This is a great little coffeeshop with great drinks that I try to come to when I need to get some studying done. It does have a bit of that«hipster vibe» and I have had employees in the past act a bit annoyed/bored, but it’s not to the point where I’m too bothered by it. My only other gripe is that there are often no indoor seats, which goes to show how many people love this place. However, not having a seat is a bit annoying, especially in Arizona weather! Overall, great place! I’m a loyal customer and I’ll continue to come here whenever I can.

This is the only good cappuccino I’ve had in Tucson. I used to be a barista, and it’s not a hard thing to make. Even after lowering my foam standards for Tucson, no other place even has the basic ratio of foam: milk:espresso down(granted, I’ve usually only tried Starbucks, brunch places, and one of the other coffee shops on campus)… At other places, if you ask for a cappuccino, you get a latte. Ask for a dry cappuccino, you get maybe a wet cappuccino if you’re lucky. The cappuccinos at other places weigh so much I could build muscle just by looking at them. Caffe Luce has the right amount of foam, and it’s GOOD foam. I know where I’m going for cappuccinos from now on. The only thing I’m disappointed about is that I didn’t try them out sooner.

An excellent café. Well managed and staffed. I am very picky about my espresso and three different baristas have delivered exceptional service and quality shots. Pastry selection is good(though I wish they had cookies). The slate of regulars is a mix of young and old alike, which is good being on campus. Very inviting. If I had any complaints it would be the opening time, but this is Tucson. Mornings are not a thing here… :)

Always high quality coffee, and very knowledgable baristas. They have a nice place and often display art from local artists. If you love the smell of roasting beans like me, try to come in on Sunday’s!

I place Caffe Luce in the top 3 best coffeehouses in Tucson in terms of coffee quality. I’ve had americanos, lattes and brewed coffee. Never a miss. Unlike, say, Starbucks, the baristas don’t come and go, which means people with experience on that machine are pulling your shots. I have also bought their roasted beans, which I would put in the top two in Tucson. I most often go to the location near the University, which is always crowded with students and laptops. Rarely, I will not be able to find a seat, but in that case, walk across the street and sit on one of the many park benches on the UA campus. There is also a streetcar stop nearby. If you want fine pastries or other food, this is probably not the place. Their selection of pastries is improving but really, here it’s about the coffee and the place you’re drinking it in.

Love the place. It’s a neat cute little coffee shop. AMAZING place to come and do homework. Very calm and quiet. The hot chocolate and coffee was absolutely amazing. If you need good coffee and a place to do homework, this is the place for you!

Great coffee roasted on the premises. Their latte’s are great and I’m usually not a latte person. I get their coffee beans for home consumption and I’m never disappointed.

This is easily one of the best coffee shops in Tucson. Their Cortado latte is amazing! My hubby likes their Azteca latte. I also like their Chai latte. All good experiences so far and the latte art is a bonus that makes your coffee experience that much better

Five stars for the coffee, I’ve never had a latte that wasn’t delicious, and they have many great options for those in the world who want something other than coffee to sip, but… be warned… They sometimes close earlier than their posted hours!(Especially during the summer when the students aren’t around) If you’re going later in the evening, or want set up somewhere for a long night of studying, you may want to call ahead to ensure they’re staying open. At least two times I’ve gone there to study, I’ve gotten my drink and sat down, only to have a barista approach me minutes later to say that they would be closing early(an hour early). :(

Great coffee! Once got a free half pound bag of beans because I dunked a basketball on Mike, the owner. Update(10 September, 2015): Got confronted by Mike, the owner, for posting this on Unilocal. He demanded a rematch, I dunked and won an aeropress. Coffee is still great!

I’ve been here about 5 times. Every time I come here the place has that kind of ‘Hipster’ service with an attitude feel to it. I feel kind of like I’m bothering the employees when I come in and ask for things.(I feel like this place would do very well in portland lol.) Lastly, If you pay with a card you are immediately prompted with a «do you want to tip» question on the ipad cash register they use. If and when I press«No» it feels like the employees both see and are offended by this. Maybe it’s just me not reading the situation correctly but it seems this way.

Wonderful place to go and get coffee. The baristas are always super nice and friendly. Super hipster vibes from the look but very fun place to hang out. Perfect for a study session.

The best coffee I’ve found in Tucson so far. Great espresso and iced coffee, and a fantastic mocha. What’s more, it’s on campus! The Azteca mocha is a must try, hot or iced.

I do like Caffé Lucé. This is a nice local shop conveniently located just west of University of Arizona in Main Gate Square. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is okay. What I like about Lucé is that there are options for non-coffee drinkers. I’m only a little underwhelmed with the coffee, as I prefer what Exo Roast is able to accomplish, but generally Lucé is going to please casual coffee drinkers. Lucé sometimes gets crowded, so if you’re planning a lunch meeting or coffee date during the workday, keep in mind that you might sit outside – if at all. But that’s my largest issue with Lucé.

Found out The Coronet uses their coffee at the restaurant. Surprisingly big space tucked away on the other side of Wilco. The staff there is friendly when I tried to buy coffee beans in bulk. They came ½ lb or 1 lb sizes.

Caffe Luce is in my opinion the best place to get coffee in town. I love their coffees, espressos, and their chais. Although its not the best place to study. as it is often crowded and the table space is sparse… its the best option to get your caffeine fix around the University. I love their big old school coffee roaster too in the background! Super awesome. Staff is also super efficient, and they definitely got their ordering system down to the T. As soon as you get in, you stand in line and just before you get to the counter somebody will ask you what you want… 2 mins later you are paying and you have your drink served to you! Nothing can be better than that! Especially if you are in a rush to get going to your classes.

The café is actually on N Park Ave – the building is on the corner of University Blvd and Park. The soul replenishing coffee, the warm loving mug, the ephemeral latte art – compete with each other to make this the perfect punctuation in a hot Tucson day. The only downside: this will ruin the Student Union Starbucks for you.

The girl who opened the café today is the worst server I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Typically the staff is very very friendly and efficient and I enjoy going to the café most every day for work. My wife and I stopped in here today and my wife spilled coffee all over herself as she was leaving the shop. I went back in to get a refill and the girl was just awful. «You should put a lid on it» she said icily. There was a lid on it. «Its not my problem your wife spilled her coffee. The worst!

We just dropped in for lattes around 7:30 am on a Friday morning. Service was prompt and the lattes were great. Roast, grind, brew, and milk foaming were executed very well.

Disclaimer: this review focuses on service. I walked into Luce because I needed change for a $ 20 and because I had been meaning to try their pastries. Two birds, one stone. The lady at the counter lists the pastries they still have left(it was late afternoon) and another employee(moron?) interjects«Wilco has pastries, why don’t you go there?». Ummm, because I want to give YOU business not Wilco! The rude tone he took with me wasn’t cool either. The lemon bar was too sweet and way too squishy. It just kind of melted in my hand. I’m not a lemon bar kind of person but I thought I would try it. The other pastries on the counter looked promising so maybe next time. They do have great coffee so I will come back. Hopefully that guy won’t be there when I do.

This is the only place to get your beans in town. The roaster was born roasting coffee and he has a perfect process. The scene is a bit hipster, but I only go to pick up my beans. Parking isnt always the best as it is by the university, so I go to the Campbell store a lot too. If you appreciate a good coffee, make time to get here!
