This bar is perfect! So cute, like a typical Irish pub! And of course the Harry Potter shots are yummy, and pretty cool to see being made!

The person who chose the karaōke was rude and inconsiderate. They have less than average drinks. But can’t get over how poorly I was treated by the man manning the karaōke he treated me terribly of I am being honest. I will never be back. He is a dark short man with a full beard/mustache. Also drinks tasted horrible. Again, I will not be back to this establishment.

Went on a «pub crawl» the other night, and started here for dinner and drinks. Food was pretty good. Typical pub fare. Tasty and large portions. Drink selection was also decent. Nice ambience. Liked the way it was set up and it wasn’t too crowded. Only real negative was the shot everyone either loves or hates about this place, it’s called the Harry Potter I think… Anyway, they did this shot repeatedly while we were here and the fumes of burning cinnamon really started to get to us. You’d think the smell would be pleasant but after the 3rd or 4th one it was overpowering and we had to leave. Too bad, I would’ve liked to stay longer!

If you want a quality Guinness, come here. Bartenders are friendly, they host massive parties for U of A basketball games, and throw an insane St. Patricks Day!

Worst so called«Irish pub» I have ever rambled into, and trust me I ramble into a lot of Irish establishments. I mean, you cannot even get a Ruben! Service was mediocre and the beer was flat, not to mention we were charged 50 cents more per beer than advertised on the menu. Which I admit is not breaking the bank, but when you are ordering ten of them at the table it adds up, and it is the principle more than anything. I suppose if you are a college student looking for a Guinness and ‘curry chips’ they can make that happen, but there is not much here to impress, even on a Saturday afternoon. Being from the Boston area I may be spoiled, but I guarantee you will never find me in this establishment again.

This is a bar I always seem to end up in because someone I am with wants to go to it. It isn’t one I would personally suggest. This bar has been around for awhile now, but I remember when it was new. I am in my thirties, but the crowd here is very young. It is a college bar, because of its location on University, that makes sense. Friday night there was one table with just two middle aged guys. I wonder if they felt out of place? I bet on game days this place gets a little bit different crowd. Friday night the college kids were loud, which wasn’t a problem for me. The atmosphere is an Irish pub themed college bar, dark wood, wooden stools around the tables, Irish beer signs, it is pretty basic. I don’t remember televisions, but I wasn’t looking for them. It is important to know that the«Harry Potter» shot is the thing here, $ 9.00 each. Our group and seemingly every other group at the bar Friday night ordered a round of these. There was one bartender that just made rounds of these shots and another bartender that made all of the other drinks. There was so much cinnamon in the air that I kept sneezing. Friday night it was uncomfortably warm inside even though there weren’t that many people. I think the heat was turned on. I actually ran down the street and bought a tank top to wear so that I could be comfortable. I ordered a Paulaner Hefeweizen, they have it on draft, $ 6.00. I think all of the craft/import draft beer here cost $ 6.00 a pint or more. They do have a nice selection. This is a bar where it is very easy to spend $ 20 on two drinks and very hard not to spend $ 20 on two drinks. I feel like this is a bar that people stop into on their way to somewhere else. I also feel this bar encourages moving on quickly, with its higher prices and by not making it very comfortable. I have been here a handful of times and I have never stayed very long.

Summer hours? What? Strange to me that since it is summer you would change your hours and stop serving food fairly early but that was the case. I guess all the students are out of town so its not worth if for them. Anyhow, pretty much your typical, fun Irish pub. I like the dark feel and the drinks were good and reasonably priced. The service was really good, the bartender helping us was cool. My friend and I ordered the famous Harry Potter shots and that was worth the visit in itself. Yes, they are magical, you should try one!

It’s a bar that operates as a college bar on any given given night.

Ok so the ambiance is nice; however, when I think of an Irish bar I expect traditional dishes from Ireland. You know, just like grandma used to make? Unfortunately, there are none although the menu indicates otherwise. WTH? Best thing about this pub is the nice pint of Guinness. Mmmmmm

I have not been a regular at Auld Dubliner, but I have been there a few times as of late for trivia nights — Pub Quiz. The Wednesday evening event, which starts at 8 p.m., draws a humorous fun-loving audience of geeky, nerdy, handsome types. Fun stuff! I like the space. It’s pretty wide open, in the fashion of an Irish pub. You don’t have to worry about it being crammed — lest there is a Wildcat game or it is St. Patrick’s Day. Then you’re screwed. Service is friendly and reliable. And even though the place is a hot spot for beer drinkers, than have a very brief wine list. Not selective at all — seriously, I think they offer one red and one white. But thank goodness for us non-beer drinkers who, for some odd reason, keep droves of friends who love their beer. Sadly, the menu just shrunk. No more bangers and mash! But they still have the beloved curry fries, fried zucchini, burgers, tater tots and likely the most popular item — the Harry Potter shot.

