The atmosphere here is really welcoming and relaxed. It’s a great date-night spot. The menu is relatively small, so be prepared for limited options.

We were excited to try this place after all of the hype it has received online. However, I now disagree with what I had read for the following reasons. We had to wait over 25 minutes for our server to come, only to be greeted by a «you guys look like you’re ready to order… Or… Did you have any questions?» We ordered wine with our dinner, which also took a long time to come out. The pizza did come out in a timely manner, however, it was not the correct pizza we had ordered. Kuddos to the guy who brought it out, who I’m assuming was a food runner and busboy, because he was extremely apologetic and said he wanted to make it right. Our server was not. She didn’t even come to our table until we were over halfway done with our meal and casually dropped an apology for things being messed up and didn’t even stay at our table long enough for us to order another drink. Our wine glasses remained empty for the entirety of our meal, even though we would have enjoyed another glass. She did not check up on us at all, but was apparently friends who the woman at the table next to us as she proceeded to discuss with her how the new girl that got hired is about to get fired for the next mistake she makes, how she feels about tip sharing, as she«works harder than other people there» and how she keeps screwing up orders at her other tables, all while she gave that table free apps. Jessica, perhaps you should think twice about what you say to the people in your restaurant as your tables are only inches from one another, especially when you’ve been avoiding a table while they continuously try to grab your attention(after you’ve messed up their order). I feel like you should«tip share» with the bus boy, as he is the one the truly deserves the tip we left at the table. At that point, the quality of the food doesn’t even matter. But I will say this, the pizza was very, very chewy and lacked flavor. I will stick with just about any other pizza joint in the city other than this place, large in part due to the terrible, embarrassing service.

This was a very good pizza and some good beer as well. The service was attentive but at times rushed. The wood oven brought the pizza up in a matter of minutes. the prices were reasonable.

Totally in the mood for a great pizza. Came here on a recommendation. Wow, so disappointed. $ 18 for a paper-thin pizza? The crust was so thin, a single pizza wouldn’t fill an adult. Few ingredients. Just couldn’t believe that they were so highly rated. A pizza from Pieology would totally kick this pizza’s ass in terms of flavor, value and ability to satisfy your hunger. Over-rated. Extra star for the customer service.

Shafted. Every now and then, I’ll eat at a restaurant and feel completely shafted and depressed when I leave. This is what happened tonight at Pizzeria Bianco. I live in NYC and Vancouver and travel to Italy several times a year, so I know good pizza, and I know when things are overpriced bullshit, as NYC and Vancouver are two of the most expensive cities in North America, and have a fair amount of bullshit. The menu had a salumi plate for $ 10, but we saw that the antipasti plate for $ 18 had«cured meats and artisanal cheeses» along with pickled vegetables, so we went with that. We were imagining some prosciutto and maybe some sliced pecorino with some pickled artichokes and sundried tomatoes. The plate arrived and we were shocked. There were two postage stamp sized pieces of cheese, two mini crostinis with a spam like substance on them, some fava beans, half a beet, two grilled scallions, some bitter greens and a slice of cold frittata. Italians would laugh at what was presented to us. The food tasted fine, but it definitely wasn’t «cured meats and artisanal cheeses.» It was spam and a small slice of cheese. The fava beans were fine, but we actually had homemade beans the night before that were better. The greens were fine, but nothing special. The grilled onions at Karamelo King kick the ass of Biancos onions. But the worst thing was that it cost us $ 18 dollars!!! A great profit margin for the restaurant considering all the ingredients probably cost $ 5, but as a customer I felt totally scammed. The waiter half heartedly asked us if we would like him to take the plate away when he saw the look of disbelief on our faces, but our kids who were starving, had already started fighting over the meager piece of cheese. So we had to force ourselves to eat the cold frittata, after all, we paid $ 18 for it. The pizzas we got were both fine, but again were overpriced. Honestly, the pizza we had last week at Whole Foods was just as good and 1⁄8 of the price of our Bianco bill. I’d say save your money. You can go to Karamelo King 14 times for the same price as one meal at Biancos, or feed your whole family with one $ 11 pizza from Whole Foods and get a few bottles of wine. Plus you won’t feel shafted and depressed when you’re finished eating it.

