Definitely one of my all time favorite sandwich places. The selection of sandwiches and salads is fantastic – there is something for everyone! The service is wonderful and extremely fast, making the whole experience really memorable.

Sad sandwiches — which for me EVERYVISIT are mostly ALL thick-slice bread — a bare minimal sliver of lettuce, a sheer-bare slice of tomato. Good bread. Good gazpacho. Last visit for gazpacho, the very young girl didn’t care about what I was asking & ordering — — seemingly disinterested. She had to ‘void’ the order TWICE until my fellow dining companion helped me clarify what I was POINTING at on their menu. PAYATTENTIONTOTHECUSTOMER!

This is my spot in Tucson for fresh bread, amazing sandwiches, and desserts! For a limited time right now they have the Tito’s Torta which will ruin you for every sandwich you eat in the future, it’s that good. The crispy Torta bread is what makes that sandwich. For dessert you have to get any of their pies or the chocolate bombs. The pecan pie is my favorite, who knew there are pecan tree farms all over Arizona? The chocolate bomb is like a little bite size truffle that you will have to exercise some serious self control and not get like 10 of them once you try them… not that I have done that! It’s taken a while to find a worthy sandwich place in Tucson since the move but I’ve finally found it.

The sandwiches here are excellent. My favorite is the Saturday special– Ernie’s Everything Reuben. I just wish you could order it on other days of the week! The everything pretzel bread may be the best part. The chicken salad sandwiches are also quite good. The only let down has been the chocolate babka which they bake on Fridays. I haven’t tried any other desserts, but I may just stick to the salads and sandwiches which have always been consistently good.

Usually love Beyond Bread, have had many of the other sandwiches and salads many times, always delicious. Do not order the grilled cheese if you’re expecting soft melted cheese in the center. Hard rubbery broiled cheese, each half burnt separately and then pressed together to resemble a grilled cheese sandwich from the outside. Soup was delicious.

It has a modern rustic theme. The service is good and very well staffed. The menu had a nice touch with little icons informing guest the bread is tough and ect. I had the Max Muffalotta. It was a good balance of flavor. There was a olive spread which have it a nice tart tang and artichoke heart adding a little more tartness to the sandwich. All the breads are baked in house.

My husband ordered the grilled cheese and it was great. I ordered the stans sandwich and it was just ok. Normally I would have gone up and asked for more sauce because it was so dry I had a hard time at it. I did feel satisfied with half and I wanted a less heavier soup to have with it but being it so hot here now I could not see myself eating beef chili. I just wanted something lighter. i took the chips and brought them home. The sprouts were not as expected and very loose and they almost choked me.

Best place to get a sandwich on homemade bread that I am aware of. The baked goods are excellent as well with a good variety. Service is excellent every time! Great place to eat for the money! Atmosphere is either bistro or coffeehouse in nature, but they do serve beer here, not sure about wine. LOVELOVELOVE their Reuben! Made right; reminded me of the ones I used to get back on the East Coast!

The menu is very busy and difficult to breakdown and the people that work here are no help especially the cashier girl. The server was cool. Not a good experience any time I’ve been here.

We came right after Church with plans to have breakfast. We were so disappointed that they cut off breakfast at 11:00 and there is no flexibility. We arrived a few minutes after 11:00. We ordered sandwiches and soup. It was very good but our hearts were set on breakfast. We could have gone elsewhere but everything was packed because it was Mother’s Day.

The salad looks good, but there are few actual«greens» and most of the salad is just iceberg lettuce– which has the least nutritional value. My friend and I were visiting from out of town and we were both disappointed. One employee came up and asked how our meal was, my friend explained her disappointment, and the gentleman didn’t even look at me for feedback. Very rude. I will not be back and will not recommend.

The service: Despite being incredibly busy, our order was taken very quickly and professionally. I ordered a hot sandwich and my wife ordered a cold one, the order took around 5 minutes to prep and was brought directly to our outside table. The place seemed clean and they quickly disposed of previous customer’s trash. The food: We were both happy with the size and quality of our sandwiches. Their restaurant branded kettle chips were pretty good. My wife had a pasta salad that was mediocre but you can’t expect much from pasta salad. The meat in the sandwiches were very good quality. I don’t like pumpernickel, and my sandwich came with that as the bread, and I didn’t read that on the menu. This was entirely my fault but the rest of the sandwich was very good. We will come back for sure!

Ok today is Saturday around 2:00 pm my little Brother is out here from New Jersey where the bakeries are amazing and today he is going back home. Well I wanted him to try the carrot cake from here I order whole cakes every holiday and I come in quite often. Anyways I wanted to take some home and wanted him to try but unfortunately the cashier said they were no longer cutting slices of carrot cake for the day, I thought this was a joke ! There was a whole cake in the case just sitting there for sale but I could not buy a slice. So it’s like going to the bakery and not being able to buy what you would like ! So why be open ! If u can’t sell it ! I guess this company dosent care or need my money they are just to big ! And to top it off every time I go in they never thanked me for coming in and they’re never appreciative!

