The food is fairly good and inexpensive. Service has been fairly good although I have had spotty service at times. Overall it’s a god place for a decent meal. Food seems fresh and I can’t say I have had a bad meal.

It was a joy to visit Cheddar’s while visiting family. Everything was good: mango tea, grilled shrimp, chicken tenders, and esp. the ribs. Service and ambiance were top notch.

Okay I’ll start with the good things: I had a slight diet restriction, substituted broccoli for rice no problem. Awesome. The food tasted amazing and fresh. And I was grateful for the accommodation. My server Mikey was so friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a request next time too. One other guy came to check on me too, very nice, turned out to be the GM. Always cool to see managers taking initiative to see everything operate smoothly. The bad: The tiny blonde host had such a freakin attitude I almost left before I even sat down. You’re the first impression, why act like you’re better than everyone who walks in the door? Customers keep restaurants in business. Duh. My one drink with three ingredients didn’t come until after I finished eating, which was comical to me as a bar manager. Didn’t even taste good to be worth the wait. Once I was finished, saying goodbye to my server after he brought the check, another female server came by and was SORUDE to him complaining that it was time for him to do «his sidework.» Mikey was so professional and gave a smile and nod and turned back to wish me a good rest of the day. If the GM happens to read this, PAYATTENTION to how these girls are treating not only their guests but other employees as well. It’s great to have such nice service, but the whole experience can be ruined by a slower than molasses bartender(I wanted to enjoy my drink with my lunch) and snarky attitudes between coworkers.

I’ve come here during two different times. Both times, the food was EXCELLENT. The first time I came, it was a Friday at about 6pm… Needless to say it was PACKED and it was NUTS. The wait times were CRAZY to say the least but once I got inside to meet my family and got my food, I completely understood why it was so busy! The next time I came, it was around 11:30am on a Tuesday. I much preferred this time of day as it wasn’t nearly as busy but I’d be down to go either way! So yummy!

This has become my family’s favorite restaurant since the first time we tried it. Every single server has been outstanding and made each visit here very accommodating. Everything is very consistent and that is why we visit quite often. This server was amazing and being bilingual makes it even better(my mother and father prefer Spanish) but two other servers who have out stood to my family is Dan and Harry. Dan assisted us about 2 weeks ago with a party of about 8 people and it was excellent. Harry is my daughters favorite and is mentioned each time we visit cheddars. Each time we have been to cheddars she asks for him since he is very attentive. After about 5 months from the first time she saw him and when we have gone he was off, she finally saw him again and he again was very polite and took the time to walk over to say hello to her. Each time family or friends visit from California we make sure they get to experience this, and are delighted each time! Amazing restaurant with amazing staff and amazing food-it can’t get better than this!

So I’ve been here a handful of times. Mainly with business, so its usually a lemonade & appetizer. Decided to take my family and order dinner. We were all so let down by our meal. I had a party of 3& everyone concurs that not only did we NOT want to eat our entrees, not even sure our dog would want it. The service was horrible, but the food was worse! Thank goodness we grabbed a pizza on the way home!

Not too shabby, not too special Came here with my family Sunday lunchtime and boy was this place packed! But even with all the hustle, my party was still able to be seated with in 5 – 10 minutes. The hostess was very nice and server was very quick, friendly, and extremely attentive. Inside the restaurant was clean, modern, but a little dark. Price is moderate here, worth what you paid for because the portions are larger. We started with the onion rings. These were amazing! Piping hot, fresh, and who doesn’t love chipotle ranch as dipping sauce :) For our entrees, we ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo, country chicken friend chicken, and new orleans pasta. — Grilled Chicken Alfredo: The good was that there was a whole giant tasty piece of grilled chicken breast in this dish. They did not skimp out on the meat here. But the bad was that I felt like there was more veggies(broccoli and whole baby carrot sticks) than there was pasta! I don’t mind some veggies and chicken but I wanted a pasta dish and I got everything else. On top of that, the sauce was so bland, and the pasta was COMPLETELY overcooked it fell apart when i tried to stab it with my fork, it made me not want to eat anymore of it. — Country Chicken Fried Chicken: The difference between«lunch» and a 60 cents more for«dinner» is a whole extra piece of fried chicken breast(no bones). I think this is a pretty darn good deal! The chicken was moist and tasty! If you like gravy, you might want to ask for some extra gravy on the side for your chicken. — New Orleans Pasta: The server made sure we knew that this dish was«hot/spicy» but in all honestly, it probably had a mild kick. I was expecting more since our server ensured that we understood the dish was spicy(which we were looking for) The dish was full of shrimp, sausage, pasta, veggies. It was a little salty, but had good flavor. Again, the pasta was over cooked. Maybe it was just the day, but I don’t like when pasta is so soft that it falls apart when you are trying to scoop it up or fork it. Recommendations — Onion Rings — Country Chicken Fried Chicken(probably anything chicken is good) Environment: 5⁄5 Food: ¾ Price: 4⁄5 Service: 5⁄5

