After a few days of boarding at Northstar and an overly soft mattress at the rental house, my lower back was no bueno. My usually effective Foundation back exercises were not helping. Fortunately I was able schedule 90 min with Gudren.
She is a very skilled, professional therapist — very very capable (not your typical body rubber). Her deep tissue skills were among the best I’ve experienced. As an Aikido Yudansha I am reasonably in tune with people’s energy — and Gudren’s energy and intent are special and healing. Top five sessions in my experience.

We had he come to our house and offer a massage for three of my friends. Every one of us really liked her. She was very professional but pleasant.
She is very familiar with the anatomy and it was a very strong massage.
My friend who has issues with her neck said it was one of her best massages she ever had.

If you’re a guy & you prefer male massage therapists because you think they’re stronger & more powerful with their hands, do not hesitate to give Gudrun a try! I told her to use as much pressure as she can, because that’s how I roll. I actually had to tell her to lighten up the pressure, which I NEVER do! Seriously — EVER! Gudrun was attentive, focusing on my problem areas & was completely professional and a delight to work with — I will definitely be back for more body work with this skilled & talented CMT!

As a high mileage trail runner, contruction worker and just plan old, Gudrun poweful touch has healed and rejuvenated me. She has a nonsense way of attacking the problem areas and knows by feel, perception and skill. When I am asked for a message recomendation she is the only one I say. She is that good. More importantly you deserve the best.

My experience with Gudrun has been very impressive, she has maid not only me feel better but she also does some work on my dog. both of us have have bad nerve pain to the point of not being able to walk! she always makes up able to walk again! I would say she has the hands of a medicine woman! she heals you in a magical way. It is very had to express with words how amazing she can make you feel. thank you for being on this earth to heal us!!! we love you and will always come to you!

Went to Gudrun for the first time yesterday. She did a fabulous job of assessing areas of tension (including some I hadn’t thought about) and working on it all in a strong way, just right — not too much, not too little. She has a good sense of physiology and an interest in healing and reducing pain; as a very active person I’m glad I’ve found her. I’ll be back!

This was perhaps the most beneficial massage I’ve ever had. I have a long standing and nagging shoulder injury that radiates to headaches and pain in the neck and chest. I booked with Gudrun while I was staying in Truckee for the week and after the session, I went the entire week with little shoulder pain and no headaches. I’ve had this shoulder worked on in the past but Gudrun really got into the deep tissue of muscles surrounding the injury and explained how tightness in one area can radiate and cause pain in another. She also recommended stretches I could do on my own to help ease the injury. The relief to my shoulder was noticeable throughout the week. Excellent session that I would absolutly recommend.

Since my Gudrun’s initial work on my Achilles I’ve improved nicely. Her followup was a very nice touch. She had additional suggestions. Bottom line she is very good at her profession. Many thanks Gudrun.

I went to Gudrun for a deep tissue 90 min massage and my 2 friends each got a 60 min swedish massage. We ALL loved her! One of the top 3 in my book for sure! My experience with Gudrun was unique because at the start of the massage (I’m on my stomach) she placed 2 rolled up towels under my shoulders. That automatically pushed my shoulders back gently instead of them hunching forward. That small detail made a world of difference! She also massages your jaw muscles and your booty which is niiiice. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. I will be coming back whenever I visit Truckee.

Gudrun was fabulous! She was very accommodating for me and a group of friends. We asked her to do a call out to our house which was great (esp since one of our friends has baby) and we didn’t have to worry about traveling etc.
She does great deep tissue and foot work. It was just what I needed after a number of days boarding. Can’t wait to book her for the next time I’m in the area!

Gudrun is awesome! I get a lot of shoulder and neck tension and suffer headaches. When it gets really bad, I go to Gudrun. She is so good I don’t even have to tell her where I hurt. She narrows right in and relieves my tense areas and I feel so much looser afterward and the headaches go away. She is easily the best massage therapist I have ever gone to, and actually does effective deep tissue work. There are too many folks out there who say they do deep tissue, but have no idea what they’re doing and how your body works. Gudrun really has studied to understand the muscles in your body so she knows how to unlock tense areas. I only wish I lived closer so that I could visit her more often!
