff included Brittani and Bryan and they were professional, polite and provided terrific service. I was amazed at the quality of food especially for a group this size — so many thanks to their kitchen staff as well. I would highly recommend this venue if you have a large group. Can’t wait to go back for another meal!

We had never really explored Truckee and we all though it was a good idea so I found this place on Unilocal and we all decided that it sounded great. The beers were delicious and my friend had a cider that was equally as good. The server was new for sure, but we all work in the service industry, so we understand what it’s like to be new. We laughed off the spilled water and ordered food. We order the brisket sandwich, pulled pork and all meat pizza. The onion rings were amazing as well with a nigh light beer batter. The sauce on the pizza was nice and had a great tomato flavor. We will definitely be back when we are back up in the area.

Awesome brewery and restaurant. We had a party of 11 and not one complaint. Excellent brews and food. Can’t go wrong!

I sit here with my family wondering — should we just get up and leave. We asked for a straw… waitess rolled her eye We asked what the specials were — waitress seemed irritated that we asked. We ordered a burger for a 7 year old -” so you mean from the kids menu” Well — we didn’t even know there was a kids menu! Our beers came in dirty glasses. Not looking good folks. On the bright side — our beers taste good — maybe it is the old caked on food, or not.

My only real complaint is that they run out of Rockslide every once in awhile when I go. It’s one of my favorite IPAs! The food here is always solid and the service is friendly as well. They have a nice outdoor space for eating and because it’s not located downtown, much easier to find parking on busy weekends. I’ve taken my family here at least 10−15x over the last few years and the service, food, and beer is always consistently good. It’s a bit pricey overall, but for Tahoe I’d say middle of the road.

Good pizza and beer. Tried the large hunters pizza which was huge for 2 people — the sauce is really good! Ordered the stout, just be aware that it is 9.5% alcohol! Was very tasty, nice coffee flavor. Nice spot away from the crowded tourist area.

Yesterday must have been an off day. We both would have sent our dry, tasteless, gristly french dips back but the one waitress on duty was more than incredibly slammed, and we didn’t have an extra hour to wait for something different that may or may not have been any better.

I stopped in with two others and was happily surprised by both the quality of beer, food and the customer service. Rockslide IPA is a great hoppy IPA and ranks as one of the better IPAs I’ve had. We also tried their Totality Imperial Stout aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels and it was simply the best stout I have ever had. Fantastic! These folks are brewing West Coast beers at the highest level. You will not be disappointed. We shared one appetizer, Penn Grove Mussels and it exceeded expectations. A super large portion and delicious. I hope we get back to Fifty Fifty before leaving Truckee to try out some of their other food offerings. One last comment about their customer service. We were served by Connor and all three of us agreed he was one the best servers we have come across. He’s super knowledgeable and personable, and steered us to the right beers and food. He single-handedly made this a tremendous beer and food experience. If you are a craft beer fan, love brew pubs, or even someone who just cares about receiving great customer service, then Fifty Fifty will deliver on all points.

Here with several friends for Dinner, ordered the rack of ribs, nachos, fish tacos and a $ 18 burger. Wine was Josh, beer was Imperial Donner, those were the highlights. The ribs do not fall off the bone as the waitress suggested and the fish tacos should be renamed coleslaw tacos with fish bites, never seen such stingy portions. Burger was great at half the price. Will not give a second chance, time to find a better place for dinner.

I have been coming here for years and this is, by FAR, my favorite place to grab a pint in Truckee. I have never had a bad meal or service. They’re pizzas are incredible and the beer is even better! Try the beer sampler tray. Recently my fiancé and I chose to host our rehearsal dinner here on the patio and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Katie has been heading the entire event and has been on top of things from the start(nearly 9 months ago). She kept us apprised of any menu changes and had some great ideas for the day of, thank you Katie!

Just stopped in for a couple of growlers. 5050 now has 8 of their own on tap. I still love the CAPA but now that I’ve had Spanky s Oatmeal Pale Ale, I’m torn between which one is better, dang, they are all good

We came to town last minute and didnt plan were we were going to eat. We asked around what was in walking distance and we were told here, tThai and sushi. We decided to come hete since everyone wanted something different. Bayley was our server and did an amazing job! I ordered the steak and mashed potatoes. They are loaded with garlic… alot. thank god i love garlic. I enjoyed my food and my steak was cooked to order, but I dont think it was $ 26 good and the portions were on the small side. I would not order it again. My husband ordered a bacon burger that he enjoyed. My son ordered a cheese burger from the kids menu that was really dry. My other son Michael ordered chicken strips from the kids menu that were way over cooked. He asked to swap it out with the spaghetti. The spaghetti was not any better. The kids are drinks are refillable and $ 15 for 4 apple juice was more than i expected. 4 stars for the excellent customer service. The adult orders were pretty good. But they need to tweek the kids menu.

