Love Franco Gianni’s! It’s a hometown staple ever since growing up and having family dinners back in the 80’s to Trumbull United pizza parties back in the 90’s. If you love seafood and pizza, try their Seafood Delight! This pizza became a «birthday tradition» for us; and now that we’ve all grown up and moved to NYC, whenever we’re back, we grab a pie of the Seafood Delight! Even my friends and husband who grew up on NY pizza love their pie and will request one whenever we’re in town. The food and service are great which gives you a cozy hometown vibe!

We think this is great pizza. When ever my family is in the mood for a pepperoni pizza we make the trip. Best pizza in Trumbull or Bridgeport.

Not sure if it’s due to the renovations going on or personnel changes but this place has really gone down hill. Dine in once in a while but take-out every year for Christmas Eve. While always busy around the holidays… never had any disasters like this year. Along with about 10 other folks picking up large amounts of food… nothing was ready… no apologies(except for the poor kid at the counter)…no discounts… no explanation. While it was o.k. for me to wait a half-hour, a number of folks who were having large parties were terribly inconvenienced. Some even over charged with no sufficient management apologies or explanations. While you’re going to wait no matter where you go on Christmas Eve., this was totally unprofessional and unacceptable. STAYAWAY… especially if you’re in a hurry. Lots of better options out there.

Been having their chicken parm grinders(take-out) since I was a kid and I love their pizza. The best place to eat in Trumbull so definitely try it if you are in the area.

I’ve always been a fan of the chicken parm, eggplant parm and the pizza at Francos. Disappointing that they would tell a customer they are too busy to take a credit card over the phone and actually turned away a large order as a result. It didn’t matter to them that I was a repeat customer and was having someone else pick up the order for me. Actually left me on hold to ask about taking a credit card when they could have spent the time just accommodating a customer. Also disappointing that in this day in age, they only have iceberg lettuce. Customer service goes a long way in my book so I won’t be back to Francos anytime soon. I will not support a business who is «too busy» to help their customers.

Eh. The pizza was fine but lacked an intense taste. I called an ordered an eggplant, tomato and garlic pizza. Got home and found that I had a clam, tomato, and garlic pizza. I could say that they were very accommodating and were happy to exchange the pizza. They said to keep the clam pizza which I thought was nice of them and they had the correct pizza ready within 20 minutes. I tried the clam pizza and was, similar to the eggplant pizza, void of any real intense taste. The crust was good, the pie was cooked perfectly, but I couldn’t understand what it was missing. Just not very flavorful. Excellent customer service Excellent timing Very good crust Average at best flavor I am torn on this review, as everything was very good but I was expecting more from a Connecticut pizza.

Go to pizza for us in Trumbull. I have only ever eaten there once and the service was slow, take out is easy and fast. The pizza is amazing. You can also buy their sauce for homemade pies.

Been going here since I moved to Trumbull. Best sauce around! I don even bother to make sauce anymore– I just buy a couple of quarts of theirs. Very reasonably priced. Staff makes you feel like family:) Love Franco’s!!!

Not from the area but THIS was very good. We had veal parm, shrimp scampi & stuffed shells; all excellent. Décor is very«homely» but for the food? Who cares.

OK! So I’ve given Franco Gianni’s numerous chances to give me something that I would go back for. The reason I was so generous in chances was because it’s convenient to my house. NOMORE!!! The pizza is OK for CT pizza, I don’t hold that against them. I’ve ordered pasta with meat sauce and it reminded me of of chili on top of noodles I’ve ordered all of their parm sandwiches and every single one lacks any flavor and is like eating a sloppy joe(that messy) please please please like Columbus discovered America, Franco Gianni’s needs to discover salt at the very least. Now… Clams casino pizza! I know you use canned clams and I don’t care as long as it tastes good. Kind of like McDonalds on my busy days I know its crap ingredients but on a Monday ten years from now it will still be consistent in flavor. I ordered the pizza and the only flavor I got was raw garlic. Not a good way to treat your most expensive pie! Just remembered. Don’t order onions on your pie unless you like raw onions and then if you asked for sauteed onions expect your pizza to be Burnt. Lastly. They are so rude I mean I get the whole«I’m Italian» thing but seriously… Your rude!!! Both front of house and the kitchen. I asked for some extra sauce and I heard the guy in the kitchen talking well above his pay grade. And it wasn’t just once. Sorry if I would like a little crushed red pepper or some Parmesan cheese on the side. Bottom line. I would rather drive 15 – 20 for good pizza and Italian food then the two minute commute to Franco Gianni’s. And I almost forgot. If you call an order in be sure to make sure they got it. Very often sausage and pepperoni becomes sausage and peppers for example. I remember waiting for my order on my way home and 3 people in a row had their orders botched. Needless to say I double triple checked mine. I wouldn’t eat there for free. Maybe you will change and improve or maybe you will just be «Italian»

The tiny shop defiantly has the home feel, which I loved! When we went for carry out it was packed, which was a great sign! At first glance, our medium pepperoni was great! But once we ate, it was SOOOOGREASY and lacked flavor. There was no seasoning and it was SWIMMING in grease! I understand, cheese, pepperoni… there will be grease! But this was an insane amount! Needless to say we both ended up with terrible stomach aches and didn’t even finish out slices. We don’t plan on ordering from Franco Gianni’s anytime soon.

Their pizza’s delicious, featuring a wonderful sauce. The atmosphere, moreover, is cozy and welcoming; indeed, we were treated like family. We’re looking forward to trying their other dishes.

We come here all the time, probably too frequently actually. Don’t let the small size and remote location of this restaurant put you off. Everything here is delicious. My favorite thing to get is the pizza with hot cherry peppers. My husband who is a very picky eater also raves about the pizzas here. When you take out, the m quality is as good as when you eat in.

This is my husband’s favorite pizza so far.(Have not been to Pepe’s yet!). Good. NY style crust. Pepperoni is a little greasy but that’s typical for pepperoni. It’s good.

I found this restaurant on here when I was looking for somewhere to eat relatively close to Trumbull off Route 111. I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. This place is a tiny Italian restaurant off of Route 111 near the Trumbull border. Attached next door is Luigi’s Bakery which I am sure is run by the same people. Inside could use major updating, but the food here has always been pretty good. My Italian staple food is chicken parm and I was not let down. HUGE thin chicken breast, side of pasta and a side salad comes with your entrée. The pizza here is pretty good here too.

While the food here is typically very good, the last time we had takeout one of the chicken dinners was inedible, as if the chicken was old. We have not been back since, as there are a wide assortment of restaurants in the area offering similar fare where we have not had an issue, and the others offer delivery while Franco Gianni’s does not. The restaurant itself is way way overdue for an update, and is very small with a tiny wine list in a uninviting atmosphere with no waiting area or bar. I wish they would spruce up the place and offer delivery service. I’m sure we will be back eventually and hope our experience was a one-time event.

Best pizza in Trumbull by a mile. I order traditional thin and often the Sicilian square. Sauce is great, not acid, not salty just clean garlicky tomatoes, they use lots of mozzarella which I love and just the right amount of olive oil. Great cheese pizza. Be warned though, don’t order the margherita pizza, they don’t know how to make it and you’ll end up paying more money for a regular cheese pie that they pop on some thin sliced uncooked tomatoes and four pieces of burned basil. Also, had problems with a vegetarian pie, they put uncooked topping on after pizza was cooked, who does that. They didn’t mess up the pepperoni pie, that was great. I don’t care for their calzone, all mozzarella very thick crust. Also tried eggplant parmigiana grinder, tasteless. Will not order again. They get four stars from me just for the cheese pizza.
