UPDATE: After writing this review, Park Lane’s SVP Scott sent me an email minutes later to apologize for the issues that we had, and gave me his direct # to contact him to remedy the situation. After speaking with Scott I must say that he went above and beyond any expectations that I have had from this experience and will be returning to Park Lane this weekend to see if there is an alternative to the bed I had originally selected. He even went as far as sending me a list of specific beds that I might find suitable as a replacement and which he assured me can be fit into our narrow stairway. Thank you Scott for making me a believer again in Customer Service! I actually signed up to Unilocal in order to write this review. I had gone to Park Lane and bought 3 mattresses to move into my new home in Portland. When making the purchase the day of our move was not available so we needed to get two of the three mattresses(the cheaper two) delivered the Friday before so that we would have somewhere to sleep. We signed up for a morning delivery for the 1st set on 6⁄28 and the morning for the king size mattress on 7⁄2. Quick aside when purchasing the king size mattress $ 2k plus we had informed the sales person that the entrance to the master bedroom was a bit small and may not fit the mattress but we had a ladder and it could be carried up the 10 feet through a door on the upstairs balcony. After being assured this wasn’t going to be an issue we paid and left the store. 6.28 — The day before our first delivery was to take place we get a call that the delivery has been scheduled between 3PM and 5PM… Hmm to me that does not sound like a morning delivery to me, but we needed a place to sleep so we rearrange our schedule so we can meet them at the house. On the day of delivery we receive a call in teh afternoon telling us now they are running late and won’t be there until 5:30PM. Without a child this wouldn’t have been nearly as inconvenient but trying to schedule around him proved to be a bit flustering. At around 5PM we receive a call that they have hit a snap and will not be there until the 7 to 7:30PM timeframe so now we need to rearrange again and head back to the hotel. About 3 minutes from getting back to the hotel we get a call from them again saying no wait we will be there in 28 minutes. So we turn around and make the 20 minute drive back to the house where we proceed to wait an additional 45 minutes for them to show up. Overall, pretty terrible customer service. 7.2 The day before we again receive a phone call saying that the delivery will be between 1−3…Again not sure what schedule they use but I don’t think of 1 – 3 as the morning I think of it as my child’s naptime, but I digress. So, our mattress people arrive again and bring the bed in the house to say it won’t fit in the doorway to our master bedroom… Thanks for the information as we had informed you of that possibility ahead of time. They also can’t bend the mattress as that would void the warranty and then refuse to take the mattress through the upstiars patio entrance. So now I have to return this mattress and they tell me no problem you can just exchange it for a different one that we can fit. HOWISTHATHELPFUL? We spent a long time looking at mattresses before we mutually agreed upon one so why would we be willing to just exchange it for something else? So now we are stuck with the two mattresses that we were able to make a deal on the 3rd one with and have to go out and buy another mattress… I can assure you it won’t be from Park Lane. This was based on experience in Portland

Great service, great mattresses. Micah was a big help. No pressure. She explained the different mattresses and encouraged trying all of them. The prices are very reasonable considering they are basically made to order. Much cheaper than Macy’s and much higher quality. Love that they are environmentally friendly.

I purchased my first mattress at Parklane last Saturday, September 1, 2012. My wife suggested we look there first as they are very close to our residence and are a manufacturer selling what they make. We read reviews of Parklane before going. The reviews we read said we wouldn’t face the same kind of sales gimicks we would at a typical mattress store and the prices for a good quality product were lower. All this came true in our experience at the location in Tualatin. This location has a small unassuming showroom area in the manufacturing facility. They have enough selection for most all buyer’s preferences/tastes. The sales rep provided factual information about each mattress we looked at helping us make an informed decision suited to our preferences/needs. At no time did he attempt typical sales gimmicks or pressure. The price we paid for a queen size mattress without a box spring base was $ 719. We felt this was fair and likely less than what we would pay elsewhere. Parklane has products for all budgets as well. Each mattress has a sign sitting on it giving a brief but clear explanation of what’s inside. The sales rep was available for all questions and did not attempt to steer or hurry us in anywyay. At age 62 I have a lot of buying experience including buying mattresses. I tend to be a discriminating customer. Therefore I don’t give recommendations easily. I can honestly say this was the best experience purchasing a mattress I have had thus far. I recommend to anyone wanting to purchase a bed, do your online research for the kind of mattress you want then go to Parklane. You will save a lot of time and probably money buying from them. The delivery of the mattress and removal of my old one went exactly according to schedule. The inhouse delivery coordinator was totally professional as were the two gentlemen delivering the new mattress and removing the old one. All things considered I rate Parklane an A.

Our experience buying a mattress from Parklane was as comfortable as the mattress itself. No pressure, no sleazy sales folks, and very reasonable prices. We shared our sleep habits and were pointed to 3 possible beds — honestly I couldn’t really tell much difference between them all, except for the price. We ended up with a $ 400 mattress/box spring set, and they called the next day to set up delivery. When they arrived, they brought it in, moved our old mattress to the guest room(where it will now live), and set up the new one in our existing bed frame. Pleasant folks to deal with all the way through. You’ll sleep great knowing you got a great deal on a quality product.