Love this place! Some friends and I went here for lunch on a Sunday and we were in and seated immediately. The chicken is so good! I had the country fried with mac and green beans. Everything was great and the chicken was moist on the inside and yet cooked through but perfectly crunchy. I went for the lunch portion and it was a regular portion. I could have taken leftovers but I chose to eat it all in one sitting. Everyone in my party enjoyed lunch and the marg my friend had looked tasty! I’ll def be back. The place was busy but the service was prompt and friendly! Yay, a chain that produces quality!

Food was just ok, our waitress was good. But we couldn’t hear one another because things were soooo loud. I felt so relieved after the party behind us left with their banging-on-the-table with silverware in both hands baby. But they were replaced by a group that was just as loud. The students one the other side of us were playing their YouTube videos on blast and laughing like a chicken coop. The experience was like pass-the-secret: What time is it? OH, they don’t have limes here! Maybe I should have ordered alcohol. Well anyway, won’t be headed back here.

Went here on a Saturday night and there was a 30 minute wait, it was 7pm so no matter where we went there was going to be a wait. Got seated and the waiter was a fast talker. Now I can talk fast but crap this guy was amped up. Had the Cheddar Cheese Fries and it was awesome, hot plate, hot food even the ranch was getting warm. This could have been dinner and would have been great. Sadly this was the only thing hot. I got the Top Sirloin and he got the ribs and chicken fingers. Everything was lukewarm if that. We ate it because trying to get our server again was next to impossible. I asked for medium and my steak was more well done than medium. The food all tasted like it was cooked earlier and they just warmed it up. If it wasn’t for the awesome Cheese Fries I wouldn’t bother going back. But I want to go back and hope that the next visit will be more like the reviews I saw here. Here’s to the next better visit! Cheers!

My wife and I eat out a lot, and we received a recommendation from our friends from Washington State. The food was excellent and we received superior service from our server, «Aubrey»! If all there servers are as good as her, this place will have do great. I had the«Chicken Fried Chicken». Fresh and moist, my wife had«Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms». We were both very pleased with our meals. In looking at other meals that passed by I dare say they all looked wonderful!

So I mean I come here sometimes and for some reason I literally always get the same waiter and he’s cool. He is patient and he doesn’t mind when I take awhile to order. The food has always been super good and it’s super cheap also, like always under $ 40! It’s a nice place though and you wouldn’t expect it to be so cheap! Definitely recommend!

This place is great! We visited last night, Erica was our waitress and she did a great job! The food is wonderful especially for the price, its very affordable. We had the 6 oz. sirloin with the bourbon glaze and i had the green beans and broccoli casserole on the side. It was all delicious! If you get the steak, definitely opt for the bourbon glaze! Its fantastic! We will definitely be regulars from now on, we’ve been looking for a great restaurant close to the house and finally found one! The atmosphere and lighting is great, its romantic but casual. Dimly lit and feels private even when its crowded. We got there around 5 on a Friday and only waited about 15 minutes to be seated even though it was quite busy. Love this place! The portion size was perfect, leaves you full but not like you ate too much! There’s nothing I’d complain about here.

First time eating here. I had the simple cheeseburger and my fiancée had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Both phenomenal! What really caught my taste buds was the croissant bread. OMG!!! Service was excellent as well as the price and ambiance. I will definitely go back. By the way, you ever catch yourself looking at everyone’s food as they get served and feel like asking for a sample of their food? He he

Our waitress was wonderful! All of our dinners were good! However, our Togo food, which was not tossed around or slid sideways, didn’t look so appetizing. Overall, they are busy for a reason, we were pleased with our overall experience. Sirloin steaks were ALL cooked perfectly. For the price, it’s a great spot!!!

The spasagna is really well portioned and has a cool take on lasagna. The vegetable plate is also a choice of mine because you can choose four of the sides with soup or salad. However, for being a vegetable plate that can come with soup, neither soup is able to be served vegetarian. The server was friendly but did not seem well informed. I also think that the menu should describe that the rice and beans has sausage in it so people ordering the vegetable plate are aware! The pain killer drink is delicious!