We picked this restaurant on a whim when my parents were in town and we wanted to explore the downtown Tucson scene. Even on a cold Tuesday night, it was bustling inside! Tiny menu, but everything we had was delicious. We started with the organic greens with red wine vinaigrette; the greens were crisp and fresh, and we all loved the fresh cracked pepper on top. We then got four pizzas to try amongst us: the margarita, the sonny boy, the biancoverde, and the wiseguy. The margarita was delicious in a very classic way, so for those looking for traditional pizza, choose this one. My personal favorite was the biancoverde: a sauce-less pie with ricotta, mozzarella, and arugula. The arugula was a nice bright flavor, and I loved just tasting the toppings without any sauce on the pie. The sonny boy was also great with crisped salami and olives, but was a little too salty for my taste(and that was the consensus of the table). The wiseguy was also good, but the onions paired with the fennel sausage was a bit overpowering for me. Great little wood fired pizza place. Worth checking out!

Excellent pizza, amazingly light yet chewy & tasty crust, fresh toppings and they will cook your pizza to your liking, so make sure to order light, medium or dark. Also they’re now open for lunch, so skip the evening crowds and get in off-peak hours for the best service. Even though I still prefer the original down town Phoenix location, but this one is much closer to home.

I only comment on the best places in Tucson. This is one of them! Went for a birthday dinner and got seated right away and the pizza was made fairly quick. You don’t know good pizza until you’ve been here. Well worth it!

Love this place! Eclectic and great restaurant that is quintessential congress street in downtown Tucson. The food is a little pricey but well worth the cost of the quality ingredients. I had the salami and olive pizza that was easily among the top artisan and wood fired pizzas I have ever had. I paired the pizza with a Sunbru Kolsch. For desert I had the lemon curd which hit the spot on a great pizza night out. The beer selection isn’t large but the few on hand are great, with some good locals as well. I ate at the bar, but there was a table or two open as well. The bartender provided great service and was knowledgeable All in all I will definitely be coming here the next time I’m in Tucson!

I’m going to keep this short, and somewhat sweet. The antipasto was ok, really, just ok. Beets, sweet potatoes, a bit of cheese, some beans, etc. For $ 18 or whatever it cost, I felt that it lacked any real sophistication. A plain roasted sweet potato isn’t something to write home about. Now, for the pizza, we tried the 3 «white» pizzas, at $ 18 a pop. For reference, I think the idea of paying anything over $ 15 for a 12 inch pie is bat shit crazy, but to be honest, these pies were well worth it. Very aggressive flavor profiles and a delicious crust. A great combination. My only issue was the size of the cut on the onions for the Wise Guy pizza. They were simply too large, and undercut the flavor of the fennel sausage on the pie. I actually picked them off. If I had to choose a favorite though, it was the Biancoverde. It was brilliant. In all, it was a nice dinner, but not something I’d do regularly. It’s a special occasion place. For the week to week, I’d rather knock out a Grandma Tony’s extra large pepperoni for $ 11. Stoner pizzas all day.

I’m trying Pizzeria Bianco tonight, sitting at the bar I started with a pear pecan goat cheese salad and a light dressing which was really good. A glass of la Valentina wine paired with my lasagna… Which is only made on select nights Friday thru Monday depending on the chef… Made with bechamel. The best lasagna I’ve ever had, and that’s a huge compliment with my mom being Italian. Wow. Jason the bartender made suggestions and he was spot on. They do sell their own tomato sauce on a jar $ 8 and tomatoes in can $ 6. I’m in love.

My family finally tried Pizzeria Bianco and we were not disappointed. First, I love that you are automatically given water and a bottle is left at the table. My husband and I usually never drink House wines, but we gave their red a try. We were pleasantly surprised. It was smooth and didn’t dry my mouth like some reds do. My daughters got the Margherita pizza and loved it! They loved that, contrary to many places, there weren’t fresh tomatoes on it, just tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil. Husband and I got the Sonny Boy. Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, olives and salami. Possibly the best pizza we’ve ever had! The service was fantastic as well. I would highly recommend Pizzeria Bianco.