Go with mustard on the corned beef sandwich instead of the horseradish mayo, add cabbage to it as well, get a beer and enjoy yourself

It’s best described as a college bar largely promoting copious quantities of American brews at affordable prices for students… it certainly bears scant resemblance to an actual Irish pub. The décor is early American youth hostel, designed to accommodate as many students as can possibly be squeezed through the door. Seating is largely rustic narrow tables flanked by wooden bar stools. The bar looks pretty impressive though, with bottles and bottles of hard liquor against a mirrored backboard. Aside from the Bushmills however, you’d be hard-pressed to find even a half-dozen bottles of Irish whisky. My friend and I ordered two pints of Guinness, which to our dismay were delivered to our table a mere two minutes later. While prompt service might otherwise be considered a plus, it’s fairly common knowledge that Guinness is a two-part pour and therefore rarely shows up on your table for less than five minutes. But does it really make a difference? In this case, the Guinness was not only a tad flat, but tasted bitter as well — I just couldn’t tell whether it was due to the pour or perhaps a keg that was allowed to overheat in the Arizona sun, or maybe just old, stale brew. Don’t get me wrong, the Guinness wasn’t «bad», just a bit off. It was certainly good enough that we wound up ordering a second round. The food on the other hand, was quite decent. We both ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and while not extraordinary was nonetheless both tasty and filling. Likewise, the regular fries were good but nothing more. The fries with ranch dressing and bacon, on the other hand, were fantastic. Service was also good and I would rate it at three stars. As far as value goes, it seemed a bit steep for a college bar. Not including tip, the bill for our two sandwiches and four pints came to $ 54.

Disappointed– I live in Phoenix but travel frequently to Tucson. When I can get downtown I always go to the Dubliner, even if it’s just to get take out. One of the unique menu items that I loved was an appetizer of baby cooked potatoes covered with buffalo sauce and Gorgonzola cheese. I would often get a double order as my meal. No longer available??? Yesterday I was at the Dubliner and the menu has been cut down significantly. The traditional Irish foods such as Shepards Pie and potato leek soup are gone. ??? It would appear the owners are trying to scare away business. The new menu is certainly not worth my patronage any longer.

Seahawks Bar! I was in town during a Seahawks playoff game and was greeted by about 100+ Seahawks fan! Definitely not a place for non-Seahawk fans on football days. The bar was fully stocked and the bartenders were very knowledgeable and fast. Really appreciated the fire show! The food was pretty much pub food and the only questionable item ordered was the fries with nasty curry sauce. Everything else was good. Looks like a fund place filled with fun people.

I came here for more than a year to play Geeks Who Drink trivia. It was always a blast. The drinks are good, if a little too pricey, the food is good, even though the menu goes through subtle changes every few months, and the waitresses are usually fantastic. Stop by and ask Mitch to order more Iron Maiden Trooper beer!

Pretty neat spot that is what you’d picture for a typical Irish or English bar. I haven’t tried the food yet. Tried the Harry Potter shot — its a gimmick. sticky and no alcohol in it. But its fun to watch them make it. :) Otherwise, neat little bar.

This place is known for their Harry potter shots, but honestly those taste like nothing and are just an expensive«party trick». This bar does have a beautiful vintage feel to it though and it’s back bar is awesome with their little bar game area!

Wow. So I have been coming here for the«night» crowd for a while. But never really got much in the way of food until recently. I had the blackened chicken burger and it was outstanding. A bit salty, but lots of flavor and it was much better than I was anticipating it being. It came with a side of fries that literally took up ¾ of the plate — very generous and too much for me to even finish! The only problem I have with coming here is that they are really lacking in beer«specials» — drinks here are a bit overpriced in my opinion. Not expensive, but nothing to really draw you in. I will for sure eat here again though.

Okay; for the nights I do remember going here and drink… This is a nice, small place to go to if you are on University. On Friday and Saturday nights, it gets packed and people are getting wasted(like someone I know: D). Most of the time, this isn’t the place you would expect a dance floor; but if someone would start it(one time my friends and I did because of Gangnam Style) it would be awesome! I never went in the morning because usually I am in class and go elsewhere for food. I would like to try this place in the morning or lunch(if they are open) one of these days. They have this shot(because they like dealing with fire) called the HARRYPOTTER shot; not quite sure what is in it but it’s BLUE! Essentially, the bartender torch the shots and it goes up a huge flame. If you buy it for your group of flames; they will worship you; I promise. Well, not really, but it is really cool. You should try it, you know you want to. If you are skeptical, just send me a message and I will go and order with you. So, I can say, «I told you so: P» Just kidding! Anyway, sometimes you will see me there with my friends, if you do just say«Hi» to me. Anyway, this is a cool place to be at on a week day night or weekend night! It is almost or about the same amount of coolness as GentleBen’s across the street. :D