I have to say I am very impressed with this restaurant, food was 100% amazing, I can’t say there was anything bad. 1. Customer service is fantastic, a very long time since I can say we had great service. You can tell people there like working for the company. 2. The Texas margarita was so yummy. Great drink. 3. I had the chicken tenders and shrimp and they were heaven in my mouth you could really taste that they were fresh not frozen… waiter even said they make everything fresh. 4. Spinach dip is the BEST I’ve ever had!!! 5. Prices were the best, very reasonable and great portion sizes! Sum it all up! Great place, better then most places out there currently. I really enjoyed my experience. Will be back again!!! Ahhh I love this place.

I am not an advocate of eating out, despite the fact that I seem to eat out fairly often. Bah. Cheddar’s is one restaurant that takes the edge off the guilt I feel after overindulging in mass prepared and oil-infused dishes. When you first visit, the waiter/waitress informs you that 90% of the food that comes out of their kitchen is made from scratch just for you. Now, that is a lovely thought. Many would think«From scratch = REAL ingredients! Yay!» I question if that is the case. After all, a person can still claim he/she made a pie dough or cookies ‘from scratch’ despite using a cup of Crisco, etc. To be fair — I have not worked at a Cheddar’s so I don’t know if they’re using quality ingredients or not… I just assume they try to make tons of profit like any other restaurant by using the cheapest ingredients available. Traditionally, that would include hydrogenated fats and soybean oil, etc. On the less cynical hand — I really enjoy the food at Cheddar’s. I have had their salmon, Dijon chicken, baja chicken, and chicken fried chicken and they were all delicious. Their hot fudge sundae cake is excellent — light and chocolaty with a fudgey mousse-y frosting. So decadent, and definitely made to share with the table. Out of all the restaurant choices in Tucson, I highly recommend this one. It has a laid back atmosphere, but service is always timely and efficient. The prices are surprisingly low for the taste and quality of the dishes they present. This is the reason I give it four stars. In Tucson, it’s one of the few better options… I recommend!

Cheddar’s is just ok. We’ve been there three times now, and I just wasn’t that impressed, but I wasn’t totally unsatisfied with their food, either. It’s pretty basic American food. Lots of fried and greasy options. Especially the appetizers! The chicken tenders are fried really nicely and seasoned well. The potato skins are probably the best chain restaurant version I’ve ever had. The potatoes were cooked well and not all dried out which seems to happen a lot. They put a lot of cheese on them, too, which makes them flavorful. We’ve also tried their specialty croissants with honey, and those too are pretty good and unique. Their entrees have also been pretty decent, but nothing amazing. The buffalo chicken wrap is a really huge portion, and again, the chicken is friend really well. The buffalo sauce isn’t very spicy though, which is a slight bummer. The spaghetti pie like dish was a little below«ok» because it was pretty boring and a tad bland, but what do you want when you order Italian food at this kind of restaurant? Their side dishes have been particularly disappointing. The broccoli and rice dish is so terribly bland. Bleh. The mashed potatoes, jebus, they’re so bad. You can stick your fork in them, and the fork sticks up. They’re so dry and mealy. Absolutely horrible. The mac and cheese is another bland dish that’s not worth ordering. The baked potato is probably the best choice, because it’s just a boring baked potato. The other problem with Cheddar’s is their staff. They brought our appetizer out after they brought our meal to the table on one visit. They’ve been out of food on another visit. And the waiters are never around, so getting a drink refill is a chore. It’s not a peaceful dining experience because there’s been a problem every time. So, overall, the food is ok, but it’s not great and the service isn’t great. I’ll go back, but not because I actively want to.

I love this place. Our party started with the nachos and wisconsin cheese curds — both were so good. Im not usually a fan of fried cheese but surprisingly these were really good. The cheese was still melted inside and not just like a blob of cheese. The nachos were very flavorful! Everyone enjoyed them all. I ordered the chicken tenders(I was told they are famous) and shrimp. Im not normally a chicken tenders person because they’re normally really dry and not much flavor so I was going out on a limb on these«famous» ones. Boy, am I glad I did! The tenders were anything but dry and flavorless. I was very impressed and finished them all. The shrimp was great — a medium size, not like the puny ones you get a certain restaurants. I got the side of mac and cheese and green beans. When the green beans came out I was a little skeptical at their appearance but they were awesome, soft but not mushy. The mac and cheese was pretty good too — Im always picky with this item but I’d rate this one of the top mac and cheese in town. The amount of food you get for the price is great! Our service was always very friendly! We’ll definitely be back.

