Fired Pie completely nails its concept of casual, customized pizza. The ingredients used are high quality, and $ 7.95 for a custom pizza with unlimited toppings is a great value! As someone who loves to layer on tons of toppings, I really appreciate this system. The staff has been consistently patient, efficient, and friendly each time we visit. The restaurant is always well-maintained and clean, and the background music is a good mix of styles at a reasonable volume. I will be coming back to Fired Pie regularly.

We came here for lunch one day and had a fantastic meal. We «built our own» with marinara sauce and asked for garlic oil on our crust. Yum! Since we are vegan, we didn’t have meat or cheese HOWEVER there were a lot of veggie choices and we were quite happy with our pizzas. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean. We will be back!

This is a great concept. Choose your sauce, choose your toppings. All one price. I suppose you could come up with something icky, but no one in our group had that happen. The toppings we had were tasty and well prepared. One person had tomato sauce, ham and pineapple with mozzarella. Another gad tomato sauce, a little mozzarella and spinach. Another had Alfredo sauce, non spicy sausage, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. One other had pesto sauce, mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, artichokes and olives. Everyone enjoyed their combinations. The servers behind the counter happily answered all our questions and were very friendly. I have more ideas of combinations I want to try.

Wowza! There isn’t a better pie for the money in Tucson. Pick as many toppings as you want. One price. Fire oven cooked to perfection. You won’t find better for the price.

This place is hit or miss. The pizza comes at a cheaper price because they use cheaper ingredients. If you notice the difference of GMOs or pesticides in foods, you might be dissapointed. There are more fresh pizza places in the city, but if you want a cheap pizza that’s fast and just like to eat what tastes nice, you may like it here. If they provide fresher items and ingredients that may cost more but be healthier, this place could be great.

Taste buds prepare to explode! You know that feeling when the back of your mouth by your molars kick in the«watering», that is when you realize the flavors you are experiencing are AWESOME! First time diner, but I expect to back later this week! I was walked in to a friendly greeting by a super friendly blonde girl(I cant recall her name). When the rest of the guys showed up we ordered and I was told: «Think of this like the pizza version of a Subway. Pick your items and they will build it exactly the way you want it, with whatever you want, for the same price.» Great description of what I did. It only took like 8 minutes and we were eating a fresh pie each. It was at this time I really noticed Daniel. He had cooked the pizzas, rang us up, and seemed to be everywhere. Smiling and chatting up customers and cleaning and bussing and ringing people up and hand delivering the food(not just yelling a name and moving on). «Service», that lost at times art form, in action and I had the chance to see and experience it!!! Apparently this is an AZ based local business, so kudos to the phenomenal training and care given to the team of Fired Pie!!! Great to see quality service and outstanding food rein supreme here!

When this place first opened the Staff were OK and the food was pretty good. Now, I really love to visit Fired Pie. Daniel and the staff are great and the Pizzas and Salads are fantastic. For Lunch it is my go-to spot when I am in a rush or just feel like a delicious Salad.(Small is $ 3.25) For Dinner I take my Wife and Kids and everyone is happy with Pizzas, Salads and Drinks for just over $ 30. Such a great deal!

I used to work at a pizza place exactly like Fired Pie when I lived in California. This place was alright but not the best pizza in the world. The service was pretty slow and they don’t give you a lot of options like they did in California and also they put a small amount of ingredients on your pizza. Me and my husband still go there a lot because it is good pizza, just hopefully they are able to change a couple things and provide better ingredients. The place in California was very urban and they really had a lot of options to make the pizza your own without charging extra. I really hope they can do the same here.

this little gem was amazing… went here on a groupon and will definitely be back again regardless. The make your own pizza is a steal and you can put anything you want on it without getting charged for ‘extras’. The crust was delicious, the ingredients were amazing, the touch of cilantro after it being in the oven was a great touch! I can’t wait to go back!!!

Love this place. Been here several times already since I found it. You just sort of pick whether you’re having a pizza or a salad, then you add whatever suits you. There are a ton of combinations, great fresh, quality ingredients that shine through in the finished product. My favorite so far here with pizza, is with pepperoni and spicy sausage! The pepperoni are small and perfect. The spicy sausage gives you just a little bit of kick and their mozzarella is exactly what you want in a fresh mozzarella. But what brings it all together is the thin, chewy crust. It’s spot on. Usually when I come though I get a salad. Theirs are pretty tasty too! and for the price they’re fantastic for downtown. Very filling, and flavorful. I’ve never left not completely happy. I love they have wine and beer to chose from, as well as soft drinks. It’s nice to have a good beer of glass of Chardonnay with your meal every now and again. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes a comfortable atmosphere, great food at really nice prices.

Cool concept. Yummy«whatever you want» personal pizzas. Good-sized item selection. Nice downtown location. Friendly and accommodating college student types working there. Pizzas are cooked right and taste better than average(4 stars). Awesome two-visit deals on Groupon.

