This Taco Bell is in a convenient location off the typical beaten path of downtown or uptown Truckee. It’s located with easy freeway access both east and westbound from Interstate 80 on the west end of town.
The restaurant is always clean, bathrooms are also clean, the staff are always pleasant and friendly. Ample parking and an upbeat nice looking building.
I’m going to get into the food, it’s a Taco Bell, so you know what you’re getting when you walk in the door. If you’re looking for the convenience of fast food in Truckee that is also in a convenient easily accessible location give them a shot.

Don’t be fooled by its old fashioned appearance, this taco bell was both clean and original. While the food may have taken longer than average for taco bell it definitely made up for It in quality. One of the freshest meals I’ve ever had at taco bell, best choice of fast food for the area.

I avoid fast food like the plague, but when you’re pulling into truckee at 9pm there are only so many choices that won’t take an hour. My fallback fast food has always been the taco bell tostada, because it doesn’t contain mystery meat. And in general, taco bell is taco bell, but my stop at this one was different.
There were only two cars ahead of me, but it still took A HALF HOUR to get my food. And the tostadas were ridiculous — a cold, hockey-puck-shaped clump of beans that had crushed the corn tortilla below.
This taco bell clearly stands out from the rest. Maybe you will have better luck, but i won’t be back.

The food is good, it’s Taco Bell!
Buuuut, fast food is fast food and is supposed to be fast. I completely agree with the other reviewer that this is literally the slowest Taco Bell I have been to, I would even venture that this is the slowest fast food place I’ve driven through ever.
So if you have a craving to Taco Bell, make sure you have the time to wait wait wait.

Fast food should be fast. This is by far the slowest Taco Bell I have ever been to.
Came here once after skiing, it took 25 minutes to get two quesadillas, two bean burritos and three tacos, it was 3:45 on a Saturday, there was no one in the drive through and only two other people In the restaurant.
The second time I attempted to get some food at 10:30 PM on a Thursday night and they were CLOSED! I know it is truckee and all, but you can’t even stay open until 11PM? Wtf!
Third time was the following day because I was unable to get my Taco Bell fix because of their lack of serving food after 10PM. This time I choose the drive thru at 1:30PM, there was one other car In the drive thru, it took 13 minutes to get our food.
I think this Taco Bell has a good opportunity of being a great fast food establishment, but if u want to master the fast food industry, you should first master the art of proving food at a «fast» pace… Step it up Taco Bell. My 96 grandmother can make me a quesadilla faster.

We always stop at this Taco Bell on the way to and from Reno. Just went there the other day and the food was awesome! Tried the Doritos Taco and wasn’t disappointed. Employees are nice and the place is clean, just like the previous reviewer mentioned.

Everyone loves Taco Bell. So anything less the a 4star rating would have to come from a bad experience but that will not apply at this location. The service is quick, the inside is clean, and the employees are friendly. Can’t ask for much more.

Taco Smell! Typical spot right next to a Chevron, so easy to grab a bite after pit stopping for fuel to and from Tahoe. The food is exactly as you would expect it, so don’t expect the world but do expect tasty cheap eats that kill you from the inside out. the only gripe about this place is that the parking lot is odd and the drive through even odder!
Other than that the help here is funny, my friend messed with the person working the drive through, but the girl was super cool and laid back about the joke. So hats off to her because I’m quite sure our food was spit free!