Well, you know the mantra, New Yorker visiting Tucson and there’s no better pizza than in Brooklyn but Pizzeria Bianco is right up there. Incredible crust, ingredients totally first class, and an awesome staff. We had Jason, the manager give us the run down on the Bianco story along with Marlene, consummate bar keep made for an excellent night out. ps– desert a must! Sidenote= bathrooms, which in my opinion will tell you right away how a place is run, were spotless!

PIzzeria Bianco in Tucson? I had no idea… So when Nick and Bella suggested we head over there after a recent Unilocal Elite Event to grab a bite and wind down, I was totally game. We walked in at approximately 8:45 and were welcomed by Eddie, who was also our waiter. The kitchen closes at 9, so we promptly ordered our food and wine(house red for Bella and I and rose for Nick) and sat back and relaxed. The atmosphere is comfortable, warm and it was easy to chat with each other as we waited… and then we enjoyed the following: *fresh bread with olive oil(complimentary and delicious; oh so fresh!) *salads — I had the mixed green with a side of anchovies(yes, I love anchovies) and Bella had the house special salad. Both are sourced locally and were delicious. *veggies of the day, which was squash and cooked perfectly! *lamb meatballs — these were an interesting consistency; super tasty! *a perfect PB pizza with sausage I’m a huge Pizzeria Bianco fan in Phoenix, so I had high expectations, but Tucson exceeded those, which proves… you cannot go wrong at Pizzeria Bianco! Cheers!

Great service, great ambiance, and ah-mazing pizza. We sat on the patio, and ordered a small plate for an appetizer. I forget the name of the dish, but it had chicken and fingerling potatoes in a delicious sauce. It was mouth-watering. For our pizza, we ordered half-and half, with the Biancoverde(fresh mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta arugula) and the Wiseguy(onion, mozzerella and fennel sausage). It was nice that we could order two different flavors as long as they had the same base sauce. The Biancoverde was my favorite — super flavorful and yummy. We devoured the entire pizza rather quickly. The prices are a bit on the high end, but I think it’s totally worth it!

I liked Pizzeria Bianco just OK. Why? The space is too-too crowded. The tables are a bit too close to one another. I could heard the intimate details of not one, but three nearby tables. It was distracting. I didn’t care to listen in on their conversations — seeing as I had wonderful company! — but we were so packed in that you could not help but to hear what others were saying. And they weren’t being the loud, obnoxious types either. The service was very reliable. Too reliable, almost. When out, I am very attentive to when there is a line out the door. If there are others waiting for a table, I tend not to linger. There were numerous open tables in the dining room, but there were a couple of times we had the sense that our server wanted us to wrap up and go. But, other than that, lovely greeting by the hostess. FYI: The restaurant shares a bathroom with Playground. The menu is very slim. So little variety here. For the small plates, you have the option of fontina wrapped in prosciutto, antipasto and bites of cheese. The salads, while the items sound absolutely gorgeous, are also quite slim. And only a half dozen selections on the pizza?! Strange. We went with the Wiseguy. It has no sauce — lovely! — and is topped with roasted onions, mozzarella, fennel and sausage. Loved it! 100 percent of it. Delicious! I hate greasy, flabby pizza. This was far from it! Fresh and decadent, and plenty for two budding adults. But I am not certain that good pizza alone is good enough to lure me back.

A bunch of us decided to try this new place in town. We got there early and joined others standing on the street waiting for 4:00 to arrive. We got a big table in the back and watched as the restaurant quickly filled. It’s not a big place and is full of old vintage doors and fixtures. Very fitting for being in an old building brought back to life. We decided to order up 3 different kinds of pizza: The Rosa: Red onion, parmigiano, reggiano, rosemary, and AZ pistachios. I LOVED this one. The Wiseguy: Wood-roasted onion, house-smoked mozzarella, and fennel sausage. My friends liked this one a lot. The Marinara: Tomato sauce, garlic, and no cheese. Very popular with our group. As others have said, this is thin crust pizza and it’s on the expensive side. It reminded me of the kind of pizza you can get a Reilly’s…so I plan to go back there and do a taste comparison. It’s a job that needs to be done. :) Our server was good and we didn’t have to wait too long. The streetcar goes by and I noticed a few football fans there and I wondered if they would take the streetcar to AZ Stadium. That would be a perfect evening! I welcome Bianco to Downtown and wish them much success.