As far as this trend is concerned(Pionic; Pizza Studio; Pieology; etc.) this is our new favorite, craft-your-own-individual-pizza restaurant. The premise for all of these joints is identical: 2 – 3 different types of thin dough, 11-inch crusts to choose from; typically 3 – 5 kinds of sauces and roughly two dozen ingredients(meats, fruits and vegetables) to add in any, unlimited combination to your pizza before they place it in the oven. Most of these places also make custom salads with the same philosphy(all you can mix) since the majority of the ingredients can be cross-adapted for either medium(pizza or salad). Surprisingly missing: more than one crust option; fresh bell peppers; goat or ricotta cheese. What sets this place apart is(1) that the oven is wood-fired and(2) the variety of ingredients that you can select from is both high-quality and truly varied — including less common: capicola; buffalo & bbq chicken pieces; fresh/sliced mozzarella; kalamata olives; basil; and meatball(real, sliced meatballs! not just crumbled beef); also six! kinds of sauces and six! kinds of cheeses. I went with 5 meats and 3 veggies, plus pineapple. I chose half pesto sauce and half garlic & oil. The youngsters opted for traditional tomato sauce with: pepperoni, salami, meatball, steak and(plain) chicken. They argreed, this was their new favorite(with Pizza Studio coming in second). The«chefs» are generous and friendly — readily accomodating requests for«double”-something. The cashier was disinterested and unfriendly towards us(but then I noticed she was that way with every customer). The pizzas are delivered to your table in a quick 10 minutes and man is the crust distinctively better(as far as thin-crusts go) than any of the others in this category. Drinks are fountain-style; utensils are plastic and when you’re finished, disposal is self-serve. Cartons are available for leftovers too. The establishment is a bit small and can run out of seating during lunch hour even with the big«common table» in the middle. It is kind of hipster/bohemian as it is made to appear like a(large) converted garage, replete with high ceilings, brick walls, and large, rolling garage doors with windows(like a firehouse). Street parking is slim but a public garage is across the street and the trolley stops in front of the restaurant. If you’re coming from 4th Ave, it is basically right in front of you after coming out from under the 4th Street under-pass(train bridge). Ps, don’t bother with dessert here when the Hub Ice Cream Factory is just 2 blocks west :)

Let me profess that I have been spoiled by good pizza all my life — New York, Italy, and etc. Given that — Fired Pie has some amazing thin crust pizza. Simply put, it is a well made fresh pizza with definitely high end ingredients. I’m a big fan of how you can custom make your pizza. Know that the pricing is a bit deceptive. $ 7.99 quickly turns into $ 10 plus tax(once you add toppings) and tip it becomes $ 12. Add in a beer it becomes $ 15. I was also not prepared that this is like the subway of pizza(as they make pizza subway style in front of you) — so this is probably not a great date location(unless she is super cool with being super casual). Also, the beer selection is a bit lame. Parking can be a nightmare here since this is downtown Tucson.

My husband and I came here with a groupon tonight, and we loved it! We shared the Italian salad, and the meaty Italian pizza, and both were delicious and filling. You can’t beat the price for the freshness that you get. The salad had just the right amount of dressing, and it was loaded with pepperoni and salami and cheese, and the thin crust, wood fired pizza was very tasty and also loaded with meat, they had a great selection of flavored iced teas too, and good service, they asked how we liked it afterwards, we will check it out again for sure, and it’s a great stop after our Monday Maynard’s walk because it’s right across the street!

This place is a little confusing when you walk in for the first time, but the guys and girls behind the counter are quick to put you in the right track. They basically use the same system as Subway. You pick your toppings, they throw it in the wood fire oven and your pizza comes out in a short amount of time. Oh, and they don’t have additional fees for extra toppings, which is refreshing. Let me tell you, the pizzas here are out of this world and the service is fantastic. I’m on a health kick right now, but if I’m going to eat Pizza on my cheat day, it might as well be here. The crust is thin, the ingredients are fresh, and like I said before, the pizzas are just numtastic!

I Was very impressed with fired pie as a lunch spot. High quality ingredients. Friendly service. Great $ 7.95 price point. Large portion sizes(I can only eat a half of the pizza in one seating). Convenient downtown location. Plenty of seating. While they focus on pizzas, they also offer salads. I love the selection of premium ingredients(buffalo chicken, spicy sausage, bacon, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts etc). I will be back!

Let me start this off saying this isn’t a fair review… I am spoiled by a similar pizza place on Grant and they’ve already stolen my heart. So this place has one crust… Seemed to have a decent meat selection… But the biggest problem is bell pepper. They only have«roasted peppers» which look extremely gross and most likely frozen. I got them any way cause bell peppers are my favorite, no flavor. Hopefully they step up a get fresh. Pepperoni was good, tomatoes were ripe. Staff was friendly. But just unimpressed. My hubs said I have no one else to blame but myself since it was my pizza creation… But it’s kinda my pizza standard so his opinion is invalid to me :) He liked it.

I hate to give this a 3 star, just because I think the potential is more than what we got. My husband misunderstood the menu and thought he was getting a pizza salad, luckily, I saved him. He was almost stuck eating a salad for dinner, and that wouldn’t have gone well. He got a buffalo salad, which was very tasty, and I got a meat lovers pizza. Had he not done this, I think our overall experience would have been better. He was just confused about how the whole thing works. This place is your basic Chipotle/Subway style. They make it in front of you and you tell them what you want. If you want a salad, they make it anyway you want. You want a Pizza, again, they make it any way you want! Everything tastes pretty good, but we just got thrown off by my husbands mistake. We will have to come back and do the experience again. We’re just not confrontational people and if we fuck up, we try our best to deal with the situation at hand. The salad was good, and the pizza was alright. Just need to try it again.

Great Pizza. I love thin crust! This place is the Chiplotle of Pizza. They have lots of toppings to make your favorite pizza. Tip– try more than 1 sauce at once. Very reasonably priced(about 8 bucks per pizza) and you may even be able to take a slice home later for a snack. The staff was so friendly too! It would be cool to seem them expand their toppings a little… maybe a few specialty toppings like figs, candied bacon, or some fresh/no cook greens such as arugula?
