This place has a great homey feel. My friend and I went to do some wine tasting and we were very pleased with the first flights we ordered, as well as the cheese and bread plate. However, we went to order a third flight to share(this time we wanted to chose outselves rather than having the waitress pick) and almost every wine we wanted to try was out of stock. We ended up picking ones we weren’t sure of and they just weren’t enjoyable. Also, the sign outside said happy hour was 3 – 6, and so did the menu. Unfortunately our waitress said both were wrong and the happy hour was 4 – 6. Kindly, she honored the happy hour for the half price apps, but the information advertised is misleading. She also mentioned the whole menu was wrong. If they could fix these simple things our experience would have been much more enjoyable.

I went in the other day to find out they are trying to be a full bar and not the boutique shop they once were. The prices are still outrageous for the only good wine on the menu. The new staff members simply don’t know what they are doing. In addition to that, what is going on in the area immediately to the right of the door? it looks like storage, very tacky. I will never take bussiness clients here EVER again!

A really confortable and relaxed atmosphere and great service! They have nice beer selection and great wine ! I’m making this place my «drink after work» hangout :-)

I visited and liked this place when it was on Sunrise and Swan. I hope they do well in their new location on University; I wouldn’t think it’d be very successful with the college crowd. I visited with a friend during happy hour on a Saturday. It was pretty quiet, with a group of four next to us and another couple outside. I like the atmosphere, and the couch seating is very comfortable, not sure about the bar or the long tables in the center. They have a good variety. I had a hard time deciding what to get. I am a dry, bold red drinker, and my friend tends to like whites and sweet wines. They had both. My favorite was the Flat Bed Red. Tastings are $ 10($ 15 for reserve), and the fee is comped if you purchase a bottle(most bottles were around $ 20 – 30; reserves were as much as $ 75). They had a good rotation of craft beer too, very seasonal and some local as well. I noticed they also have spirits and whiskey tastings, but I was more interested in wine. We didn’t order any food, but their platters looked good. The service was decent. Our server was a little slow at first, which we thought was unusual because it wasn’t busy, but he was more attentive as our visit went on and offered us some bar snack mix, which was a nice touch. I would definitely return.

Try their chili wine! Fun for a wine flight and although the servers don’t seem to know anything about wine, they’ll change out something you don’t like with a smile(and google wines they don’t know about for you). Went thinking we’d have dinner and flights after trying their chili wine at a special tasting(try it, buy it, so amazing!), there isn’t really food there other than meat/cheese plate and oil/vinegar tastings(would love to buy samples, quite overpriced). I hope they find a new location and go back to something like their original location with a restaurant as I haven’t been able to buy their wine anywhere else and some of it is awesome(owner was helpful when there for buying multiple bottles). I agree with another reviewer that although it’s downtown, the location is awful as it’s difficult to find tucked away behind other restaurants — also makes it nice and quiet(at least during finals week).

That location is terrible, and when we walked in, the place just seemed like the owner did not know how to run a bar. The bartender was a little insulting when someone was not able to find a drink they liked. We can take a sense of humor, but it was just not well delivered. At 9PM, lights do not need to be full blast, that I feel I am in a TA study session.

Great location, no scratch that, fantastic location. Within seconds of campus, no fratty mommy and daddy’s money kids, clean. However, staff knowledge is lacking. Do you really want a 19 year old who can’t legally even drink wine serving you(Trevor)? Prices need to come down as well Rick. Your Sangio is not worth $ 15 a glass. I can get better quality and more knowledge at Pasco or Wilko.

This place is awesome. It’s ok for beer, but it’s really catered to the wine crowd(which changes often). It even home brews its own Mead which is awesome. It’s still brand new but it’s super quiet and all the furniture and décor is modern. If you like craft beer or wine tasting, I say give it a shot at least!

Way too bright inside. Bartenders are not very knowledgable on wines. Wine flight had nothing even remotely drinkable. It won’t last.

This is a wonderful find right on University Drive a block from U of A’s front gate. Great wine and beer selections, fun and inexpensive flights of wine and beer, great happy hour prices, cozy décor. Trevor and Alex were excellent bartenders, very engaging. We bought a flight and several bottles, as did our friends from out of town. Can’t wait to come back!

Super friendly staff. Great location right in University drive. They have pretty good beer selection on tap as well. You can also do a wine flight as well. Nice place to chill and hangout with friends!
