Been here a few times, the coffee is decent, but the cashier is a real suckhole! He was listening to what I assume was«down with the sickness» and when I asked for napkins he gave me a look like«dont interrupt my jams!» When he took our order he didn’t even say a word, pretty much glaring at us the whole time, I wouldn’t be surprised if he jerked it right into our hot chocolate! He didn’t even say thank you when I dropped my cents into the tip jar! What a sodding wanker! Oggy oggy oggy!!!

Pretty decent coffee. Out fast. Good calm rooms. Great place for studying. The best part is how the first refill is free. Otherwise, I only go when it’s late at night because it’s 24⁄7. The baristas are friendly, and ready when you need them. Large selection of teas and syrups. Pastries and oatmeal are always available, they also make sandwiches and salads, but I’ve never tried them.

Nasty cream cheese was molded. It was completely green when I opened it. I even took a picture, if i could I would post it. Don’t eat here

Pretty good coffee drinks. EXTREMELYSLOW and somewhat incompetent service. My bagel sandwich sat on the counter for I don’t know how long before I went to get it myself. If you are in a hurry, go elsewhere. If you have plenty of time and don’t mind waiting on yourself it’s not bad.

Stop by the Coffee Xchange, I love the Remodeled location. The new staff where very friendly and knowledgeable of their menu items. I order a Ice Coffee and a Mesquite Chicken Sandwich. The Sandwich was prepared with great care and tasted wonderful.

This place is great! The baristas are nice and friendly, and their iced coffees and signature mocha xtreme is really good. There’s not usually a wait like at Starbucks, and if you’re like me and prefer coffee less intense then coffee xchange is for you because they have tons of options. This location is 24hrs so it’s perfect when I have weird retail hours. Best part is it’s affordable and supports local business.

Love this place. It’s on the way for me, and my boyfriend and I have stopped here many times to pick up a bagel or sandwich and coffee. They have a good brew and just-as-good food! The workers are all younger people but they’re very friendly and will work extra hard to set you up with the perfect order. I usually get a toasted bagel, which is admittedly a little pricey for a bagel w/cream cheese, and my boyfriend usually gets the xtreme works sandwich for breakfast. We always come back though! I love local restaurants!

I work nearby, and frequent this coffee shop. Everyone is friendly and down to earth. The baristas know their stuff, and always make a great drink. They make some good food too! I prefer to support small businesses rather than large chains, when I can.

This location of Coffee Exchange is easily accessible by bicycle, pedestrians, people out for a walk near the Wash. Before 10am is a nice time to go as the traffic is less if you want quiet. There is outdoor seating, but the traffic is noticeable and hopefully the fighter jets aren’t roaring by on top of the Tanque Verde traffic. In spite of environmental noise, it’s comfortable to stop in there, grab a beverage, pause to read something or check your phone before you hit the road. Their coffee is their signature and their banana bread is superb. For Wild Cat fans, this is a strong territory for such, but their clientele accompanies anyone from students to any gamut of professions. It’s a place where you can be who you are. The staff and manager recognize and appreciate regular customers as well as new visitors.

I love this place… I go 2 – 3 times a week and my caramel macchiato is always perfect and the customer service is spot on. Jonathan is always so sweet to me and always takes care of anything I need. This is a great place to have a nice, chill breakfast/lunch and catch up with a friend. I see a lot of bad reviews on here, but honestly I have never had a bad experience here. If you haven’t gone recently, give it a try again.

I’ll try to keep it short, folks. First and foremost, don’t come here if you’re expecting the quality that you would get at Cartel or Raging Sage. It isn’t going to happen. That being said, even though I love me some local coffee and even though the service was awesome, my caramel latte was pretty gnarly. I’m honestly trying to be very… er…generous with this review bc I know that sometimes one drink can be a bad representation of the usual quality(former long time barista up in hurr). Buuuuuut yikes was this bad. I legit had to force myself to keep drinking even after I asked for a bit more caramel in my caramel latte bc it was wicked bitter and just overall burnt tasting. I usually don’t even get flavored coffee so it isn’t like I have a weird aversion to the flavor of tasty brew. On the plus side, the service was great and they are open 24 hours. If you’re looking for a place to study and down coffee to stay awake, or looking for a place to hang out with friends when everything else on the east side is closed, this is it. However if you’re looking to have a quickly made but still tasty bevvy, do yourself a fave and keep going until you see your front door and just make yourself a cup of coffee. I guarantee it will be better.

