While looking for a new neighborhood café, we found Brewd on Unilocal and decided to stop by on a Sunday afternoon. The prices were great, and we got a 12 oz(small) drip coffee, a small prickly pear herbal iced tea, and a breakfast panino(scrambled egg whites and choice of cheese on artisan bread) and a mini blueberry muffin for $ 10. Yum! Both drinks were good, and I especially like how they came in ceramic and glass mugs. For me, real dish ware goes a long way in making a café feel relaxing and home-y. The sandwich came split in two and was perfect for sharing and light enough for a snack. We each brought books, hoping to get some reading time in. Luckily, we were able to nab one of the few small tables inside to sit at. However, if you are open to sitting on couches or a high table with stools, there are more seating options available. One small inconvenience: The door was open so flies were repeatedly bothering us while we were reading; thus, we ended up leaving after we finished our drinks.

I reeeeeally want to love brewd. I really do. It’s walking distance from my house, they have puzzles and coloring books and games to entertain my 6-year-old, and the atmosphere and décor is adorable. But their coffee really sucks, their sandwiches are mediocre at best, and the staff is ALWAYS a bit snippy. The only redeeming quality are the gigantic and tasty muffins(hence the two stars), but unfortunately, they aren’t enough to keep me coming back.

I had a friend invite me for a coffee and I decided to give them another try. What a difference from my first visit right after they opened. Nice hot tasty coffee and a good pastry. It was served by a friendly person very efficiently. All the necessary creams and sugars were within easy access. Great job Brewd!

Visiting Arizona. Great find. Came because of the reviews. Outstanding coffees and sandwiches. Great atmosphere. Casual, comfortable. Eat in or outside. Owner Phil is awesome. You should experience this place. Wish we had one just like it back home.

Delicious strawberry-pineapple-mango smoothie @Brewd. Sipping on this while viewing some pretty amazing mountains. Waiting on my sandwich. Friendly staff. Very knowledgeable. Coming back that’s for sure!

Went here for the first time today and I seriously love it. Such a cute coffee shop with a friendly staff. I got a vanilla latte and a panini, and both were delicious. I definitely recommend you check it out!

This place was quite a drive from Davis-Monthan but it’s totally WORTHIT! A group of friends and I frequent different coffee shops on Friday and I have to say that this place had THEBESTMOCHA I’ve had in Tucson. I would gladly drive here every weekend to get a cup if I could ;) Give them a try if you’re in the area!

Great little coffee shop, the Cubano latter is by far one of the best lattes I’ve had in a while. Try it. And they do latte art which is cool The staff is friendly and helpful and the place looks nice inside and is welcoming. The prices are right and not overly expensive. The food is really superb too. I will be back here… I might even order another Cubano while I’m here right now… So good! Perfectly balanced with sweetness and foam and flavor

Busy little place but mochas and coffee came out in white mugs and with a smile from the woman who delivered them to our table. Extra chocolate design on the tops of the mocha… nice touch! Comfortable place; many people working on their own, meeting friends, or just enjoying the space which also has a book swap area.

Delicious coffees and casual breakfast that are perfect for after a run or hike in sabino canyon! The staff was very nice and accommodating. They also have big tables for groups, comfy couches and outdoor seating. I enjoyed a yummy seasonal pumpkin latte with a breakfast sandwich. Both hit the spot. Some of my friends also really enjoyed the oatmeal that was served with a bunch of toppings on the side. I love their big coffee cups and latte art. Great addition to the area :)

I love the hot chai latte and the chai frappé! Our all-time favorite sandwich is the Saddleback Ridge Panino. The turkey quiche is great too! Service is always friendly, welcoming and efficient.

Went here for the first time yesterday. I got the chai latte and it was REALLY good. I’ve been looking for a good local coffee shop besides Starbucks that has decent drinks and this was just what I was looking for because it was just like what I had back home. There was a bit of a wait but they were fairly busy as it was early in the morning and there were only about 2 people working. Well worth the wait! I’ll definitely be going again.