First off, this place was awesome. Close to a Unilocal 5 star in my opinion except for one thing I will get to in a bit. Some family and I were on a a little get together and my sister decided on This place. I had never heard about it. Whatever. Let’s try it. On Saturday evening in Tucson, any decent place has a wait so the 25 – 30 minutes we waited outside was no big deal. We were sat, but it took a few minutes to get our waitress to take our drink order, and seeing as we were waiting outside in Tucson, AZ for 30 minutes, I wanted my drink yesterday. When the waitress came she was super pleasant, maybe a little overly happy which made it look forced, but she had an incredible butt so no problem there. Got our drinks out quick and the bloody Mary’s soon after. My sweetened ice tea could have been a little more sweetened but wasn’t bad. I was told the bloody Mary’s were pretty good. And the water tastes like water. The appetizer that we ordered(nachos) were amazing. We got the half and half beef/chicken. Amazing. I’m no food critic, but they were amazing. Cleaned off the plate. They were amazing. A couple of us got salads to start and my Ceaser salad was great. They definitely weren’t stingy with the dressing so big brownie points there. We had also ordered some croissants, which were huge, sweet, light, flaky and just plain delicious. Recommend those. As for the main course I ordered the buffalo chicken wrapper with a loaded baked potato. The wrap was very tasty and the buffalo chicken sauce was just the right amount of spicy for me. Probably a little mild for your typical spicy liker person. The tortilla made it tough to eat cause it flaked apart and unrolled a little to easy, HOWEVER, there were 4 sections so the portion was hearty. Awesome. My baked potato came with butter and cheese. Here is the place where I chop off a star. I’m a 250 lb beaner that loves to eat. When I order their baked potato and she asked if I wanted it loaded, I said heck yeah. It came with butter and cheese. Loaded baked potato = butter and cheese??? No. Loaded means butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon, and chives if not anything else. Asked the waitress, who has a stellar butt, about the«Loaded» baked potato conspiracy and she said that was it but she would bring me another side if I would like. I declined but was satisfied that she offered a replacement side. The waitress was very attentive which I was happy about for a couple reasons 8) I don’t typical take food home in ToGo boxes but the wrap was to good to leave. So that is saying something for me. My sisters Monte Christo looked awesome and she took hers home also. The parents spaghetti/lasagna concoction was said to be OK. The atmosphere was good. Typical chain type feel. Not to bright but not to dark. Lots of people talking. Serving staff all over the place. Will definitely stop in again sometime. I’m Chili Palma and I approve this review.

My girlfriend had the Country Fried Steak and I had the Country Chicken Fried Chicken… Both were delicious, ordered the dinner portion… It’s comes with 2 chicken breast. Yup. So good I polished off both patties and the sides, mashed potatoes with green beans cooked in bacon. My girlfriend who usually has leftovers finished her entire plate… Only thing we recommend is get an extra side of gravy. At least for us we wanted to have more gravy to dip our food into. If you want comfort food and like these types of food. I recommend you order either of these plates. If you have a significant other, order both and split the plate so you each have both types. I apologize for not taking a picture but when I return I will take a pic and post it… Now on the dessert… Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding… Was so, so… I would recommend the Monster Cookie Sunday.

We were turned away twice because it was crowded but finally picked a time with no waiting for a table. This is a very popular place to eat! First impressions: The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Lots of dark wood making it, duh, dark. Reminded me a bit of Red Lobster’s décor. We were seated on the aisle oustide the inner square and it was VERY busy with servers constantly walking past us with food, drinks, etc. It felt busy. My Cheddar Club with coleslaw was OK. The turkey was the usual thin-sliced version found in a deli. It was generous but nothing special taste-wise. For vegetarians, they offer side dishes to round out your meal. There were quite a few tasty choices. I’m glad I finally came here but will probably stick to Mimi’s in the future.