I have had the pleasure of having a breakfast sandwich from there and a lunch sandwich. First off the sandwiches are huge! I recommend getting the half. Get the whole #1 if you are SUPER hungry #2 you have a person to share with or #3 to eat the other half later. The breakfast sandwich was ham, egg, mater, cheese and it was sooo good. The bread and everything in between hit the spot. But like i saud, very filling, which is not a complaint. Happy to have two meals in one :) The lunch sandwich had avo, sprouts, turkey, mater and it was legit. I didn’t even have the mayo, it stood on its own without the mayo. This sandwich was served on cibatta and i really wanted to jam a whole loaf of that stuff down my throat but i refrained. I highly recommended this place. You get a lot of food for the money and that’s perfect for me! The End.

Today 4 stars. Usually 3. Had their sandwich special. Chicken with chipotle sauce in a pretzel bread. I did have some apprehension about this because I have had their pretzels before and found it way too buttery. Almost impossible to eat. Ok. Impossible. I would not order a pretzel again. However used for the sandwich was perfect. Very simple and very tasty. This place is usually clean. Bread usually fresh. I often get their vanilla custard fruit tart. Although I enjoy the tart, I do find the shell a little hard. I wish it was a little flakier. But alas I will continue to get the tart anyway. Coffee is usually fresh and good.

Went to Beyond Bread for a late desert. Probably my worst experience that I have had and I will say they have been a lot better, so that I almost gave this location four stars. So late night: They were out of many of the deserts, which was okay because it was the end of the day and they usually make fresh. They sold us coffee which they usually have at least three containers including decaf, but they informed us they stop refreshing the coffee at 5:00pm(so it sat there from before 5?) and one was out. One employee was very helpful as she apologized and tried to make things right. Then I found out the desert we ordered was not what I thought it was, it was supposed to be a Amaretto bomb, but was Chocolate even though I questioned them on it. The worst was the restrooms, esp the men’s was nasty and you could tell it had not been checked in hours. papertowels and mess on the toilets-eww. The other employee checking the women’s was talking to herself and very upset about something so that she was slamming things around and generally not happy. ANYWAY: Come during the daytime lunch is the best option. Very good pastry deserts, now they have craft beer and you can get growlers from local brews. Sandwiches and soups are very good. I generally get a DUO that is a half sandwich and a cup of soup. This was an odd ball day and I hope they get better for evening service.

This place is pretty good. The food is tasty for sure. I’ve had a few salads and sandwiches and a lemon square. The sandwiches are perfect. Bread is delightful. Salads are tasty but you should ask for extra dressing. The lemon square was overly sweet, but once you get a cup of coffee with it, there’s a nice balance.

Only in Tucson! Ive been coming here for years now and I’m still a fan. There have been changes throughout the years such as cut backs, price increases, minor normal business changes. But its still the same delicious taste to me. How it works: Grab a menu from the stand by the front door. When you’re ready walk up to one of the cashier and order. They will give you a sign to place at your table. They will bring out your food for you and clean up your table after you. I come here honestly just for their sandwiches. Some sandwiches have the option of half or full, ranging from $ 5 – 9. Honestly, half a sandwich gets me to content(with the side) and full is good for those starving days. They give a fair amount of meat and toppings. You also have the option of changing the bread if you would like. They used to do it for free(which I wish they still did) but now if you’d like to change the type of bread its a $ 1 fee. They also serve mac and cheese, salads, soups. Take advantage of the daily specials too. Current favorites: Enzo’s Ending Rex’s Revenge Pauly’s Pesto I’ll definitely be coming back but if they would just stuff their sandwiches to the way it used to be or take away the cost of bread changes, I’d be here everyday haha. Environment: 4⁄5 Food: 4.5÷5 Price: 4⁄5 Service: 5⁄5

Best breads, sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. It is always consistent and you don’t walk away hungry. It is always busy and people enjoy their meals. The Tomato Basil soup and ½ a Kalid’s Kerry on multigrain bread… YUM! YUM! I have not had a bad meal here, I don’t believe you will either. The cheese cakes are to die for… and kouigmann… great layers of of fine pastry dough and butter and cinnamon sugar baked into the croissant like dream. Everything is great! Happy eating.

Nom nom nom. If you’ve ever had Panera, this is basically a step up from that. They have a whole ton of sandwich, soup, salad and bakery items. I tried both of the Thursday specials, which were the Good Parma(chicken parm sammy) and the beef chili. Both were top notch, especially when I added jalapeños to the sandwich. And oh yeah, the death by chocolate cookie to finish off the meal wasn’t too shabby either :)
