I will say, after reading all the reviews on here I was very nervous to come here. My wife’s grandparents wanted to come here for a birthday dinner and after reading the previous reviews i wasn’t excited… Once we got here with a party of 8 we were seated immediately and they were pretty busy, I’d say about 50%. The drinks came out fast, the appetizers all came out within 5 minutes of ordering them, and the stake and prime rib were perfect! Each one was cooked exactly how we ordered it. The sides were great as well. The server was constantly refilling drinks and asking if we needed anything. We were all very impressed and will definitely be back!

Ordered takeout for dinner. Our order was placed based on the menu on Colt’s website. Showed up to pick up order and was charged $ 6.00 more for a NY Strip! Talked to the Mgr and I didn’t even get an apology. His excuse was«We post that EVERYTHING is subject to change.» Well Sir, that’s not how you do business. I strongly encourage all future guests to read the fine print and steer far away from Colt’s. Unless, you’re OK with false advertising!

Stopped in for our first visit for lunch today. I am hard to impress with steak. Ordered the bone in ribeye. Have to as it was very good. Lightly seasoned and cooked just right. Had a sweet potatoes. Was one of the best sweet potatoes I have ever had. The wife ordered the brisket and queso. It was ok. Very friendly staff. I truly enjoyed my meal!

OK, it is a sports bar that caters to a lot of locals. So, the food is bar food, but GOOD bar food. There are plenty of TVs for the games and game or not, they treat you like family. This place is the«Cheers» of Tucson. Finally, the prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. So, do not wear your tux, but do bring your appetite.

Large portions of mediocre food. We both had sandwiches which were very large, fries were cold and hard and taste was just OK but not worth the price.

Another great meal at Taste of Texas. Two of our party had the special which was a ribeye steak and the third party had the brisket. Each person commented how the meat was made to perfection. One also raved about the mash potatoes as well as the salad. The service was excellent and friendly. Looking forward to dining here again soon.

Ok service and ok food. Steak was decent. In my opinion it is over priced for the quality. We ordered the brisket quest dip which had no brisket and the cheese seemed like it was yesterday’s cheese dip. May have to think about coming in for a second try.

Less fancier than Texas Roadhouse with about the same fare. The food was ok quality, but when you factor in the price of the dishes and the use of the small plastic condiment cups«which cheapen the experience» it somehow leaves you lacking. The service was adequate but the one thing that struck me as off was not a single employee was smiling, everyone had a gloomy look on their face. So all in all if you have to go there you could do much worse.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. Always greeted with a warm welcome and bucket of peanuts. Usually order the Prime Rib and it’s typically pretty good. Our latest visit however was a huge disappointment. I won’t say it was the food, we didn’t get any. We weren’t served at all. The place was only a third full, not busy at all. For a Saturday night it was surprising. Not so much in hindsight. We were seated promptly, and then we sat. And sat. And sat. Until we felt completely invisible. So we left. The hostesses up front seemed truly distressed about it, but really what could they do. The servers seemed totally disinterested in their job. They stood around in the back talking… and the clincher? People seated behind us, after us, were served and their server did not even acknowledge us with so much as a hello. We’re regular customers after all, what gives? Obviously, we weren’t his table so he didn’t feel it necessary to assist us. So hopefully there will be some retraining going on, perhaps a shift in management? Someone needs to take control of the front of that house before what few customers they have disappear.

We tried taste of Texas for our first and last time. They offer a bucket of peanuts while you wait for your meal but you have to ask for the nuts or you don’t get them. Ribs were over cooked and slathered with sugary sauce. Not worth the drive.

Tough steak, bland cole slaw, not enough sauce on the wings… quite overpriced for mediocre food. Great service from our waitress, if not for her I would have complained. As it is I just won’t go back.

Hate leaving bad review but we depend on peoples honesty when they experience a new restaurant. The atmosphere is clean but cafeteria like, the bread looked good but dry as can be, the streak was over cooked and had no seasoning. The server was very polite so it helped a bit with the overall experience. Overall, I would not return for a second taste; thanks for trying:(

Visited this location on 4÷23÷15. All three of the meals we ordered were so-so. My brother had half rack of ribs, my husband had the BBQ brisket sandwich, and I had the special of the day, which was a pull-pork sandwich. None of of our meals were hot, they were all just warmed somewhat. When we mentioned it to our waitress, she said she’d be right back. But when she finally returned she said nothing about our complaint of slightly warmed food. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not eat there again.