A-OK as in I would come again at someone’s suggestion but it would not be my pick of eateries. Sunday night 7pmish– 25 minute wait. Sadly, there was a group of 15 people with their panties in a bunch as they had been waiting an hour and a half with a newborn and they had reservations. They have a flat screen TV playing near the front door which describes their home-style comfort food and craft cocktails. We requested a menu so we would be able to order upon being seated. Looking over the menu I noticed they clearly do not understand what a craft cocktail is. This is not a craft cocktail establishment, just run of the mill margaritas, mojitos, and the usual suspects. The margaritas are served in a big glass with too much ice, not enough booze but a decent price point of around 4.50. Unfortunately, they tried to seat us in a very busy aisle and that would not work with a high chair. A short while longer we were seated. Hubs went for the bacon cheeseburger with a side of chipotle mayo. He added mushrooms and their broccoli casserole. I had the sirloin chicken finger combo with a loaded baked potato and mac and cheese as my daughter loves her some mac. My husband enjoyed his burger and the casserole. I was not impressed with the casserole, which was basically cheesy rice with broccoli. His mushroom appeared to be canned button mushrooms cooked in butter, but they did taste nice. My steak was cooked perfectly and had no fat. It was also seasoned very nicely with pepper and required no steak sauce. The chicken was very tender but a little under seasoned and served with a honey mustard. The mac and cheese was nothing impressive. The baked potato was hardly loaded with a pat of margarine, sour cream and about 8 shreds of cheddar. It irritated me that a salad was not offered as a side. You had to pay 2.50 extra and I saw it being served on the same plate as people’s entrée’s. I really need my salad in a nice cool bowl, not on my hot plate. I did enjoy the fish tank full of African cichlids.

We just checked this place out and really like it. Apart from the awesome revitalization of El Con… this restaurant is a GREAT add. We went on a Saturday right around lunch time… bustling but no wait which was nice(big wait when we left though). There were several people assigned to the hostess station so not only did we have the door opened for us but they were very welcoming and took us right to a booth. Here are the highlights — AND why we will return: Service — GREAT, the server was very attentive, kept the husbands iced tea glass full and checked in with us just the right amount(not too much not too little) Food — DELISH. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as a starter and it was really creamy and yummy. Honestly, most restaurants spinach dip all tastes the same too me which is yummy so I would not go as far to say that it was off the charts or anything. The hubby got the Club and I got the Monte Christo. For the Club, he ordered the broccoli cheese casserole/bake as his side… I tasted it and LOVED it. So now the the Monte Christo… I have never had one before and felt like I had been transported to sandwich heaven when I bit into it. The server told me it was dipped in funnel cake which is probably why I loved it! It was SO good, why has it taken me so long to try one of these? At any rate — we really enjoyed the food a LOT. Did not have any problems with flavor or service as some peeps have written.

So upon arriving at this place. The hostess booth was confusing. The what looked like manager was on the phone standing right in front of the booth. The actual hostesses were talking under their breath about where to put us and then we were automatically placed in the bar. I kind of wanted to see the restaurant considering it’s new here, and looks gorgeous. Bummer they have a cool looking fan from the entrance the spins vertically, however, can’t say much else as I only caught a glimpse. I would have waited a bit to have a seat in the restaurant. On to the food: I ordered the jalapeño burger with added sautéed mushrooms and fries. The menu states the burgers were cooked medium well. I wanted mine medium rare and it seemed that this confused the server he needed to consult th My friend ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. The appetizer was going to be onion rings, but the server said there was about 24 in the order. Thinking that would be a little much we thought we could order them as a side. Apparently this is a I need to check with the manager type of thing. They ended up selling us a side of onion rings. We really just wanted to try them over anything considering they were made from scratch but didn’t need a mountain of them either. Food Verdict: This is the second review on this place to date. I did not have the lack of seasoning that the previous review spoke of. The food came out excellent. I don’t like thick chunky onion pieces over actual onion round pieces, but other than that the medium well was cooked PERFECTLY! The sautéed mushrooms were baby intact mushrooms versus sliced which worked much better as they held the flavor. The bun was nice and soft and warm too. The Monte Cristo was served with jam and topped with powder sugar. A great accompaniment to the sandwich and the flavor. The onion rings served with two side dips were excellent. They weren’t soggy nor greasy! Big win here on the flavors and food. Summary: I’m going it sum this up with great food. The service is a little rocky, but hey they just opened. Maybe they were still nervous.

Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner around 4:00 this afternoon and ordered the New Orleans Pasta. While the flavors were good, the pasta was way overcooked and just short of mushy, which is pretty off-putting. Nonetheless, because it was the first thing I’d eaten all day, I had eaten quite a bit of it by the time the waitress checked back with me. I mentioned the pasta issue to her and she asked if there was anything she could do. I’m never sure how to answer that question, honestly. I didn’t want to re-order, since I’d had enough to satisfy my appetite, and I don’t enjoy desserts. Perhaps they could have comped my drink or something, but I’d prefer that offer be made rather than demanding it. I will probably go back to try something else as everyone else seems to be reviewing it highly and I suspect my limp pasta was just an «oops» moment in the kitchen. UPDATE: Apparently it wasn’t an «oops» moment! I read through several reviews and another Unilocaler had the same experience with the pasta and was told by the manager that that’s just the way they do it! Unreal.