Worth going for the beer alone. Maybe I’m a tough grader, but the pulled pork was more sauce than pork. Fries were ok. Fish tacos were good but the black beans that came with them were devoid of flavor. Now, the beer is fantastic. A great selection of their own flavors to be enjoyed there or to go. Try the barrel aged beers. They are Awesome.

I would stay away! The burgers are perfectly cooked and flavorful with a sweet honey bun and perfectly combined cheese on a perfectly cooked grass fed ground meat that’s not pressed. The nachos were amazing with the chips to a perfect crisp and not soggy like most places. Rockslide IPA was fantastic!

Two words: consistently good I’ve been here a handful of times and their food and beer is consistent and tasty. I’ve tried all of their beers and do really love their Totality Stout and any of the Eclipse brews. For food, I’ve tried a burger, sandwich, and most recently been loving their Asian chicken salad. All of it is quite tasty and hits the spot. Love the atmosphere here, feels like a great mountain brewery with the stone, fire, and friendly service. Good for groups — I always come here with a ski house full of people. Also decent for singles as I’ve come here to eat at the bar solo as well.

Let me start by saying the ambience is pretty cool, with a solid list of beers. The seating was comfortable… location was convenient for grabbing a bite on the way out of town. The service — eh. Our waiter had the personality of a zombie. The menu was unexpectedly upscale, but with a price tag to match. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, which had a hint of cole slaw. The meat was yummy, but within 2 minutes, it was a giant soggy mess. My son ordered a BLT sandwich which came out dry, but he seemed fine with it, and black beans, which were floating in water. So, better choice than McDonalds, but at a cost of $ 45 for three sandwiches, I’ll think twice next time…

Everything about this place was just so-so. My wife and I stopped in to have beer for her and dessert for me. The server had tables both inside and outside which made her pretty much ignore us out on the patio. We were constantly looking for her to ask for something we needed from glasses of water to silverware or even to place our dessert order. I decided on a brownie with ice cream. It was again– so so. The brownie was crumbly and a touch dry. It just didn’t have a lot of flavor. The ice cream did help a bit but I really want my brownies to be more moist and flavorful than this. Honestly, it wasn’t worth the calories. After this lackluster visit I wouldn’t return here again.

I bookmarked this spot when I was browsing through stops that would be fun for a day of adventuring around Lake Tahoe. On the way into Truckee from Northstar we drove past and I mentioned«that’s where I was thinking of stopping for a beer!» My wife suggested we grab lunch as planned in Truckee and then head back for a beer. The plan worked perfectly. We pulled in a few hours later craving a beer for myself and a sweet dessert treat for my wife. From the two star rating you can infer the great planning and experience ended there. The customer service was distracted at best. We sat for 4 or 5 minutes before the waitress even made eye contact with us. Once she came over we asked for 2 waters and a dessert menu as I already had a beer menu. I investigated my beer options while we waited for the waitress to return with the dessert menu. When she returned I explained I was torn between the Truckee Blonde Reserve and the Base Camp Golden Ale. When offering me advice on my choice she stated The Truckee Blonde, one of my options, «tasted like Budweiser.» Why would you tell a patron of a microbrewery that your beer tastes like Bud? Did you think for a split second that would entice me? I opted for the Base Camp and my wife and I both chose a dessert each –chocolate for her and a Blackberry Peach Cobbler for myself. Much later(and a few apologies later) my beer arrived with what looked like frosting on top. The beer had so much head I had to take a double take to ensure it was foam and not frosting. I wish it had been frosting — maybe it would have improved the beer. Haha. That said, there was no saving the beer. 1 sip and I cast it aside. It was acrid and almost tasted like a cross between acidic juice and flat soda. I couldn’t place the flavor profile of my exact displeasure with the beer but even after trying a few more small sips I could not find a redeeming quality. I left it basically full at the end of my meal. The dessert was also a let down. Blackberry and peach sounded like a great combo. The problem lay in the cobbler topping. It was bitter and undercooked. When you ate just the filling with the ice cream it was great but once you add the cobbler topping(making it the cobbler I wanted) it was far too bitter. I paid far too much money for a few sips of beer and a few bites of dessert. Combo that with the less than standard customer service and I will happily avoid this spot in the future. Bummer too because the location would be great for me with all my winter weekends spent at Northstar. I’m just glad we didn’t risk entrees and only found disappointment in desserts and beer.
