we go here about 2 – 3 times a month. freshly cooked with excellent veggies and generous portions makes this place a winner in our book.

Been here twice in two weeks and the food has been consistently dry don’t know if this is Becuase the food has been sitting out a while but personally I like my orange chicken with a lot of sauce on it like what is pictured on the panda website and on some menus inside of pandas. The first time I came I decided to not eat, the second time I showed the ladies what the food is supposed to look like on the panda website and they made it for me.

Long lines. Appears understaffed. Thus happened the last time I was here as well. Food is always consistently good. Hope they resolve the staffing issues

Great food, great price, and a very efficient staff. Krystal helped me and was very kind and made sure that my order was just right I wish we could find this service at every restaurant! I noticed that behind the counter things are very clean in the front line had great communication with the cooks in the back. I was very impressed and I’ll be back!

All fresh ingredients! Fun for my son to try the different and options and for me, too! Ten times better than any panda express I have been to before. The food did not have any chemical or Chinese food after taste! No MSG. Each option had a distinct flavor, not like some Chinese good places where it tastes like they cook all the food in the same wok. They were really patient and kind with us wanting to try the options(since I have maybe experienced panda express once), even though they were swamped and obviously a very busy location. They had plenty of fresh food and the flavors burst on my tongue! It was wonderful. Fun wonton, egg roll and potstickers, too! The price was right. I got a 3 item combo for 8.50! Great portions so I was able to save half for dinner. The food sat well in my tummy and gave me energy for sledding down the street! They have fortune cookies and the food is not greasy, either.

Dinner last night with Granddaughter. Fast, almost everything was great. Granddaughter thought shrimp was under done and gooey. They should monior that. But everything else great so not removing a star. I noticed they placed my one entrée order in a bowl with noodles. I requested a plate and they fixed it cheerfully. Clean also

The server was rude! There was no sauce on the orange chicken, walnut shrimp was soggy, and the Shanghai steak had wood like asparagus stalks. No paper in the bathroom when we asked for paper the server rolled her eyes and said«there is a dryer«. I told her toilet paper!!!

We stopped in for some lunch and were pleasantly surprised by this location. Sarah greeted us right away even as she was working. She offered us a sample and took our order. We were already impressed with the clean location but were even happier as we ate our food. I had ordered the mushroom chicken. The zucchini was perfect not soggy and it was 3pm. As I’m nom nom noming, Sarah comes by to check on us. She didn’t have to do that. I don’t think she stopped moving even once. She’s great, one of those gems a company should be thrilled to have on their team.

Friendly staff, best value in Truckee for something quick. Love the fire cracker chicken. To bad it’s not on the menu permanently.

Great food but the guy gives better portions than the ladies do there… and they hide the sauces now so you have to ask.

I am usually fan of Panda. Sure it isn’t gourmet or anything close, but it is a wonderful alternative to the other fast food. However, this location in Truckee is not one of the best. The place is clean and nice looking, but the food is not up to par with other Panda Expresses. The Chow Mein was bland(somewhat burned), the portion sizes were smaller than other stores(though based on the flavor, not to depressed about that). One positive is that they made the beef and broccoli with the angus steak by mistake and it was darn good. Overall, I’ll skip the place next time.

The music is too loud and the workers English is not the best and they are soft spoken, so when you order your food and they say«were out of — – , it will take 10 minutes to cook,» you stand there wondering what is going on and wondering what your waiting for, because YOUCAN’T HEARWHATTHEY’RESAYING. Turn down the music and speak up. And move the menu to where it actually FACESTHECUSTOMER. That might help. Food is good.

Used to crave this all the time. Panda is pretty ‘meh’ as far as chinese style cuisine, but you know what, at least this one isn’t dirty like others I’ve seen before. Good service, and the place gets a line to the door sometimes — not sure why, but it’s always busy when i’ve been. Not a bad job for a Panda Express. I usually wouldn’t even give more than 3 stars to a fast food joint.

I was in the area for business and found this place for lunch and was extremely satisfied with what I ordered. There is nothing special about this location vs. the others in the chain. So if you like Panda Express, you will like this place as well.

I recently moved up to Truckee full time and miss my neighborhood Chinese restaurant in the bay area. I almost never actually GET chinese food but I always knew I could when I really, really, craved it. But not so much up here(but I wouldn’t live anywhere else for anything!!!) So…I was DYING for chinese yesterday after a big hike(I know… seems kinda counter productive…) so bit the bullet and tried Panda Express. Believe it or not, I’ve never been to a Panda Express before even though I see them popping up everywhere. I do recall getting an orange chicken sample at the mall food court waaaay back when that’s the only place they were located. I really liked my food. I am a BIG believer in Americanized white person Chinese food. Only Chinese I like really. And the most awesome thing is they have nutritional data on all of the food(and their website) so, while it’s not like eating at home and measuring out your ingredients, you do have a general idea of how bad you are being. BIGFAN! I bought mine to go but a quick scan when I walked in showed it was a clean place(not always true at Chinese restaurants. Go chain quality control!) and the cashier was extremely friendly and quick. I will be back. It’s actually bad that I liked it so much ;)

Fresh food, good service and clean. Priced right and a nice selection of spicy or not not spicy mains.

Thank you for staying open in the middle of a snowstorm! I have never been grateful for common Chinese-American dishes. I am amazed at how food quality is so consistent across the Panda chain.

It’s panda express. It’s(kinda) cheap, chinese fast food. When you’re hungry for chinese that you just KNOW isn’t going to be very good for you but have that craving — this is the place. This Panda Express in Truckee is very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful(my daughter lost her phone here and the staff helped her look for it). One thing to note if you order the kids meals it comes with as much low mein as a normal meal and just one entrée. Great for kids OR adults that don’t eat a lot as you’ll save some $$$.

You know what you’re getting. Consistent… always. Definitely a go-to spot when I can’t figure out what to eat or there’s nothing too interesting around.
