Forget-Me-Not

Very hip and cute store in Downtown Truckee. I was jazzed to find this place one year while visiting on my birthday weekend. A lot of the stores and their merchandise are geared towards the «older» vacationer, so I really appreciate that this store exists.
On my last trip here I purchased a super cute purse for only $ 44! Beautiful teal big bag with braided handles.
While there are some things here that are a little overpriced, I can’t imagine a trip to Truckee without paying Forget-​Me-​Not a visit.
***Customer service does vary a lot depending on who is working, I’ll tell you that! Main reason they don’t get 5 stars.

Forget-​Me-​Not is a hip little boutique in downtown Truckee! I only visit Truckee once or twice a year to stay at my friend’s cabin, but whenever we are there we like to check out this shop. There are so many cute things that I always want to buy there, I always wish I brought more money!

Boutique-​like setting with quite an expansive inventory (for such a quaint little shop) spanning clothing, gifts, knick-​knacks, and odd little one-​of-​a-​kind treasures.
A great place for: «I wanna get (insert name of obscure favorite relative) something for (insert unusual celebration).»
Example: I wanna get great uncle Milfred something for National Talk like a Pirate Day.
Okay…maybe not THAT obscure. But you get the idea.
In general, it’s a cute little place full of those sorts of gifts you’d get for a house-​warming, a baby shower, a wedding, a birthday… generally female in nature. Plus, if you’re doin’ the «Lets’ browse around downtown truckee for an afternoon» it’s great window shopping.