First, let me preface by mentioning that I’m not a coffee-drinker, and I don’t typically spend money on specialty drinks on a regular basis. So when I do, it’s a treat, and it better be worth my while. I usually go for the teas and hot cocoas. I found out about this place through the positive rating on Unilocal, and discovering that there was a local coffee shop relatively close to my house appealed to me. So a few months ago when a friend and I wanted a place to grab some drinks and chat, I naturally picked this place. She always gets a chai tea latte whenever we meet up, so I thought I’d give it a try this time. I can’t say the temp was hot enough, but I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of having it fixed, so I just let it be. Despite the lukewarm temp, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked flavor. In fact, I liked it so much that I actually started thinking about it constantly, even going to various grocery stores to see if I could just recreate the drink at home(and save myself some $). I never did, and instead, would just continue to crave the drink. Fast forward a few months, I decided to get the same type of drink elsewhere(a national bagel chain), ready to satisfy my craving for a chai tea latte. It was HORRIBLE. Had to force myself to finish it all, just so as not to waste. And then all I could think about was how I had to get myself to Brewd again sometime just so I could have a GOOD chai tea latte and erase the memory of the sub-par chai. They set the bar high! I just went to Brewd for the 2nd time today, and got my longed-for chai tea latte. Hot, mind you, even though the weather calls for cold/iced drinks now. It was perfect. This time it was HOT(so much so that I burned my tongue because I was so eager to enjoy it). Perfect flavor, perfect sweetness, perfect smoothness. It was just what this busy mama needed in the middle of an errand-filled morning. Thank you, Brewd! My husband, unlike me, has coffee everyday, and one of these days when we have the chance I’m going to bring him here. And try some of their other menu items! My aforementioned friend apparently stops by here often now when she needs to get to to SE Tucson, and she lives up in Oro Valley(a testament to how good this place is!).

Saw the reviews on Unilocal and thought we would give this place a try for an afternoon meal. The food was perfect. The paninis were delicious and the salads were fresh and also outstanding. We didn’t try the coffee, opting for iced tea instead which was also fresh and very good. I would have to say that what really sets this place apart is the amazing service. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

My favorite place to chill and work and drink great coffee. Phil and Kate know what they are doing. The staff is great. Angelee is sweet. As is Amanda. John is cool too. As a transplanted New Yorker who loves coffee shops, this is the place I’ve been looking for. I love seeing David Austin V play guitar and sing on Sundays. There was a young lady who I saw do the same back in January but I didn’t get her name. She was great. They are good for background music and to watch although a bit loud sometimes.

WOWTHATWASGOOD. So, we only come back to our hometown on occasion and stay at a guest house nearby. This last trip we were looking for coffee that was close and good. Brewd found us! The hours are short, but that allows them to have lives too. The downside is that if you’re looking for coffee at 4pm you’re not getting it here. On the upside, their coffee is fantastic. It’s strong and flavorful. Their service is great! They make drinks way better than that national popular chain that I won’t mention by name. There are plenty of places to sit, indoor and out. There are generally people reading, quietly chatting with a friend, or working. It’s a great spot whether you want to sit down or take yours to go. I highly recommend, and will be back next time we’re in town. I just wish I had something like this close to my house in San Diego!

Had the yummy Saddleback Ridge panini and the Hutch’s Pool salad. The food was great, service was fast and friendly, and a good price. It also wasn’t your run of the mill fast food joint but a healthy and delicious place to stop!

The coffee options and beans are fantastic, especially if you do not like how bitter Starbucks typically tastes. This little café/coffee shop has some pluses and minuses… Plus: The owners are fantastic(and from Pittsburgh PA — ya)! They are enthusiastic and personable. The coffee flavor is great. Service is quick. They have a live guitarist on the weekends who doesn’t mind if you sing along! Lounge feeling with a couch and a few comfy chairs. They have tables and plenty of seating. Btw, the portion for a chai latte(staying in the café and not taking out) is HUGE! Think a bowl of soup! Minus: The food portions are small and the selections I’ve had so far are not impressive. The menu, written above the cashier with chalk, doesn’t have prices on them. They give you a formal printout with the items and prices… let’s just say that those two areas need improvement. *Tip if you go there often ask for their loyalty card. It will take you awhile to get points but when you do, any beverage(smoothies too) is free!