The rib-eye steak was good, medium rare like I asked, and tender enough. The mashed potatoes were good, nice and lumpy as I like them, but they were COLD(and a small portion at that). The cole slaw was completely tasteless, almost no dressing at all. I see some people have posted on here that they were given a basket of bread, but we never were given that. But, as they often do here in Arizona, they just IMMEDIATELY brought the check as soon as they took my dinner plate away, even though I wanted dessert. It was 8PM and the place closed at 9PM, but I guess they were anxious for us to leave. I saw someone who had what looked like a nice brownie a la mode, but I never had the chance to ask for one. It looked like we were the last group to leave. I left still hungry.

It’s okay, but pretty hit or miss on taste and way overpriced for the quality. Hubs had a brisket & sausage combo. The pork was good, but the brisket was literally the worst I’ve ever had in my life. The pulled pork sandwich and fish finger basket were both decent. But a lot of the stuff you can tell is just bought bagged or boxed and passed off as made in store. The kids Mac n cheese is straight Kraft with extra cheddar on top. The green salad and cole slaw were both obviously pre-bagged mixes. Overall it was ok(minus the truly terrible brisket), but really disappointing quality given the high price of menu items

If it wasn’t for them having the U of A games then it would be only one star rating wise. I normally don’t like to give places bad reviews because everyone likes different things and have different opinions but I’ve been here enough to resort to this. This place isn’t bad for a drink and to watch the game but good food and friendly service that is actually worth paying for is a whole different story. On several occasions the staff just doesn’t seem to happy to well, service you. As if taking my order is the most horrific job in the world. Why would you want to bring your money to a place that has people who just aren’t happy to even see people? I mean if the place didn’t get any customers would they still get paid? Food wise it’s just so mediocre. Bland on taste, nothing really jumps out to me. Just regular food. Nothing«to die for». My last trip here will definitely be MYLAST! I came in last week to catch the game with a buddy who insisted I meet him there and grab a late dinner since I had just gotten off of work. Upon walking into the bar, the girl behind the bar already looked annoyed, which in turn had me already annoyed. My buddy is a regular there and doesn’t seem to have an issue with the place so I figured id be taken care of since I was pretty much pressured into coming in. Plus we have been here together a few times and it wasn’t horrible, just mediocre like i have already said. I was told the kitchen was about to close so try and hurry up and order,(as I’m still trying to sit down and take my coat off) with the girl staring at me with the most miserable look ever on her face as if implying«why would you be coming in late and wanting food at this hour?!» Should have taken that as another cue to just opt out of eating here. So I look over the menu and try to figure out what to get as she stands and stares and gets pissy that I need another second. I finally decide on shrimp skewers or something of that nature and water. Everything after that was ok service wise. Nothing special but nothing horrible until after at home. I experience the most HORRIFICFOODPOISONING ever in my entire existence of life! I kid you not! The shrimp was the last thing I had eaten and by 3am I woke up feeling just so miserable. Body aches from head to toe and just under the weather. No energy at all to function. I figured I was getting the flu but I didn’t have chills, fever or any flu or cold like symptoms. By morning I just laid there like a life less corpse. By mid afternoon on came the runs from hell, followed by vomiting by the evening. I have never been so miserable in my life even with a cold or flu. 48+ hours later I bounced back and was well enough to go about normal life routines. I don’t know if it was on purpose or because they were so eager to close the kitchen that my food was under prepared but that’s no way to treat your customers. So beware if you come in late. Maybe order something that doesn’t require to be thoroughly cooked or just stuck with a brew to be safe.

We have been to Colt’s a few times. We have only ever eaten in the bar area during NFL games. They usually have some pretty good specials during the games and they have several big screens. The food is mediocre at best when it is at its finest. After eating on every occasion we have found ourselves looking for the bottle of Tums and that is never a good thing. It is a great place to watch the game but for the food not so much. It is hard to find a good place to watch games on the NW side. This will work in a pinch and it is never crowded so finding a seat isn’t an issue. Just know that after you eat here your tummy will feel like the old pepto bismol or plop plop fizz fizz commercials from days past!

We really enjoyed eating here, I ordered the prime rib/shrimp combo. The prime rib was perfect and very very large. Little to no fat… tasted so yummy. Wife got the rib eye and even though she likes her steak cooked to a crisp it was very tender and had a very nice seasoning. Salads were good also and the bread loaf was hot and moist. My only concern is the noise level, there seemed to a lot of noise for being only half filled. Next time we will try the bar area. Finally, I think bathrooms speak loudly regarding a restaurants cleanliness. Speaking only for the mens bathroom, it was very clean and well kept

We decided to try Colt’s for their Sunday prime rib. We both ordered the prime rib, medium rare. We expected some pink. Instead we each got a very tough gray cut of meet. We were told that was medium rare. For sides we had the Caesar salad and baked potato. The potatoes were moist and done well, but we had to ask for butter or sour cream as neither plate came with either. Odd. The salad was cold and crisp, but boy was the dressing salty. The place was fairly empty. I guess this is why. Should stick with El Corral for prime rib.
