ACE is the place. It’s great to walk into a hardware store and have someone ask what you need, walk you there, and explain the options, all without feeling like the newb DIYer you really are.

I really like this store. I’d much rather shop here than HD or Lowes. Parking is easier, employees are helpful, selection is good and the store is a decent size. Good location too, almost a part of the UofA without the hassle.

Love this Ace Hardware. I come here all the time for various screws, nails, tools, and how can I forget my beloved Ball canning jars? Employees here are so nice, and since it’s the christmas season the place is even more charming with all the various decorations.

I stopped in at my «neighborhood» Ace on Saturday to pick up spray paint for a project I was working on. It was my first time in the store and while i was impressed with the store itself the staff working in the store were rude to both my husband and son but the real kicker was the cashier, when we got up to pay for our multiple spray paints she gave us a look over like we were criminals. I mistakenly thought she didn’t see all of our cans, boy she was let us know SHE KNEW about our multiple cans of spray paint. I will never go to this Ace again and would rather travel across town to Lowry’s Hardware then waste another dime of my hard earned $$ in a place that doesn’ t value my business or my feelings.

Anyone have an idea on how local these guys are? I mean I know they have to adhere to certain corporate standards to carry the Ace name, but I always feel like it’s so general store mom & pop-​y inside that I forget I’m shopping a national retailer. Quick, someone look into that for me?
This just in, lightbulbs as we know it are cha cha changing. There was a cool printout at this store that explained the change, talked about which bulbs are no longer being manufactured, and suggested new bulbs to get a jump start on the switch. These new eco friendly finds will cost a pretty penny (5 – 6 bucks depending on brand) per bulb, but they last for 5 years and are much more earth friendly. I’m glad they light bulb aisle had this info for me to peruse. I still bought the stand, because my four pack was as much as one of the newbs, but I’m excited to get on the mother earth train when stores no longer carry the ones we know and love.
PS: Free popcorn FTW!

Ok, So I know I just did a review of the Campbell Ace, but this one is my «go to» location, its just down the street. The building is very cool looking, think retro Ace. They have 99% of what I need. The only thing they dont have is my 14×25×2 air filter, but pretty much NO one in tucson does.
Service is great. Im usually asked if I need help within 60 second of being in the store, and if not, the first person I run into always helps me.
I try and ride my bike here (pending what I need to buy) because parking is very limited, Under 10 spots in their ‘lot’. But there is usually parking on the street. That would be the only con.

This is the place to go for basically any home project. Nice sized store with the most knowledgable staff around. It’s like stepping back in time to that hardware store your Grandpa always reminisced about. When I had questions that the employee wasn’t positive how to correctly answer, they actually admitted it and found the person who knew the answer. Great service cannot be over-​emphasized! They even have fresh-​popped popcorn. Forget the energy-​sucking labyrinth that is Home Despot and just head to this Ace.

These guys are great!
I know I have a big bad rep of disliking a lot about Tucson, but please check these guys out! The staff here are well trained and totally helpful! They are very good sports regarding returns! They will help you get prepared for your projects and you will get it done right!