The service and chai is great but the prices are similar to the overpriced starbucks — glad that the hours are long and they have free wifi but compared to the atmosphere and quality of my choice #1 cartel coffee and #2 raging sage, this is my third choice.

Love this place. I hadn’t been for quite some time because I’ve been addicted to Starbucks. Right now, I’m not consuming any sort of dairy products(or soy, for that matter) so my beloved Starbucks is out of the question. But the good news is that Coffee Exchange has almond milk! I got an almond milk latte and I think this may become my new favorite coffee shop! The baristas are very friendly! I love that they support the U of A by wearing their Wildcat t-shirts(except for that one guy I encountered on his way off of his shift sporting am ASpU hat and t-shirt… What he heck was up with that?!) I sat out on the patio with my sister and we chatted away. The baristas brought our food out to us(we split the bacon turkey wrap– and they put it on separate plates for us without my sister and I even needing to ask). That was a nice added touch. Another thing that I liked is that the atmosphere is so chill that I didn’t feel at all awkward when I nursed my baby girl. No one gave me the stank eye. No one told me to cover up. I’ll definitely come here again and you should, too.

Love love LOVE this coffee shop! I used to go to the location way down on campbell but after starting up my classes at Pima a couple of years later I found this location on Tanque Verde. it’s been my second home ever since! Love the patio in the evening with their cute string of lights. The inside is nice too but i’m one for a view. :) The staff is super friendly and helpful! I’ve felt like such a weirdo asking questions and they are very open to answer anything for you. They remember your name and after a few visits they already know what you normally order! The wait time is short and they bring it out to you if you feel like getting spoiled lol. I spend at least 2 hours here and my experience has been nothing but pleasing. I highly recommend this place to do your school work(Free WiFi), to meet up with somebody, or just to sip on your favorite drink and enjoy the patio. Jonathon has never failed in giving me a happy greeting to put me in a good mood if I wasn’t in one already! :) The staff checks around periodically too in case you need something. See you all very soon!

My pumpkin spice latte was more like a cinnamon dolce latte, it was pretty gross considering I hate things that are HEAVY in cinnamon flavor. Also the beans tasted burnt. yikes, oh and did I mention my PSL had absolutely NO pumpkin flavor to it, and not only was this true. but my coffee wasn’t even hot when I received it,(more like room temperature) Sadly I threw mine away after a couple of sips.

Lately Coffee Exchange has really redeemed themselves. My breve latte has been perfect every time, and the large is truly large. They’ve won me back and I’ll continue to come here when I’m on this side of town.

I hate leaving bad reviews for locally owned/operated businesses, but maybe some constructive criticism is what Coffee X Change needs to get itself back on track. I used to frequent this place often, many years ago when I lived in the neighborhood, and I was always happy with the service and the product — good coffee, good mochas, yummy pastries, and pretty consistent. Maybe management or ownership has changed during that time? Because the product that I received today is nothing like what I remember. First off, I want to say that the service was great. The gentleman who assisted me was friendly and efficient. If it weren’t for the excellent service, this place would be getting one star instead of two. The coffee was a different story. I ordered a latte with almond milk(I was pretty stoked about having almond milk as an alternative to soy) and it was downright horrific. I can usually tolerate coffee that’s been overly roasted, and this was definitely over roasted… but in addition, the flavor was seriously off. Like the espresso machine had not been clean in a really, really long time. It tasted and smelled rancid. Even the color was sorta putrid. I’ve had some pretty bad coffee in my day, like the weird concoctions that come out a dispenser at school, the bitter powdery stuff they provide in some hotel rooms, and the Circle K swill that’s been sitting on a warmer for several hours. When I need a cup of joe, I’m pretty willing to lower my expectations, and I can generally power through even a bad cup of coffee. But this latte was undrinkable. I actually pulled over at a QT for the sole purpose of throwing it away — it smelled that unpleasant. Looks like I will be sticking with Starbucks for now when traveling to the east side.