Good price mattresses and they are made here locally. If they can sell these mattresses for under $ 1,000 then why are other places over $ 2,000 for the same thing? There is no haggling over the price because it is already the lowest price around. I think you can get them to take a couple bones off of things like covers and such though. Good customer service.

i’m an online customer – they shipped me a soma mattress in maine. you almost never get price, quality AND service, usually just two out of three – parklane really did deliver all three. i love my new mattress, the price was very competitive for a natural latex/organic cotton bed, and they went above and beyond to work out a shipping issue.

Not to repeat too much of what others have said; but in all honesty – I strongly encourage anyone currently in the market for a mattress to visit the name brand shops first before coming here. Namely because you’ll be able to figure out what features you want and like the most and because you’ll truly be surprised at the price difference between high-markup places such as SleepCountry USA and BedMart and this place. I absolutely REFUSED to pay over 400.00 for a mattress as being in the upholstery business, I KNOW that materials and labor don’t cost nearly as much as other stores claim. ParkLane makes the mattresses in-house(in Tualatin) and they don’t have slimy pushy salespeople. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you Parklane!

Why do people always compare mattress dealers with used car salesmen? Never once have I heard anyone ask: «How can I get YOU into this bed today?» Excuse me while I propose a new slogan for the mattress industry. With ParkLane, you won’t have to keep your guard up for gimmicks. The company earns its five stars through amazing prices, exceptional service, and mattress quality. I would highly recommend visiting another chain just to see how badly other stores are ripping you off. The beds at this location have all the features most sales reps love to fluff. These include Intersping coils, memory foam, latex, and pillow tops. All of these can be found for only a fraction of comparable chain store models. When all was said and done, we came home with two mattresses(one latex topped, and one with built in memory foam) for less than $ 299 per bed. The two ladies I mentioned earlier were very patient and explained each feature carefully to ensure we’ll receive the best rest possible rest. The 30 day exchange policy was also quite a relief. If you decide to steal my slogan and use it at the bar, I would highly recommend the stain-guard upgrade. The benefit is self-evident.

I hate the used car feeling I get from most mattress sellers. I was at Trader Joe’s in Lake O and decided to check out Parklane. It was great! We discussed my sleeping habits et al and I tried out their mattresses. I very much appreciated that the price is the price and there is no haggling. I received a good education as to their business model and how their mattresses are constructed. I decided to «sleep on» my decision that night. The next day, I visited their Tualatin location as it’s really close to my work. Tried out the bed I liked the day prior and still really liked it. Was also able to see the mattresses being constructed — a very clean operation. I liked that there were no chemical smells and everything seemed on the up and up. Purchased my mattress, am confident I got a great value for my money. My particular set was $ 999 with the low-profile boxspring and it is worth every penny! I was giving my old bed to a friend so I rented a truck from Enterprise to get this one home and deliver the other — very inexpensive. The bed wasn’t in stock but was made to order and ready within two days! I am very happy with my purchase and Parklane in general. Have recommended them to others already.

It’s been a long time since I bought a mattress, but I wanted a good one this time. I dd some research and knew that I really wanted to avoid sleepcountry, mattress world companies with similar business models. I talked to a friend who owns a furniture store and he told me that everyone is selling the same product, and I’d need to spend a minimum of $ 500 to get anything decent. I came across some reviews here on Unilocal, and this seemed like exactly the type of place I wanted to take my business. They have stores in Clackamas and LO, but don’t really keep anything in stock, mattress are built to order. I needed one immediately, so I went to the factory store in Tualatin. Most of their models are displayed, all prices are posted, and signs clearly indicate the difference in features. No sales pressure at all, when I was there the one guy working was just trying to keep up with the orders. I bought a super comfy full mattress(Cherry Hills model) for $ 279, and a twin set for one of my kids for $ 119. I walked away totally satisfied, and think I got a great deal–

Went to Parklane today due to their hilarious ad campaigns. The price is unbelievable for the quality. The salesperson helping me was so relaxed and knew her product line! Turned out she was one of the owners of the company. What a gem. I think this company store is a great find for mattress shoppers!

After shopping around for a new mattress we tired from all the misleading facts and contradictory information provided by mattress dealers such as: BedMart, SleepCountry, and Mattress World. These were all slime-ball mattress dealers that looked like car lots with cheap balloons. Everyone was trying to outbid each other using hard sale tactics and wavering negotiations. My boyfriend and I tried doing research on our own and were completely sickened by how unregulated the mattress industry seemed and how difficult it was to find facts about mattresses. We finally took refuge from all the mattress dealerships and went to Park Lane Mattress where there are no fancy balloons or negotiations. Just a warehouse run by a husband and wife selling to the public at wholesale prices. It was great. The mattress are made right on site and the owners know where all their material comes from. They use local and organic material for some of their mattress lines. I loved that I could get a «green» bed for a reasonable price! All their mattresses are so comfortable and there is no hard-balling it’s good honest people selling awesome mattresses locally made!
