Ah yes, Starbucks on university Blvd: the land of baristas who always let your shots die, make one drink at a time(whereas their training teaches them how to make two,) and this one blonde asshole. As a former employee of the company, I try not to complain too much because I know things can be rough, but every single time I’ve gone to this location, I’ve watched them let everyone’s shots die, make my drinks incorrectly, and received dry and rude answers from the aforementioned blonde barista. Do yourself a favor: save your money and go to a different location. These people just are not trained properly at all, and you’re left with incorrect drinks that you feel guilty for returning because one person with the meanest look on your face when you speak to her makes you feel like you’re some sort of idiot. Come on, you’re better than this.

I am guilty of coming here a lot. only because its literally 1.5 blocks away from my house. This is my favorite starbucks location because you can do a lot of people watching, and or enjoy the Geronimo Plaza with your dog. Also I just love old historic buildings/houses, especially ones in the West University neighborhood, so this starbucks is just a no brainer for me.

I always receive fast and friendly service at this location. Today Hannah took my order and served me my coffee. she was very pleasant. I noticed she was helping the person in line ahead of me to receive the best value for her request. Not only is the staff friendly, the store and restrooms are clean. These aspects make this my favorite Starbucks location.

Lazy barista served my friends drink with milk and still called it soy. I saw her empty out milk jug and pretty positive she heard me mention that I noticed. Still served it as soy and now my friend is twisting and turning in pain. Be careful for allergies because some don’t want to put the extra effort to ensure your safety

Great conversion and reuse keeping the feel of the old house while making it familiar. Friendly team here.

This place is tiny ;(I entered with a small/compact stroller and it was difficult to maneuver around. But it appeared clean and there was another room for patrons to sit. The baristas were friendly and accommodating. I asked for a grande to be split between 2 kids cups and they had no problem doing so. Plus there was an extra bit in the grande cup that she gave to us as well. Thank you Sidney! Yup, totally ok with returning if I’m in the area :)

This location is the most quaint of spots, absolutely everything you would want from a coffee shop hidden in a cozy area. My service here is almost always taken care f in a timely fashion and is much less busy than the Other Starbucks on campus! Baristas here as super friendly too! Not a terrible amount of room inside considering it’s near a college but still adequate for studying!

Nestled in the heart of academia(i.e. the University of Arizona campus), this Sbux is humming with the quickened pulse of anxious undergrads second-guessing their preparedness for the exam that will soon determine their fate, while professors sadistically toy with the idea of adding challenge questions to said exams. Baristas draw the focus of students and professors alike back to the matter at hand by collecting their orders: students going with an extra shot of caffeine in hopes of sharpening their focus; professors saying ‘yes’ to the whipping cream in a celebratory fashion. Ah yes, the bittersweet blend of the aroma of fear and coffee beans perfumes the air. *cheers*

The Starbucks experience used to be a unique and memorable occasion compared to other beverage purveyors. The experience would suggest comfort, productivity, inclusion, & community. With the rise of the«buy local» campaign and the«social consumer» Starbucks had begun to lose its draw. Drive through experiences are rushed. Relationships with baristas are hard to establish due to the«efficiency» of the order and delivery process. Ideas and happening seem to have found a new home in our culture. This store does little to help with the ordering experience. Cattle herding is more descriptive of the current experience. However, the fireplace inclusion & outdoor cove seating hold on to the ideals that this company used to stand for.

The good: It’s right near campus so I was expecting a little bit of a wait. They handled 15 customers in less than 10 minutes which was terrific :) The bad: I ordered the breakfast sandwhiches with bacon and it unfortunately was cold in the middle :( I would expect such a large chain to have things figured out with regards to heating times. What’s more disappointing is that it’s not the 1st time but rather the 3rd :/

By far, my favorite Starbucks, anywhere in the world. I miss it every day. Cozy fireplace on cold Tucson mornings. Open early, by 5:30 am, like clockwork. Dappled sunlight on the patio, lazy locals on Sunday morning. Colorful bicyclists vying for the key to the bathroom(thanks, Bridget, for your kindness!). Oh, yeah, and great coffee, too. ~Tracey, from Tokyo

This SBS is so cool. I love that it is in a historic home with a wonderful courtyard and fountain. Opens before the sunrise which is perfect for my early morning walks.

Omg… I can’t believe that I’ve never reviewed this Starbucks! This is my favorite one in Tucson, and one if my favorite in the State. First off, I remember when this place was a small independent coffee shop way back when. I saw the shop go out of business and then saw the Starbucks coming soon, I was supper excited! This would be the first Starbucks near campus. I think it was around 1995 – 96? Once it opened I loved it and made this a regular study location for me. Fast forward many years and I still love this Starbucks. It still keeps the feel of a historic home, similar as to the older coffee shop that was there before. This location has a nice fireplace and lots of table and chairs in different rooms. Yes it’s crowded as expected, but it’s worth it. I always stop off here for my long drives back to Phx.

Like every other Starbucks near campus, this place gets BUSY! The surrounding are quaint, like your artsy friend’s living room, but they get crowded like a house party in no time. There’s a back room with a long trestle table and several smaller ones well-lit by generous windows… prime study/work spot. The front patio is small, but gives a great view of University ave and the baristas here are not as ditzy as the on-campus Starbs.

I really try to stay away from big businesses but no where in Tucson can I get a good up of coffee and good service at the same time, not like I can at a SBUX. Starbucks, I’m glad I can count on you.

This is not a Starbucks you really want to drive to. Though if it is a weekend you can park in the Tyndall Garage right behind it for free. This spot can be super busy, but they’re also pretty efficient. For a Starbucks this location is pretty charming and cozy. They even have the fireplace going in the winter. When it’s sunny outside sitting in the courtyard is seriously lovely.

I didn’t drink coffee; didn’t even care to know what it was. But it was during my years as an undergraduate years at the UA that I learned to love coffee. I had come accustomed to taking No Doze with water, helping me to pull extra study hours. But the No Doze began to fail. At the same time, I began studying at this very Starbucks. This was sometime around 1998 or 1999. At the time I was attracted to Frappucinos. Soon, that desire for Frappucinos evolve into a love for espresso. There are Starbucks cafes located the world around, but this one will always have a special place in my psyche. I began drinking coffee here, and I continue drinking coffee here. It is not the best espresso I have had in life — not even close — but it is consistent. I also love this location because the baristas are, for the most part, very committed to their customer service. And the fireplace is pretty sweet, along with the back room that was made for studying. And when you are in, be sure to try the bacon, Gouda and egg sandwich! YUMMM-AY!

I love this place… not just because its Starbucks but because of the ambiance. The staff here is chill, due to the college crowd. They also make specialty drinks like«the scooby-doo»… its a like a blended caramel frap with recess’ peanut butter cups. Always clean, outlets galore for the laptops and comfortable seating indoors and out.

One of the most homley Starbucks I’ve encountered. There’s a real fireplace here. 5 stars for the University of Arizona.
